Fabulous week stay

Lovely house, great facilities and has everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Great location and the views from the balcony are great, can see the sea and the runway. Will definitely return.

Excellent location, everything you need

We had a lovely time and have booked for next year. The location is excellent, beach,restaurants 5min walk. the House is well laid out and has everything you need for family/dog friendly holiday. Enclosed patio a bonus. Decor a little tired in places but didn’t spoil our enjoyment. Would highly recommend

Great house in a fabulous location

We all had an amazing time at the view. The house is spacious, clean and the views are fabulous. The kitchen was very well equipped and an air fryer would be a great addition. The beds were comfy and the TVs in the main bedrooms were a lovely touch. We would definitely stay there again!

Another enjoyable holiday at 'The View'

Excellent accommodation with great views of the sea from the balcony and from the top floor the range of Snowdonia can be seen. In a good position for the beach and a short walk into the centre of Rhosneiger. Kitchen welll supplied. Downstairs in the Garage playroom table tennis is set up.

This property needs some investment to make it a comfortable place to stay

We've stayed in Rhosneigr many times in different places and this one was disappointing. We wouldn't return to it. On arrival, it was very dusty - you could literally write your name in the dust of kitchen shelves and lamp bases - and bathrooms weren't very clean. Though I've contacted Anglesey Holiday Lettings for things like faulty wifi during stays before and found them very responsive, calling their urgent line on a weekend to have someone come round and dust a house that they've already signed off as being clean while we were there, present in the house, felt uncomfortable so I cleaned the place myself as I went along. To be fair to AHL, when I discussed this with them after our stay they said they would have been happy to send someone round. Positives: - Nice balcony and view - We enjoyed the long table for big family meals - The location was good Negatives: - The bedrooms are small, and the master bedroom in particular had been made an awkward space through thoughtless furniture. Instead of making the most of the space by choosing a bed with a headboard and no protruding frame at the bottom, the bed has an unnecessary chunky, heavy cornered end to it which meant I had to turn to the side and edge past it. - The master bed was incredibly creaky. We had some terrible nights of sleep. - Doors and floors were all creaky - Everything felt a bit meagre. The sofas weren't especially comfortable. Pillows were the thinnest I've ever slept on. The carpet was as thin as it gets. Just not much comfort. Given there's only one living area for lots of people, it would have been nice to sometimes escape into a comfortable bedroom. - There needs to be a bit of investment in the furniture. It was all quite cheap. How much can you pick a lamp up for, £10? Lamps had broken shades which just felt unnecessarily cheap. Coat hangers were scarce and scrawny. The kitchen clock needs batteries, one of the sofa arms was coming apart a bit, the lamp for the dinner table didn't work so it was just bright overhead spots. The shoe rack by the front door was useless; it was so flimsy that shoes just fell off it. It was just all a bit lazy. - The freezer needed de-icing. - The fridge is very small for a house of 8. We found a fridge in the utility area which would have been helpful but it didn't work. - The small teal sofa was stained. - There was no big pan for a house of 8 so we were cooking potatoes and pasta in a wok. All in all, a bit of thought needs to be put into this property.

We're pleased you enjoyed the balcony and views, the location and those big family meals around the dining table, although we're sorry that overall The View didn't meet your expectations. We were particularly disappointed to read your comments regarding cleanliness. As you acknowledge, nothing was reported to us during your stay and we would absolutely have sent the housekeeping team back to the property had we known. We completely understand that guests don't necessarily want their holiday interrupted, but we would always rather be given the opportunity to put something right at the time. Following your feedback, we have since visited and inspected The View ourselves and have worked through the individual points you raised. The beds are sound and sturdy, as we would expect them to be in a busy holiday property. We have also tested the additional fridge in the utility area and can confirm that it is working. We couldn't find any broken lampshades during our inspection, although we agree that some are older and these will be kept under review. We have also taken your point regarding cookware on board and have added some additional pans. Some of the other comments regarding the style, furniture, bed design and comfort are naturally more subjective, and different guests will have different preferences. Nevertheless, they have all been noted and shared with the property owner as part of our ongoing review of the property. Thank you again for the feedback. We take specific, constructive points seriously and will always act where something needs attention. We're sorry The View wasn't the right property for you on this occasion, but we're pleased that you continued to find our customer service responsive and hope we might welcome you back to Anglesey at another of our properties in the future.

Stunning location in fantastic property

Loved our week away in this property. Loved the layout: open plan too floor with mountain views from back windows and ocean views from the front. The plane spotters amongst us loved the proximity to the end of the runway and the beach lovers the proximity to the sea. House was well equipped and clean. Would love to return

Great location

The location of the view is excellent, close to all amenitie. The house has plenty of space however very tired, in need of an upgrade. It’s supposed to house 8 people however cannot sit 8 people comfortably in the living room. Sofas are very uncomfortable and damaged. Showers are good but very worn. Garden good for dogs. Excellent storage in the basement. Not enough storage in the bedrooms.

What a View

The View really lived up to its name. The day we arrived there was even snow on Yr Wyddfa. It is a very comfortable well equipped house and lovely and warm. The house is in a good position for getting to the beach easily and a nice easy walk to the village centre.

Lovely apartment in great location

Really enjoyed our stay, apartment had everything you could need and was the perfect location, very modern and spacious with great views. Our only negative was the noise of the boiler through the night in the back double room and as the boiler is directly underneath this room it created a very warm heated floor! Although we could control the heating (which was very toasty) we had no control over the floor. Very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend

You need to be fit, but the view is great!

This is an upside down house with the open plan living room up 3 flights of stairs, so taking shopping up can be a bit tiring. The main bedroom (with en-suite) is very tight on space around the bed. The garden furniture on the balcony and in the rear garden is very tired. Saying all of that, we had a lovely time. You can watch the sun rise over Snowdonia, see a little bit of the sea, watch the jets taking off and landing at RAF Valley, and best of all, be in the fabulous, dog friendly beach of Rhosneigr in minutes.

What wonderful views!

A lovely comfy modern upside down house close to a wonderful beach and the shops and restaurants of Rhosneigr. Well equipped lots of space and bathrooms - magnificent living room , kitchen, dining area. We really enjoyed the views from the balcony of the sea and the kite surfing; and the views of the mountains from the dining room table. Possibly not a good choice if you find it difficult getting up and down stairs but we thought it was well worth the effort

Disappointed

On arrival dead flies on window sill on top floor. En suite shower would not drain. Vertical blinds on top floor had panels missing. Outdoor furniture in backyard covered in green mould, so unusable. Toilet brushes had excrement on them. Dishwasher tablets/capsule dispenser not working. No key to lock internal garage door, which was important as external garage doors not very secure.

Autumn break with family

A four day break for our multi generational family of eight adults. The house was lovely and very clean. Very well equipped with good quality crockery etc. We dined in three nights including Sunday dinner and couldn’t want for anything except perhaps a teapot. The house needs to have two front door keys as front door can’t be opened from the inside and needs locking when exiting. It was a problem at night when the older generation wanted to have an early night but young people wanted to go to the pub. It meant locking them in the house and once in they couldn’t leave. Alternative would be to leave the front door unlocked. We weren’t happy doing that. A thumb nail lock would be a good idea. We had some lovely walks and Rhosneigr is a great place for beach walks and relaxing.

A Great House for a holiday

We loved everything about the house particularly the upstairs living area with the balcony . The family enjoyed the use of the table tennis table . The one problem with a ten month old is the noise transmission between the floors because of the open plan design . We had a lovely holiday

Modern Luxury- A stone’s throw from the beach

A super, versatile house, well equipped and comfortable. It is an ideal base to explore Angelsey. The beach in Rhosneiger is beautiful- we saw some amazing sunsets! You are very close to Valley- we had our own private air show- even seeing a red arrow and fighter jets doing manoeuvres. The town itself has an excellent fish and chip shop and good restaurants. It was perfect for our stay.

A wonderful holiday home

Simply breathtaking that’s how I would describe when you walk to the top floor and take in the beautiful open plan living kitchen dining room with spectacular views front and back, and if you love watching air shows it’s like you’ve got your own show every day, beach and shops all close by, loved watching the jets, sitting on the balcony in the evening, lovely home and brilliant lay out, loved all the butterflies landing in the back garden and lovely pear trees and palm tree, cannot fault the home.

Great house, great holiday

We were 2 families holidaying together. The house has great facilities to cater for families or group. The layout makes it very sociable and also light and airy with great views. We really liked the location, as it meant we had easy access to the village amenities as well as the beaches, which are just stunning. We were helped by an amazing Week of sunshine, but even if it hadn’t been beach weather all week, there were walks and bike rides from the doorstep! We had a great time!
