We recently stayed for a short break, perfect base for our visit to Alton towers which we were not far from, thoroughly enjoyed the views, just beautiful. Cottage had everything needed for our stay, wood burner was lovely and kept it nice and cosy! Mick was very helpful and checked in to make sure we were settled! The WiFi was great for us, don’t expect signal - a perk for us! We would definitely recommend this cottage if you are looking for a base or even just a little getaway, relaxing with a beautiful location what’s not to like!

We have just spent the half term break at Gable Cottage with our 2 boys.

We have just spent the half term break at Gable Cottage with our 2 boys. We found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and very quaint. The kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher. Bedrooms are furnished well and bathroom is a good size. The main living area is lovely, looking out onto the courtyard, the wood burner kept us lovely and toasty in the evening. The cottage is spitting distance of the pub, we had Sunday lunch there which was amazing. You can come straight out into the countryside and enjoy lovely walks or you can get in the car and drive to many local points of interest. We visited, heights of Abraham, crich tramway, thors cave, monsal trail, peveril Castle and much more. Local town is Leek (10 mins away by car) with all the local amenities you could need. We would definitely recommend a stay here and we hope to return again Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Smashing wee cottage.

Smashing wee cottage....Mike,the owner went out his way to make sure all was good, with a couple of 'pop-byes'.....you just have to be a little more careful if you have any dogs due to road outside....but all in all we loved it.
