This quirky house has a great location (really cannot get much better) and comfortable mattresses. Those two details go a long way in my book, but there were some less than stellar details you may want to consider when booking this property:
First, communication with the property manager was poor. She would respond to texts, but nothing was ever done about the two issues we reported.
You cannot shower in the backhouse without setting off the fire alarm, which is unreachable due to the high ceilings, so you are stuck listening to it blare for ~30 minutes. We called the property manager about it, never heard back.
The hot tub is not well-maintained. The water turned green by Day 3 and the temperature could not be controlled and stayed at ~96-99 degrees the entire visit. We contacted the property manager, we never heard back.
The curtains don't actually cover the huge sliding doors. Anyone could walk into the backyard and peer at you while you are sleeping. We had to hang up towels to try and get a bit of privacy.
The sliding doors are dangerous - they are incredibly heavy (my mother couldn't even open them) and will slide shut on their own once opened - scary.
The lighting is poor and there is not enough seating in the living area to gather comfortably, strange given the listed house capacity.
In summary, I would consider somewhere else if you have young children (0-12) with you, but this place is fine for adults if you are OK with the issues above.
