Hi Audrey & Marv, We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience you experienced due to the restaurant/bar being closed at the Pearl. We understand that having a restaurant nearby was a deciding factor for you to book the property and that it was disappointing to you that the restaurant was closed. However, we do not make any promises that a local restaurant, or any other local business, will be open during one’s stay. We include information about local business and attractions in the majority of our listings' descriptions so that our guests know what our wonderful island has to offer. We can not guarantee that they will be open and available at all times for our guests. Many of the island's businesses are seasonal in nature and may use the offseason to renovate, or make repairs to the establishments. We highly recommend that our guests contact those establishments directly to ensure they will be open during the time of your stay. The island’s restaurants and attractions do not dictate the cost of the rental property, and therefore are not listed in the amenities list on the property information. As such, we did not agree that a refund was justified. As a courtesy, we did offer you a 20% discount off a future stay at the Sapphire, which you declined. It is unfortunate that you were not able to enjoy your stay because of this, but we hope that you have a better experience on the island in the future. Regards,
