We had a lovely stay at Swift Cottage,it was good value for money for the time of year (April), and it was clean. There were a few little things that may affect some folks more than others that are worth a mention, but I'd stress that these are minor and certainly didn't impact on our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the cottage.
Heating- we had to Google how to work the heating! It did work and we did get warm enough, but some instructions for those less tech savvie would be useful.
Shower-the shower itself is fine, but the imminent threat of flooding does require some management (especially I imagine for those with long hair that might take a while to wash). This wasn't as big an issue as it sounds, we just used it at a lower pressure and all was well. You can't have an old cottage without some character to go with it!
Parking-parking was fine. If you've got a wider vehicle it's tight, but works. Shared space with the neighbours who are nice and accommodating (42), neighbour at no 2 didn't have a car so as long as she can access her gate there didn't seem to be a problem. We parked over the road just for convenience so that's also an option.
The ship Inn-has lovely food and very welcoming staff and very conveniently located.
Land train-access was very close and perfect to get into Bridlington
Beach-conveniently close (rocky beach) lots of steps (158) great for kids to count up and down, not so much fun if you have mobility issues.
Sewerby Hall-nice place, our kids liked the house, gardens and play area.
