There was initial confusion about how to access our unit, as we not received any info from the owner. VRBO was great! They contacted the property when the owner was unreachable, and reserved a night for us at the same property, and promised to work it out. When we arrived, the front desk told us they had two reservations for us, our original reservation, and the one night reservation from VRBO. The front desk confirmed that an email had been sent, but not to us. It had been sent to the wrong email address.
We were able to access our unit, got great recommendations from the front desk about where to go for dinner, evening entertainment, etc.
The room smelled faintly of smoke, though its on a "Non-Smoking floor"... We found a cigarette butt on the floor of the walk-in closet, and a plastic bag had been secured around the smoke detector with tape! The shift manager offered to move us, and was extremely apologetic.
The unit was spacious, and comfortable. The full kitchen was stocked with all that we needed for light cooking. The jacuzzi bathtub was great! There was noticeable water damage around the shower, but the shower functioned and drained well. The bed was very comfortable, linens and towels seemed new and clean. Balcony was clean and a nice surprise.
The grounds were attractive, the pool was well maintained, though on the cool side (advertised as "heated"). The underground parking seemed secure and was very convenient for a week when there were festivities and street parking was hard to come by.
The staff were great. We really enjoyed our stay despite the few hiccups!
