スターフィッシュには、ストレスフリーのビーチホリデーに必要なものすべてがあります。

冬はハーウィイベイへの年間移住時に雄大なザトウクジラを襲う。 展望台への短い車で、5月から8月には北に向かいます。 8月から11月にかけて、彼らは南極の海の夏の家に戻ります。 他のクジラはノース・ストラドブローク島の澄んだ水を頻繁に出すことができます。

The house was amazing, clean, has all the amenities you could possibly need including a washing machine which made life easy with a 8 month old puppy who covered everyone in sand

Fabulous dog friendly accommodation, new sundeck a great addition. Whales watching at Point Lookout our favourite place to visit. Thanks, enjoyed our weekend stay once again.

We have stayed her 5 times now and it is just perfect for us. Hubby and myself and our pup. The cottage has a great little deck and is generally well kitted out. Carolyn and Mal are fantastic and always helpful. Straddie is so relaxing

Starfish on Straddie is a beautiful, comfortable holiday home, just the right size for a family with two adults and two young children. The kids loved all the board games and DVD's. Carolyn and Mal are wonderful hosts and they are great with communication. We love that the property is pet-friendly and it is perfect for small dogs. The only recommendation we can give is that the fence at the back be extended above the rock wall so that medium dogs such as our 15kg boy won't be able to jump up and escape. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely visit Starfish on Straddie again!

Starfish on straddie

Great location can even see a glimpse of the ocean from the front deck. Bit going on in the front yard with old machines and some gardening work but was pre warned and really wasn't that big of a deal. Would definitely come again.

Great stay

Fantastic little cottage. Perfect for the two of us. Comfortable bed and was fitted with all the amenities we needed. Loved the deck, where you could see a smitten of the water. Good location. Will stay again!

We had a nice stay at Starfish. It was a peaceful location and the bed was comfortable. Lack of Wi-fi was a little inconvenient but my fault for not checking availability of this first. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation for family with toddlers as they would probably fall off the patio but there’s heaps of games and DVD’s to help keep older kids entertained when not at the beach etc

Been a Straddie local resident since 1984, after marrying Mal who grew up here. We've raised 5 children who all went to the local school, played in the local footy team (except our daughter!), spent days out fishing with Mal, many hours at the beach or lakes and brought up on fresh fish, sunshine and fresh air, mostly all while being bare foot (shoes weren't a compulsory part of the uniform at the local school until recently - true story!)

We bought this property early 1984, being young and free, and after paying a mortgage on a house in a place we didn't want to be living (as it wasn't near the water) we made a choice of one of these 2 - buy a block of land at Straddie, or travel around Australia. We bit the bullet and bought our little piece of paradise, worked our butts off, started a family 3 years later, and we kept working our butts off, in the fishing industry, and tourism industry.
We built our small cabin (now called 'Starfish' - which is a reference to our name - Starkey - and that we are the fishing industry) and lived in it for about 5 years while we saved and built our current home, which is on the same block of land.
Now we offer our cabin for holiday rental for those wishing to enjoy the simple things in life, away from the busy main part of Point Lookout, but close enough to be there in 5 minutes

We have made the space in Starfish simple and basic - It has no airs and graces, but everything you need for comfort and practicality. The mattresses are good quality, and the reverse cycle air conditioner works very well for instance.
Behind Starfish is natural bushland, so wildlife is often seen on the footpaths or crossing the road (kangaroos, echidnas, and even koalas when they are on the move)
