A beautiful location.

This was a very lovely house, comfortable, clean and well kept. The location amongst the trees is delightful. Very quiet and relaxing. Our only negative was the shower head - two of us found it quite painful (literally) to stand under. Everything else was wonderful.

Fantastic Place to stay for North West Tasmania

Just a great experience from start to finish. Quality furniture, lots of different sitting areas,big smart bathroom, ambient outside area and furniture. BBQ excellent and clean. Great location for the beach and other areas in this undiscovered area of Tasmania. Loved the wh ole place and communication etc

Lovely beach location

Tarkine Gates is a lovely home, beautifully appointed and situated at Sisters Beach. We would have loved to have stayed longer! The kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable and great having laundry facilities. There was also thought into providing games for kids and body boards for surfing. This was a wonderful location for exploring the Tarkine and the Nut at Stanley.

Nice family visit

We're a family with 6 person living in Holland. Father, mother and 4 kid's who are 24, 22, 21 and 20 years old. We've visited a brother who lives in Australia. A very nice stay also because of the stay in tarkine gates. Thanks a lot for the experience.

Amazing property!

My family and I absolutely love staying here! We've been coming for the past 6 years and always have an amazing time. The creek and beach are an easy 5 minute walk away, there are new skateboard/bike ramps, a basketball area and the new owners at the Little Sisters General Store are lovely and friendly. My husband got his coffee there everyday! We love that the property is surrounded by trees - it's so peaceful. Thanks for having us again and we can't wait to come back :)

Beautiful beautiful sisters beach

Really I'd prefer not to tell you how great this place is so it stays the gem it is. The house has everything, the kitchen is great (even a GF toaster+++) sunny deck, banksia paradise, views to sisters hills, access to walking, the "shop" (a cafe essentially but they have bread n milk). The stars are amazing and the ocean glitters. Please don't come here : )))

Family Holiday

Well- equipped and very clean. fenced yard was important for small children. comfy beds and spacious living area. Steps to front door may need slight repairing and railing. very steep driveway not suitable for boat/trailer etc, but easy to park and turn for cars once at the house.

Fantastic stay yet again!

My family and I have been coming to this property for many years and thoroughly enjoyed our stay again! The property is a short walk to the beach and neat and tidy on the inside. Absolutely love the privacy and elevation of the house among the trees, you can barely see any other houses and we love this. When we had a small issue this was resolved quickly by the property manager which we appreciated. There is room for minor improvements on the outside: Suggestion to replace BBQ and outdoor picnic table on the deck would be much appreciated. We look forward to coming back in the future!

House itself was beautiful. Difficult to find from roadside. Not very well signposted. Even the house number was a little way down the driveway and not easily visible. Need to see the house number from road as you can't see the house until you get to the end of the driveway. Otherwise a neat, clean property.

Relaxing and secluded

Really great start to our Tasmanian break. Sister’s Beach is beautiful and walking in the adjacent Rocky Cape National Park was stunning. Might have been nice to have warning about the driveway! Required some juggling of the bikes on the bike carrier so that the tow bar and the bikes themselves didn’t hit the tarmac.

Inside / outside mixed review

We stayed 2 nights and had a mixed experience. The inside of the house was clean, comfortable and spacious with modern appliances. However the yard is overgrown, with low visibility in the driveway and there were uncleared branches blocking the car park when we arrived. The worst part was the uncleaned, gross BBQ (mouldy and animal droppings). It took us an hour of cleaning to use it. The response from the host was delayed and disappointing. Sisters beach is a quiet getaway but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Beautiful long weekend in Sisters

We loved staying at this relaxing, clean and thoughtfully set up home. There was space for the kids to enjoy, a lovely functional kitchen, and the location close to the beach but nestled in the trees waa perfect. We’ll be back!
