Which I may sometimes find annoying (it is David's phone number that is down in the contact details) So whatever problems that may arise, feel free to contact us. Across the road from Coal d' Vine Cottage is a service station. PK's Olde General Store. You can get your petrol from there (although it can be expensive at times) it also has a mini grocery section. It has a restaurant where you can dine in, or get take away 7 days a week. Very handy if you want to grab something to eat and you don't feel like cooking. Or if you feel like eating some junk food, all you need to do is run across the road (make sure you look both ways first🙂�)

It is great location in Cessnock and gateway to Vineyards. Convenience of shops in town with convenience store across the road. 10 minutes from the Pokolbin and Lovedale Vineyards and Hunter Valley Gardens.

Excellent property

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and a good size for us. Great outdoor area and plenty of room for the kids to run around in the back yard. We would definitely stay here again.

The Cottage is a great size for larger groups, there is also plenty of space for parking in the driveway or backyard. It is convenient for tradies to stay with off street parking for their work Utes. When you get back after a long day working, you can relax outside on the large back verandah. It is only around a 2 hour drive from Sydney. So if you are working in, or near Cessnock, it is a great place to stay. It can be your home away from home for the weekdays, then you can go back to your families on the weekend. It is much more comfortable than staying in a motel.

The matter being referred to was a bath tap not functioning. Brett phoned me and I got the plumber to repair within 2 hours. We appreciate when guests ring during their stay so that we can fix anything necessary. If guests don't give us that feedback until after stay we then make things better for next guest. Customer Service and fixing problems is our priority.

Great base for a group of guys or girls, family or friends to have a golf weekend. Cessnock is blessed with a number of golf courses including: Cypress Lakes, The Vintage and Hunter Valley Golf and Country Club. All high quality golf courses.

A good and convenient cottage

The cottage was as described, with all the facilities we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, beds and bedding were good, and overall a comfortable place to stay for a large group.

There is plenty of space to spread out, with a large lounge room and 3 bedrooms. Outside there is plenty of space for the kids (young and old) to run around. We used to live there with our 3 sons. Our boys used to to love playing outside. With the backyard being fully fenced in, I knew our sons were safe. Just like your family will be safe.

A great way of seeing the Hunter Valley is by helicopter. You can book flights and get a "birds eye" view of the whole area. You can see the town of Cessnock, several golf courses and several Vineyards.

Very cosy and homely

The cottage is in an excellent location for our visit. It was very roomy for a family of four, with plenty of space. It was very clean and comfortable. The only issue with the cottage, sleeping in the front rooms, the traffic is very loud from 4am onwards.

Thanks Cath for feedback. Yes located on main road but mainly an issue on weekdays and not weekends when folk go to work. Positive is location to drive to vineyards along Wine Country Drive.

Thanks Wes for review of our Aussie Chillout at Coal d' Vine Cottage - Cessnock NSW. We are aware of the traffic noise is holding us back. We are going down there in November 2022 to work with a local company to put sound proof glassing on front two bedroom windows facing the road. Hopefully after these works are completed it will be a great sleep. We do have another property in Cessnock in a peaceful neighbourhood. This is Coal d' Vine VIEW.

Two night stay

Overall a nice stay, the property is kept clean and tidy however the furnishings vary from the listed photos. The traffic noise is also loud from the main road throughout the night

Great central location to explore area from. Wonderful entertainment area to enjoy. We had coffee every morning outside and listened to birds in trees while planning our day. Once inside our disabled daughter was able to manoeuvre around independently. Owners were great with communication and house was set up with folders to give local area guidance. Very clean and functional house with a fenced yard that our companion dog enjoyed exploring

The house has a fully fenced in back yard, dogs are very welcome to come on holidays with you. There is also a seperate fenced in area to the side of the house. Your pets are part of your family, so it is nice to be able to take them on holidays with you.

We stayed in the Coal d'Vine Cottage for 3 nights with 6 Children and 2 adults while visiting my sister who has recently moved to Cessnock. Upon arrival we walked into a beautifully warm cottage that was neat and well suited to our needs. The kitchen was well apointed which is really healpful with 6 children. The only negative to the place is it is on a busy road but we would definately use this cottage again when visiting my sister.

There is plenty of space for larger groups. Having the fully fenced in backyard is handy for kids and dogs. Lots of space for kids to run around outside. There is also a park around the corner from the Cottage. No roads to cross to get to it. It has a fenced in play area, there is also a toilet there.

The place was fine for a couple of nights

Comfy beds, good air con, enough space. The kids liked the bunk beds. Doesn’t look that much like the photos, things aren’t as bright and clean and furniture has been moved and changed since they were taken. It’s missing a few basics that we had to get like a dish brush, laundry liquid, pegs, but has enough kitchen thjngs and over all was fine for a short stay.

Disappointing

Bed linen, pillows, duvet and towels were of a very poor standard....disappointing considering the high two person tariff for one night. No instructions for using the TV and no connection cord for the DVD player....finally sorted after contacting owner. On the positive side, the house was warm and clean with a workable kitchen and close to shops and restaurants. Bathroom was functional with bath and ample hotwater. Laundry lacked a dryer which precluded us from doing a much needed clothes wash. Although this is an old home on a busy road, much more could have been done in presenting this property to improve the guest's comfort and overall experience and encourage repeat business.

Thanks Mark for review of our Aussie Chillout at Coal d' Vine Cottage - Cessnock NSW. For affordability the house is more suitable to families or group of friends. We welcome couples as well. Normally a minimum of two nights. But if there are orphan single nights then we do increase price merely so that we can pay the cleaner. We will be travelling down from the Gold Coast and staying there in November 2022. We will take stock of the Manchester and renew as necessary. We don't want clothes dryer due to electricity cost and OH&S with guests leaving on as potential fire risk if left unattended. There is back patio for drying in bad weather. We take on board feedback as to where we can improve. Thanks Mark.
