We were due to stay at Red House Farm at Easter in B&B but the virus put paid to that, so when we took the decision to have a weekend break, it made absolute sense to book self catering at the Farm as it was in a beautiful part of the NY Moors, and one we hadn't visited before. The pre visit information from Sandra was excellent. She sent a number of videos which demonstrated how to access the facilities in the Hayloft; operate the wood-burning stove; the electrics etc. We were reassured by her e-mails which detailed the cleaning regime in respect of Covid-19, and how we could ensure our safety during our stay. The Hayloft had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we enjoyed being in the heart of the farm and greeting the English Longhorns daily in the yard next door. The only reason I have given an overall score of 9 is because the Hayloft is open plan and, as I do not sleep very well, I was unable to get up and read without putting on all the lights and disturbing my husband. I suggested to Sandra a small bedside light would be useful. There were several walks from Glaisdale and the coast was only twenty minutes' drive away.
