The property is in a great location. That's both a pro and a con. The pro = easy to walk to everything in the village. Easy to get to the #1 Gondola. That's about where it ends.
The Cons: There is no parking and you have to carry your stuff from the check- in location blocks away. If you want to park, you can, for $40 per day, blocks away. Being in the heart of the village means you are subjected to constant noise. The windows are not sealed well. You hear everyone outside like they were standing in the unit. We had groups of drunken skiers nightly yelling and having a good time right out front.. going on way past midnight!
Then you have the unit upstairs. I would never recommend you rent the lower unit we stayed in. We had renters above us who were horribly loud. We could hear every word, action, movement, etc. Water flushing, showers, and so on.. horribly load banging, crashing, talking, etc.
Now for the unit: The unit was in horrible condition. It had a horrible layout. The master bathroom is wide open to the bedroom. The toilet area is squeezed into the shower area. Carpeting is horrible dirty. Black all around the edges, stains, etc. I'm guessing 20+ years old! There was no upkeep or maintenance done on this unit. Lamps and lights without bulbs, broken lamps, broken shower door handles (couldn't open the shower door once you got in and closed it), kitchen had broken appliances, toilets ran all day if you didn't fiddle with them. The upstairs toilets ran for days... You just laid in bed listening to the rushing water noise.
Also keep in mind there are a lot of stairs you must climb to get to the unit.
At the end of the day,for what we paid for the unit vs what we received was embarrassing. The owners need to spend a few dollars to make the repairs, replace the discusting carpeting, etc.
With all this said, the management team was very accommodating and friendly.
