From there you can take the Cévennes steam train to Saint Jean du Gard, departure from the Corniche des Cévennes. <br><br>From the Mont Aigoual Observatory (1567 m) or the summit of Mont Lozère, you can admire the grandiose spectacle of the Cévennes National Park.<br><br>A visit to the majestic site of the Pont du Gard will enchant you, as will a visit to the nearest towns: Uzès and its duchy, Nîmes and its Roman remains, Avignon and its city of the Popes, Aigues-Mortes, a medieval city...<br><br>You will also be seduced by the fine sandy beaches of the Languedoc Coast (La Grande Motte, Grau du Roi, Palavas) and by the wild beauty of the Camargue, cradle of a unique and protected flora and fauna (famous for its bulls, horses, flamingos, rice and traditions). <br><br>Many markets will allow you to appreciate the gastronomy composed of olives, tapenade, brandade, grapes or figs without forgetting its cartagena.<br>Throughout the summer, the surrounding villages are animated by votive festivals (Camargue races, encierro, abrivado).<br><br>If you are a canoeing enthusiast, the descent of the Ardèche gorges is a must.
