Perfect Property!

There is nothing to not love about this home. The location is perfect for going to the beach, shopping and dining. The house has everything you need and it very comfortable.

Cute, comfy house in a great location!

We loved the having morning coffee on the front lanai, walking to the beach, and running on the path along the ocean. Comfy house with AC. Easy walking to beaches and 2nd St. Nice neighbors too. Would have liked to have access to a washer and dryer for the week, but otherwise a fantastic place. Highly recommend for adult groups!

Beach getaway without hassles

This sweet little house was a perfect escape from the inland heat and crowds. I grew up in the area and it brought back the best memories of carefree summer days on the beach. The house is historically old but clean, updated, and very well maintained. Beds comfortable. Kitchen stocked with staples. Convenient location. Only challenge was parking, especially on street-cleaning days. Best part was the Bay and Ocean beaches were within a couple blocks and not at all crowded.

Beautiful stay and beautiful property. Thoroughly enjoyable. Walk to dining and beach. Bruce and Mary, our hosts, were fantastic!

Beautiful place.....

One thing that confounded me was that, although VRBO clearly stated when my payment balance would be due, the owner asked for it a week early. I sent it anyway. Meanwhile, the site stated that the check in instructions would be visible that same day.... They weren't. It simply said they would be sent the day before checkin. They weren't I reached out to the owner who responded they would be sent to me the day before checkin. They weren't; instead I was told they would be sent the day of checkin. They weren't. So there we were, at the door, with no way to get it. VRBO suggested I call the owner. Thankfully he was available and gave me the instructions over the phone. NONE of which was ideal. Only other very minor concern was that the indicated hairdryer could not be found. Owner was able to direct me so that we found one of the two he said was available. But, again, the place is wonderful. And the owner was not a problem, I just wish I hadn't had whatever experiences made him so "cautious" and that he has more positive experiences with people enjoying this great space.

Belmont Shore Stay

Wonderful location - walk one direction to the ocean and the opposite way a few blocks to fun restaurants and shops. House was great for two couples and neighborhood very friendly. Would stay again and again.

Perfect Long Beach Beach House

Great place for older couples to stay - close to beach, 2nd St and not far from other local attractions. House is charming and comfortable and owner Bruce was very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!

We recommend that you stay elsewhere

First the positive. The house is attractive and clean. The beds are comfortable. It is near the beach. The negative: 1. parking is very difficult. The only time you can get parking on the same street is during the week during the day. However if you go out for dinner or do anything else, when you come home you’ll have to search for a parking space and normally have to park a minimum of 1 to 2 blocks away. The listing is quite inaccurate about the difficulty of parking. 2. the owner is very difficult to get in touch with. He was nice the one time we were able to get him to return a phone call but after that he totally ignored all our questions. I had to call VRBO and ask them if they could get in touch with him so that he would answer our questions. His wife was better. 3. We are homeowners ourselves and have stayed in many homes when we travel. We take excellent care of the homes we stay in. The morning we left, the toilet flushed but it was a little sluggish. The water was clean in the toilet but my husband thought as a courtesy, we should call the owner and let him know in case it needed to be plunged. We called his wife who thanked us and told us to have a nice trip. About a week ago we received a notice from the owner asking for an additional amount of money for a “clogged toilet”. We called VRBO and disputed the additional charge. This property manager has a lot of nerve. We paid a lot of money to rent this house and we bought all of the insurances that VRBO offered. We would like to be paid for every time we had to plunge a toilet. His unresponsiveness to our questions was a red flag that we should have picked up on. We will know better and look for these kinds of signs in future rentals.

Great time was had by all

We stayed here with a couple of our kids (28 yr old) and had a fantastic time. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would suggest is a sun umbrella for the sitting area out front, it was a little too hot without any shade.

GREAT HOUSE

Great location walked to the main street for food or shopping. Bedrooms 2 of them were great enough room between them for privacy. Kitchen was tops even though we did not do any cooking. Everything was just GREAT that is all I can say Barb

Belmont shore treasure

I stayed for the month of May and loved this home. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, functional kitchen with everything I needed. Close to 2nd street and beaches. Exactly as advertised. Lovely front sitting area for coffee and sunset. Parking was easier than expected. Will definitely choose this again when in Long Beach.

Quiet Home Near Beach, Shopping and Great Dining!

We stayed at this adorable vacation rental for three nights. The street was very quiet and just two blocks away from a fantastic beach. The beach has a pedestrian walkway as well as a separate bikeway--we enjoyed it so much! The house is situated on a quiet street in a residential area and was impeccably clean. It had all the comforts of home and also would be perfect for a longer stay. In addition the rental is also only two blocks from fantastic morning coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner. We ate at a couple of restaurants on 2nd Avenue and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to everything. This is really an ideal location! In addition to the close proximity of nearby dining, beach access and shopping, Shoreline Park with the aquarium is only a 15 minute car ride. We went to numerous places using Uber/Lyft and it was a seamless experience. The host was great to deal with. Bruce was very easy to contact and he responded to our questions within a short amount of time. We recommend this vacation rental and would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic location and beautiful and well stocked house

Wonderful house in a great location with decent parking. Responsive owners and a few unique features that were greatly appreciated including weekend delivery of the New York Times. Thank you, Bruce, I am addicted to the NYT's. The walk from the house to the beach path and Belmont Shore pier - which I did every morning - was awesome. Not to mention the access to 2nd Street shopping and restaurants. Additionally, the house was remarkably well stocked compared to other houses I have stayed at. My only quibble is you might want to get a new air mattress since the current mattress has a slow leak.

Note: Just getting to review submittal now, though stayed April 2017.. Mary and Bruce's place was a fantastic stay. Perfect location, wonderful amenities, and deco was stylish, warm and welcoming. The house was super clean, beds very comfortable. The neighborhood so close to the water, and really awesome area. Sometimes parking was interesting, but always found a spot nearby to park. Our family stayed there when visiting relatives in the area. The visit ended up being very difficult on our family, and we needed more time. Mary worked with us at each stage sending thoughtful texts and checking in here and there. Couldn't have asked for a better situation and comforting place to stay.

A lovely home in a great location

We had a wonderful stay at Casita de las Brisas. It is conveniently located for an easy walk to the beautiful Bay and the fun restaurants and shops on Second Street. Once you arrive, you don't really need your car, which is a rare treat in Southern California. The house has a warm and welcoming feeling and we appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. We look forward to returning again!

Great location in Belmont Shore

This home has a wonderful location. It also has a lovely front patio to relax. We checked in on a Tuesday night late and were given instructions about the keys location. You are only given 1 key, so when my party was not altogether, we had to make sure to coordinate. We were given 5 bath towels for our 12 night stay for our party of 3. We were told we would have cleaning service on the Friday after we checked in, just 2 days later. I didn't want the service because once we were settled we didn't want the disruption. So, I had the cleaning lady wash the towels(apparently there is a washer and dryer in the garage which is not accessible to the guests). I am fine with no washer/dryer but we needed just a few more sets of clean towels. We ended up using those original towels through the end of the trip. I wondered why they didn't have the cleaning service later in our stay. The house was tidy except the shower in the second bath. It didn't look to have been cleaned prior to our arrival and included someone's bathing products. We did not ask the cleaning lady to clean it when she came because we were settled in and wanted her to get going as soon as possible-still interrupted our late morn/early afternoon. The refrigerator/freezer was full of food, just odd as I've stayed in many vacation rentals and never experienced that before.

The property is warm and welcoming, it couldn't have been better.

We had the best 4 day getaway, the house was perfect, clean and had everything we needed. The owners Bruce and Mary were very helpful with any questions. The area is amazing, we walked to get coffee every morning on 2nd street and then walked to the beach. In the evenings we walked to 2nd street for great shopping and dinner. The beach, the shops, restaurants and everything you need is within walking distance, you don't have to move the car once you arrive!

A perfect location for a Belmont Shore experience

Loved the stay. This Spanish beauty is in the heart of Belmont Shore. Close to all the action of 2nd Street; shopping, restaurants, bars, everything. Will try to stay here for all my Long Beach visits. I think my favorite part was hanging out on the front patio.
