Be just steps away from La Jolla’s quieter Windansea beach when you stay at this beautiful newly renovated surf nest decorated in a boho mid century beach theme. Spend the day at the beach, just two blocks away, or at the home’s private pool. In addition to being just 2 blocks from the beach, you’ll be close walking distance to La Jolla and Bird Rock restaurants, coffee, cafes, shops, and a Sunday morning Farmer’s Market. There are also nearby trails, caves, and seals to check out.

The one story home features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom with king size bed opens out to the pool. Another bedroom, with queen size bed, looks at a private patio. Third bedroom offers twin bunk bed plus trundle rollout twin, to sleep 3 separately, and opens to its own private patio.

The main living areas include a spacious living room with plenty of seating and a large flat screen tv. Dining room includes a large table with seating for six and a fireplace. Desk and chair and extra rolling computer tray are available for remote workers. Living and dining areas walk out to a private patio with pool, outdoor dining table and chairs, barbecue grill, and fireplace.

The newly updated kitchen offers all appliances including stove, oven, microwave oven, filtered water, refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, coffee maker, dishwasher, and many pots, pans, utensils, cooking and pantries supplies you may need.

The home is equipped with extra linens, towels, beach towels, and beach umbrella. It is also stocked with toiletries and a hair dryer. As well as cards, games, puzzles, books, and DVD movies. The laundry room is available with a washing machine, dryer, detergent, iron, and ironing board.

Fir those traveling with babies, we have a new Graco pack-n-play with sheets, that also has a bassinet feature for younger babies.

Three parking spots are provided and plenty of parking in front.

Things you should know:
- Like most coastal homes, this home does not have air conditioning. Rooms have quiet high speed ceiling fans for extra breeze if needed. The house has heat.
- The pool is not heated
- No smoking in or on property.
- There are 3 steps to enter the property. There is 1 step into a shower. Which might not make the home suitable for everyone.
- Pet friendly fenced in yard
- Quieter neighborhood suitable for quieter guests. Excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties are not allowed.

Great location within walkable distance (5-10 minutes) to the beach. Centrally located to a lot of different activities in the San Diego area. I would stay again and recommend this property to others.

Our stay was great! It was located near many wonderful place to eat. The ocean was a short walk away. The hosts were amazing and very attentive. The kids LOVED the pool. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything we needed was here. We would most definitely stay here again.

This is a stunning property in the perfect location.There is short walk to the best beaches in La Jolla and an easy walk into town for best restaurants, bars, and coffee shops as well as shopping.The house are phenomenal and the house is absolutely beautifully restored.Would recommend it for anyone interested in the Perfect La Jolla escape

WONDERFUL house in a great location! The inside is beautifully updated with a gorgeous open floor plan. From the kitchen you can see the pool. This was a great place for families to stay. The kids loved the pool, even though it was not heated. The location in La Jolla is unbeatable. You are only two blocks from the beach. We also did a lot throughout San Diego and many of the main attractions are within 15 to 30 minutes of the house. However, La Jolla offers a great area to get away and not be so congested.The owners of this property were also fantastic. Easy to reach and wonderful in their responses.We highly highly recommend this property and hope you enjoy having a great vacation there!It was a delight!

We loved our stay at Surf’s Nest! The location is unbeatable, and the house was clean, fully stocked, and nicely updated. We enjoyed the pool immensely!Check-in couldn’t have been easier, and the owners provided all the information you could need to enjoy your time there. If we ever come back to La Jolla, we would 100% stay again.

Schön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Alles da, was man braucht. Netter Pool, der mit Saugroboter saubergehalten wird. Terrasse recht groß, aber sie war nicht sauber oder gekehrt, als wir ankamen und ist bei weitem nicht so ansprechend, wie auf den Fotos! Auch das Tor und der gesamte äußere Eingangsbereich mit kleinem „Garten“ ist nicht schön und davon gab es auch keine Fotos. Wen aussen herum ein bisschen Chaos nicht stört, ist gut aufgehoben, denn innen ist es wirklich nett.

Best place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing stay

Our reason for our stay was our mother went through a difficult cancer treatment and doctor suggested she reduce her stress. I liked this location was very thorough in the description making for an easy setup process. The hosts were great with communication. We arrived to a very clean spacious and complete house. The area was very quiet and easy to travel to areas. The week we spent was great for not only moms health but our own as well. We are looking forward to returning to this place

Perfection!

We enjoyed a fabulous stay! My husband and I, with my two daughters and their husband/boyfriend! We were in SanDiego to celebrate my youngest of three daughters, who graduated San Diego State! We love LaJolla and Wind and Sea Beach! The house came perfect for the six of us to sleep comfortably, plenty of space, amazing back yard, proximity to beach and our favorite spots in LaJolla and Pacific Beach! We highly recommend and would definitely hope to return! Amazing stay!

Perfect location for a fun girl’s week

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Surf’s Nest. It has been beautifully renovated while keeping the mid century design of the house. It is a very short walk to the beach to watch sunsets or have a picnic while soaking up the sun. La Jolla and Bird rock are both close to the home. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Highway 5 to go to other areas of San Diego. The traffic is rough between 4-6:30pm so plan around those times.

Spring visit to Lego Land

My grand son had a blast to go to the park ( easy drive) and at the beach. Rest of the family had a relaxing time and enjoyed near by beach and town very much. The accommodation was comfortable cleanliness adequate ( our family is very picky ) owners very responsive and visitor packages were very helpful

Beautiful Home

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Jolla. This property is so close to the beach. At night it’s so nice to open the windows and listen to the waves crash against the beach. The house is spacious and clean. It’s beautifully decorated and very warm/inviting. We had a great time!

Awesome adventure in La Jolla

My family had the pleasure of staying at this lovely private oasis in La Jolla for 5 beautiful nights! Perfect location! My family enjoys walking and it was great to go for an evening or morning stroll on the beach. We had fun on many of our scenic jaunts to explore the shops, museums and galleries in both La Jolla and Pacific beach. If you don't care for walking you can take advantage of the public transportation. There is a bus stop right outside the front door to take you to Old Town, the Seaport or even Coronado. You can easily purchase a PRONTO card online that you can use for public transportation to reach all the great attractions that San diego has to offer.The home is spacious, nicely decorated and offers very luxurious linens and plush towels. We didn't use the pool but it was nice to just sit by it to unwind. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but if you choose to dine in you'll be thrilled with the dream kitchen unbelievably stocked with top of the line appliances and cookware!My family made many wonderful memories at this lovely home and we all look forward to returning for another awesome adventure sometime soon! Beautiful house w/ great location!

We loved our stay at Surf Nest! Centrally located near shops and restaurants, walkable to the ocean. Clean and well kept, beautifully appointed and comfortable. Our kids loved all she games and we loved hanging out on the pool deck. The owners gave us all the info we needed up front and had lots of great recs for places to eat nearby. Now that we’ve fallen in love with La Jolla, we’ll be back!

We love the Windansea and surrounding area and were so happy when we found this perfect Surf Nest just 2 blocks away. Not only was it in walking distance from everything we liked, it also a private pool, and a nice size yard so we can enjoy a garden and grow vegetables, herbs, and fruit trees.

We liked the older mid-century charm Surf Nest offered and decided to play it up. A few of the key furniture pieces you see in the home are actual mid-century pieces collected by us through estate sales, auctions, dealers, or antique shops.

Also, the majority of the art hung up around Surf Nest was made by the home owner with local seaweed from Windansea beach. The goal is to add to the collection with other local artists and would be available for purchase for those interested.
