Family weekend break in Weymouth

Warm comfortable spacious cottage with good facilities. Host provided clean bedding and towels and a “welcome” basket which were much appreciated. Plenty of hot water for showers. We enjoyed our short stay there and would certainly return, perhaps in the warmer weather. We would definitely recommend to others.

The beds were lovely and comfortable which is always good, lovely big towels as well, every kitchen utensils that needed. Nice and roomy rooms, bathrooms lovely. The only slight negative is we were a bit chilly, as no door through to kitchen and up stairs, but minor issue.

A lovely countryside setting with a clear water beach a few miles a way. Joe and Alex are very accommodating hosts dedicated to ensuring you have the best holiday experience. Osmington is a lovely village with little traffic and very quiet. We would not hesitate to stay at The Old Milking Parlour again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage is spacious and warm with great facilities and a lovely private garden. We love the living space and Jo the owner was super welcoming. It’s an ideal holiday for any family who don’t mind somewhere a little rustic. It was great to hear the horses trotting by and the proximity to the coast was perfect. We had a great time with Archie, our retriever. Dog walking was challenging as there are hills all round but it kept us fit even if we did get lost on one occasion! The weather was fair and did not stop the two walks a day! Weymouth is a great seaside town and the trip brought back memories of when I was a child and Mum and Dad drove my three sisters and I down from Yeovil in our old Morris 10 ( back in the 1950's).

Lovely place to stay, the cottage was well equipped, however the king size bed upstairs was quite uncomfortable, and i’d go as far as to say there was a problem with the springs, this definitely needs attention. I would stay again but use one of the other bedrooms, we have the luxury of being able to book a larger property than we need.

A great cottage in a lovely location.

A great cottage in a lovely location. Fab for accessing all the main visitor hubs around Dorset. Cottage was very clean and well kitted out. The absolute only thing I would mark it down on was both the two double bed mattresses were really bad. Toppers had been used to obviously try to improve them a little but they didn’t really help much. New mattresses are definitely required!

Wonderful secluded location with excellent walks from the door into stunning scenery or to 2 local village pubs or a dairy farm shop with tearooms. Easy access to sea views and coastal walks as well as the full Thomas Hardy experience. A week was not enough for all the possibilities.

Absolutely fabulous cottage. The cottage Web photos do not do it justice. In an amazing setting with beautiful walks and views on the doorstep. We had a fantastic week in a 15 out of 10 cottage. With a bonus of unbelievable weather for the end of March. The only negative is unfortunately that we had to leave.
