Lovely quiet location but just a short walk into shanklin and all its amenities, frequent bus service to most parts of the island, well equipped comfortable cottage with plenty of space both in and out, have stayed next door in clematis wich is just ad nice.

Absolutely perfect!

The cottage is beautifully appointed. Spotlessly clean, with everything one could possibly need. Walking distance to Old Shanklin and through Rylstone Gardens to the back entrance to Shanklin Chine and the beach. Close to the bus stop. We had a bit of an emergency with my 4 1/2 yr old grandson and Mandy was wonderful. The supply of toys in the house and the outside playground were perfect for my grandson.

Loved our stay!

We all loved our stay at this house. It had a very home from home feel and had absolutely everything that we could have needed. The garden was fantastic for children. The location of the property was perfect to walk a few minutes in to picturesque Shanklin and to the beach. We’d love to visit again!

Excellent family holiday location

The house was bigger than it looked in the pictures and the garden, even though shared is plenty big enough. A 2 minute walk takes you into Shanklin old village and 5 minutes more takes you to the beach. Communicantion with Peter and Mandy was excellent. All in all a lovely house in a first class location. Great for families.

Wonderful home from home in a great location

A spacious, comfortable and well presented house in a very quiet but convenient location. Good sized bedrooms, one ensuite with balcony overlooking gardens. The cottage is clean and amazingly well equipped, everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. Off street parking is very convenient and Shanklin Old Village, with quaint shops, tearooms, restaurants, pubs and The Chine (a favourite of our family especially beautiful at night) are all within walking distance. The cottage is perfectly located for the beach, bus stops for a trip across the island and crazy golf is a stroll away. Our family have stayed 7 times now and look forward to our visit every year. Its a place suitable for the very young to the old! The owners could not be more friendly or helpful and every holiday has been so enjoyable that we will stay nowhere else on the island. The cottage is the perfect base to explore the many attractions, reached by quiet roads and through wonderful scenery, although the cottage is so nice that we have been more than happy to stay in on the odd day! I would thoroughly recommend the cottage an island for a perfect break away on an island that is unspoilt and has everything nearby.

Excellent accommodation, perfect location.

Another lovely stay at Jasmine Cottage, Chestnut Mews. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and furnished. It has good sized rooms and a well equipped kitchen. The cottage has been well thought out and maintained and is spotlessly clean. The garden is large and a great, safe place for children to play. The cottage is in a perfect location for visiting the old village. It is a very short walk to the village, gardens, beach and tea gardens. Everything about our stay was ideal. Booking was easy and efficient communication and information from the owners was spot on. We love it and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when visiting the Island. Can't wait to stay again!

A lovely cottage in a prefect setting and location

This was our second visit to the cottage and we loved it. The garden is beautiful, the location is perfect (5 minutes walk to the centre of Shanklin) and the house is immaculate, well stocked with essentials and very homely. There was plenty of room for 2 families - 4 adults and 2 children) and the owners ensure a warm welcome with fresh flowers, wine and a few basics to start the holiday. I would definitely book this cottage again and would recommend to friends and family.

We have owned Jasmine Cottage for twelve years, it was not our plan to rent out our holiday home, but it came with bookings and did so well that we just carried on.
We have three children, one boy and two girls, although almost grown up now, they all love Shanklin and the beach and can't wait to stay in the cottage.
Being a close family all hands are on deck, our mums are a great help, we have lovely housekeepers and their families who also help, and a willing gardener who turns his hands to almost anything.
Knowing how much families have to take with them on holiday we have tried to think of everything so that all that needs to be had is a good time!
We really hope you love the cottage and The Isle of Wight as much as we do.

We chose Jasmine cottage for its great location, we bought Honeysuckle first followed shortly by Jasmine, and a year or so later Clematis, these are also holiday cottages, we were finding it hard to find a week free for ourselves! We love how close they are to the beach, water-sports, The Old Village, parks, and great countryside. The size of the garden was another great plus for us as our children were very active with plenty of energy. Almost grown up now they still love to see the rabbits on the lawn and looking out for and feeding the squirrels in the winter. We love the fact that you feel miles away from the bustle of a busy seaside town, yet are close enough that within a few minutes walk you can be part of it.

Jasmine Cottage is great for families, an easy holiday that can be as relaxing as needed and as exciting as you wish to make it ! Its the garden and location that make it somewhere you would like to come back to, hopefully the cottage too but the garden is what seems to stand out with the children!
