I moved in 2005 to Koh Samui from Cirencester in the UK. I travelled to Thailand and other countries in this part of the world from 1990. From the places I visited Koh Samui became clearly my favourite destination.

Inspired by the opportunity for business I made the decision to move to Koh Samui and develop a new rental enterprise.

I created my own Flooring business when living in Cirencester. During this time I was also heavily involved in property development and property rental. This became a strong passion of mine, having created a large number of varying style properties in the UK. It was at this time I sought a new challenge and the idea and opportunity of moving to Koh Samui arose.

Since moving to the island I have created 15 properties, of which there are 9 luxury villas for rental, ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with their own swimming pools, four with spectacular ocean views, and all with an individual and tropical style. This collection of stunning villas are known as Peacefulvillas.

There have been a great many challenges in developing villas in a vastly different culture and environment in which I was brought up in. The challenges at times have been stressful, demanding and exhausting! The rewards however have far outweighed the challenges and have been able to stretch my creativity and inspiration.

Living on the island and surrounded by the beautiful, tropical nature I don’t feel the need to be anywhere else. Peacefulvillas keeps me strongly motivated and busy every day, where I enjoy to meet people from all over the world who come to stay, and often return to one of our villas.

I have only returned to Europe twice in 20 years of living on the island. One was for three days in Milan and another for 24hrs in Madrid, both to watch the mighty Spurs play in the Champions League !!!!

Villa Topaz provides totally private accommodation in a lovely tropical area, away from the hustle and bustle. Yet only a 10 min drive away is the town of Lamai, which offers a beautiful, expansive beach, smart beachside restaurants, bars, shopping and other attractions.

At the villa you have many pleasures to enjoy, ie sitting by the poolside, enjoying a barbecue, shopping in a local Thai market for fresh fish and meat to cook on the barbecue and exploring this unique local area.

The location of Villa Topaz is ideal for those who want to experience authentic Thai culture. The villa is in the south, which is a quieter part of the island. There are many places to explore with peaceful local beaches, fishing villages, Rum Distillery, Thai family run restaurants and the beautiful Laem Sor Pagoda to visit, with many other lovely places.

Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, 5 min drive away, has popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc. You can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with exercise equipment which is free to use.

I chose this location to create Villa Topaz, as this is a natural, peaceful and very beautiful area of the island. It holds a lot of charm which often is lost in the busier, more touristy areas.

Villa Topaz has been created, following 1 Bedroom Villa Amber the previous year. We have 10 villas for rental in the south of the island. In 2020 we proudly completed luxury ocean view, 2 bedroom Villa Moonstone which can also be rented out as a 1 Bedroom, and is the latest design in the collection of Peacefulvillas.

We provide complimentary/free pick up from your arrival point on the island to take you to Villa Topaz and a return journey at the end of your stay.

Villa Topaz is a tropical, high quality villa, ideally suited for couples. It has beautiful furnishings and fittings throughout. The villa provides an idyllic sanctuary for couples with its exotic, tropical atmosphere, where a special and romantic setting has been created.

There is a 7 x 5 mtr salt water swimming pool with a jetted plunge pool and surrounding lush garden. A lovely Lotus pond filled with colourful tropical fish. You have a built in barbecue at the poolside where you can enjoy to dine el fresco or visit the many wonderful restaurants around nearby.

Less than a 5 min walk is a Thai Restaurant serving both Thai and European food; popular Sweet Sisters Organic cafe and restaurant is 800 mtrs; there is also beautiful Baan Bo Ran village with dining indoor rooms has aircon or outdoor tables by the lake, and 5 min drive away is Baan Kao Restaurant idyllically situated on the beach. There are many other lovely restaurants around only a 5 - 10 min drive away. A few mins walk from Villa Topaz are also couple of local shops.

Located in the south, which is a quieter, more relaxed, part of the island you will have the opportunity to explore and observe the local Thai way of life.
