Overall the property was spacious, clean and very well appointed. There were ample amenities and all of the little touches were done to perfection. This is a very beautiful B&B that we can highly recommend for a short or long term stay in the lovely Adelaide Hills. The overall location is also a treat with the Barossa Valley close by, the Adelaide Hills right at your doorstep and Mannun and Murray Bridge also not far away. All in all, a perfect property to relax and unwind for a few days. We cant speak highly enough of it. David & Sue. xxx

Peaceful

This property is in a beautiful quiet location, the bed was very comfortable with good quality linen, nicely decorated and the spa was amazing. Super clean too.

A bucolic locale, with a very nicely appointed cottage. Very clean, with everything you would need. NOTE: there is no WiFi and phone signal is not great, so if you feel you must be online 24/7 then this might not be for you. But if you want to escape the digital grind, and wake up to Australian birds and kangaroos in your yard, then Do yourself a favor and stay here. The drive to Angaston and Tanunda is 20 minutes. Springton general store is 5 minutes away.

A peaceful and private cosy bed and breakfast, quickly warmed by the fire and split system air conditioner. Comfortably appointed and well located in the quiet surrounds. Perfect for a restful couples time away.

A stunning retreat

Looking for a quiet retreat to spend our anniversary weekend we could not have chosen better. This beautifully renovated stone cottage, once stables, has just what you need. Bed, bath, kitchen and a super relaxed feel. Surrounded by farming, birds, Roos and cows. Couldn’t have been better, thanks Renate.

Lovely property

We stayed at The Stables at 1860 Wine Country Cottages for our stay in the Barossa. Although the property is not located in the heart of the Barossa it was close to the Mount Pleasant vineyards and some of the more boutique wineries - which is lovely. The property was clean and comfortable. There was a hiccup on the day we left as a huge storm hit the region and the power was out. The owners were very apologetic. Beautiful fresh bread, butter, and condiments are provided for breakfast. The property is located off a dirt road but it is very driveable and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

Beautiful spot, first class get away

We spent two nights at the Stable with my partner. The place was clean and appliances were almost new, everything was thought of with precise attention to details. First class highly recommended.

The Stables - beautiful place

Had a lovely stay at The Stables. A pretty cottage in the beautiful Eden Valley. Everything you need there. Loved the wood fire. Enjoyed visiting the surrounding countryside.

Peace and tranquillity

A beautiful location for a romantic weekend of log fires, farmers markets, cycling and overall general recharging. I particularly loved the early morning on the deck listening to the birds and sitting there again at night under the heater watching the stars. Whilst there are other cottages on the property The Stables feels private and tucked away with a lovely deck looking out over the fields and trees.

Fantastic cottage

We had a great stay at this property. The cottage was really well equipped with everything you need to cook and it was great to have tea, coffee, milk and fresh bread. It’s important to know that the Barossa vineyards are a good 30 mins drive away - that didn’t worry us. Great space for a couple wanting to explore the region.

Pretty country cottage

This place is a very cute, very comfortable place to stay. They seem like they are newly renovated and have everything you need. The only downside was that we visited on a Tuesday and Wednesday when alot of wineries in the area, and the wood fired pizza place across the road, were closed. There seems to be alot of Thursday to Monday openings at the moment. Having said that, cellar doors were mostly open and there was plenty of other delightful food options in nearby Mount Pleasant or Tanunda. We had a overly stay.

We enjoyed the position and the property i feel it would help if the sofa was more comfortable and the breakfast part of bed & breakfast was more due to the additional charge of $40 ( not really adequate for the additional charge for two people for two nights. we stayed for 4 nights and was given a 10lt of water for our stay again a bit light on for 4 nights. the noises in the roof need to be dealt with (possum ?) woke me up on every night. if you want internet then it is difficult to connect while in the cottage. The cottage was clean modern but i felt for the money it had a few things it could have improved on inc a screen door for when you want a breeze throughout the cottage.

Stunning location

My partner and I absolutely loved this cottage. we had such a good weekend away. We had some beautiful wood oven pizza from across the road and drank too much wine. the cottage was perfect. so perfect that my partner proposed on the balcony area. We had a great time and will definately be back.

Little piece of paradise

A beautiful, tranquil and relaxing property, we had a wonderful time. The facilities are perfect, the hosts are lovely and we would absolutely recommend to others. Looking forward to staying again in the future.
