Great location, comfortable and quiet

A very comfortable stay, clean, with everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked with pans etc, laundry has washer and drier and beds are very comfortable. Excellent location also, short walk to town. Pet friendly too!

Great location

We had a great time in Bright. Staying so close to the river and shops made it easy to walk everywhere and handy bringing then dog.

Peaceful get away

Overall our stay was great! However there were a few minor inconvience's. The hot water pressure is extremely lacking, which is disappointing as the spa bath looked highly appealing, but the lack of hot water pressure made it basically unusable. The bed also was a bit on the smaller side and not too comfortable. The yard while a great size, is also not particularly secure for dogs (although it wasn't really an issue as we just supervised our dog and she didn't try to get out). As mentioned though, these were minor issues, the property is a brilliant size (you could easily stay there with two couples) and the woodfire and split system make it wonderfully cosy! It's so peaceful stepping outside and listening to the river and Birdlife. The location is great (so central to everything). We'll certainly be back to Bright!

Very disappointing!! Not worth the money

• Poor water pressure - shower and kitchen • Found dead cockroaches • Dirty fry pans and utensils • Minimal bed linen (very cold at night) • Found used socks and hair scrunchie Please note potential renters: The policy states: “You will have the entire place to yourselves however bedroom access is determined by guest numbers. 1-2 guests offers 1 bedroom, 3-4 guests offers 2 bedrooms, 5-6 guests offers 3 bedrooms. Extra bedrooms will be closed off and can only be made available for an additional fee.” The above wording caught us out. We thought we paid for three bedrooms but was told that we need to pay an extra $120 if we wanted the third room—otherwise, the room will be locked. Strangely, none of the bedrooms had locks!!

Great house and a great location

Lovely house in the perfect location. Close to centre of town and many walking / cycling tracks. Property was spotless clean and even better than described and the photos showed. Lots of room house could happily accommodate 3 couples. Would happily say here any time thank you to the team at alpine valley getaways!

Happy and Bright!

To find accommodation - or a lovely home - so central to everything in Bright’s township is always a bonus. The home was exactly what we were seeking, especially being so dog friendly and accommodating. We all have had a fantastic week away.

Proximity to the river was perfect

You only need to walk a short stroll to the pedestrian bridge over the Ovens and you are in town. From walking to the top end of town or simply to the brewery the location was really good.

Amazing Bright!

Great property to stay, very central to all shops and best of all the Brewery. Able to have our loving pooches with us to go and play in the snow and house had all necessary things for our comfortable stay. Very friendly trades-person who helped rectify the air conditioning systems to keep us cosy and warm for our stay, thank you Emma for organising this. House had so much room and allowed for romance, peace and tranquillity. So much to do, so little time and have decided to come back one day:)

Great location, pleasant picturesque stroll into town, comfy home.

Good property, comfortable, let down by smaller housekeeping issues, we had to replace some lightbulbs and were about to use bbq for first time and found there was no gas at all. Had to drive around at night to find supplier. Spoke to Simon who said they would refund cost of gas ($34) but even though I supplied Alpine Valley Getaways with my bank details well over a week ago, have still not received refund.

Good times. Delivered on everything promised plus a whole lot of extra attention to detail.

Excellent digs, lovely house and surrounds. The kitchen was stocked with almost everything you'd need too for cooking, which was a nice surprise, as was the fresh towels and bathroom accoutrements. It was excellent for the dog too, he had a large area to stay in in the back, although that was also the only downside for us - we left the dog outside when we left the house as per the owners request, but it meant we didn't stay out too long and curtailed a few activities so as not to leave the dog alone. Completely understand the owner's worry that even well behaved dogs can chew things, but I wouldn't have minded paying an extra pet bond or something, just to be able to leave him inside. I swear I'm not being precious, my dog is just too stupid to go in the dog house when it rains and I didn't want him stuck outside getting wet. ANYWAY - IN SUMMARY, this was a lovely and spacious property, it'd even be good for 3 couples what with the extra bathroom, toilet and shower etc. Fully climate controlled inside too, and decorated very tastefully, feels like you're staying in a home.

Made me feel at home

Lovely home that has lots of room. Great for a family or friend get aways. All kitchenware, appliances, linen supplied. This place made me and my wife comfortable to stay for a weekly holiday It was great for a snow trip as all resorts 1 hour away also Mt buffalo. Bright main street, shops, pubs, restaurants within a small 3min walking distance. My dogs loved the big yard but I do recommended bring a tarp or some sort of shelter for your dog if you decide to put them in the pen in case it rains.

Comfortable home and perfect for kids

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home and Bright. We were delighted to find kids toys and books, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking and more. The house was warm once the log fire was burning and it was a perfect location - a short walking distance to the town centre but removed from traffic and noise.

Lovely Autumn break

We were in need of a relaxing 5 day break. The house had everything we could have wanted and it was perfect for the dog. The location is superb. Nice and quiet but a two minute walk across the footbridge for The brewery, shops and restaurants. Just a short walk back after dinner. We will be back . No wifi made it more relaxing.

Great Location so close to town

We enjoyed staying at Bright Country Home so close to town meant we could walk to everything anytime however we did also enjoy trip to Mt Buffalo, Mt Beauty and Yackandandah which are not to be missed if up that way

We had a great week at bright country house with a 5 month old and 2.5 year old. The house was spacious and well equipped for a family. It is a five min walk to splash park and brewery. We will be back!!

Top Location, Dog Friendly

We had a great stay at Bright Country Home, 6 adults, so 3 queen rooms were perfect. The kitchen and living/dining area is just great for family time, we played games, cooked meals and of course ate!! We did have a dog with us and the fenced off area at the rear of the property was perfect. Also a fenced and gated property so when we were home she could run about outside quite safely. Location was awesome, just across the river to the town centre, a short walk to the Canyon Walk. The house was great, clean and up to date, beds, linen etc all in very good condition.
