The house itself is in a great location - a block or 2 from shops, restaurants, Comedy Club, beaches, theatres museums, The Conrad, etc. Parking is so convenient but you never need your car again until you leave La Jolla.
The beds are comfortable and the home itself is clean. The appliances are top notch. It’s hard to describe how sad it is that the owners make zero investment in the furniture, cookware, kitchen amenities or linens to provide any sense of luxury that corresponds to the property itself. It cheapens the experience. Vacasa manages it well and responds when things break (dryer broke, got locked out from initial entry, vent covers dropped onto the cooktop with a crash) so they have a ready staff nearby. I got the sense that NO extra anything is on offer. No extra sheets or towels, 2 kitchen towels only, Folgers coffee provided, lol, but not one other thing, dishes and cutlery were mostly filthy with dried on food and put away in cupboards like it was clean, (probably by previous tenants or lack of rinse agent in the dishwasher). It’s a good value for the house and location but that’s really it. I doubt Id stay again but would look at other Vacasa properties. I’m curious if the parsimonious provisions are the owner or the management.
