Lovely home

Some friends and I had a lovely, relaxing time at this home and enjoyed the beautiful gardens and comfortable beds. Great spot to stay for our visit to the Healesville area.

Great House, Beautiful views

Very happy with the service and the property. 8 adults and had plenty of room for everyone. We had a great time at this property it was well presented, clean and everything we needed.

Relaxing Location

Mon Desir is a hidden gem in the Yarra Valley with short drive to Healesville and 15 minutes or less to anywhere else in the valley. House has everything you need, just bring food, clothes, toiletries and yourself.

Charming place

The solidity of this lovely house, its quietness and its beautiful setting were incredibly appealing. I’m not into fancy furnishings and showy houses, but I am a sucker for a fabulous view. Mon Desir won my heart by being beautifully designed, clean, tastefully furnished, full of character and having a wonderful view of neighbouring foothills/small mountains. I would love to know if they have names. There is a balcony to the bedrooms on the first floor with an even better view than below. I’d love to come back! I must have seen twenty-seven kangaroos in a short ten minute stroll down the street, and king parrots every day in the garden.

Plenty of room to move

With 8 friends getting together for a weekend together, it was perfect. Easy catering with a great BBQ outside and a good backyard for some games. Highly recommend.

Lovely home in a stunning location

Lovely, comfortable home with enough space for our group of 6 adults to enjoy. The backyard is more stunning than the pictures can show and we had six parrots constantly coming to the yard to be fed. House is quiet despite having houses either side and the beds comfy. Would stay again!

Such a lovely location

We had a wonderful, restful long weekend at Chum Creek. The location was quiet with spectacular views. The house had everything you could need and was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Warm and homely with a great view

It was a good surprise when we turned up at the property after negotiating the road directions out of town. Beautiful setting looking out at the hills. Very quiet with only the birds in the morning and kangaroos across the road feeding. As the weather was awful we hibernated, relaxing in the comfortable lounge with the fire going and a wine or two! The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. Everything you could want in the kitchen. A great property and would highly recommend.

Beautiful

Mon Desir was the perfect getaway. Perfect location only minutes from everything! Absolutely beautiful gardens. There was 8 of us girls and each and everyone loved the place and would all return in a heartbeat. Everything was perfect.

A perfect place

What a perfect place to stay. Everything was as the description described. In fact it was better. The peace and quiet took a bit of getting used to. Its location just outside Healesville was ideal. Not much traffic. Kangaroos, rabbits,kookaburras and parrots - excellent. Perfect outdoor area to sit and enjoy everything. Inside perfectly clean and tidy. Getting outside from the dining room needs a bit of maintenance. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. In fact if I ever return to the area this is where i want to stay

Lovely stay

The house was lovely to stay in. Only thing I would say to be great for families is to have a DVD player to one of the tvs. And the main lounge room tv is quite small and awkward position for everyone in lounge room.

Great Retreat

This was just the right place for the family to be able to spend quality time together. The facilities were great, especially the back yard. Close enough to Healesville yet far enough out to be quiet & relaxing. Even the visiting kangaroos across the road helped make this a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend Mon Desir & consider returning for another visit.

Great venue

Stayed over long weekend. Place clean and tidy - well presented. Great views. Everything worked as expected. Very comfortable and peaceful. Used all bedrooms. Will rebook again. Only 5 min from town. Just what we like.
