Top notch apartment

Had a great stay in this very well equipped unit which had everything you'd need, all those little things you sometimes find are skimped on and you spend a fortune topping up, but everything was there, condiments, cooking oil (may have been left by last residents of course) tea coffee, paper towels toilet rolls, washing liquids and sprays, dishwasher tablets, a good selection of beach stuff like chairs and boogie boards (2x) a cooler box. very modern washer dryer which i used several times and meant minimal packing. It was was very clean with zero insects over my near 3 week stay. AIr con in lounge and bedroom. Safe in bedroom closet. Theres a convertible sofa bed in the lounge but i didnt use that. I highly recommend this unit.

Nice condo, good location, easy stay

It was perfect for what I needed, close location RJ the rest of my group; washer/dryer, beech towels, chairs, easy walk to the Bach or to the general store, nice running path along the street.

Great experience...all the necessities and then some. Examples :Beach chairs , boogie boards, Tommy Bahama umbrella, roll up beach pad. Kitchen Accesories were plentiful, i.e . Toaster, coffee pot WITH extra filters, pots & pans, plenty of paper towels, paper napkins ,pots & pans, plentiful glasses, plates, bowls, glasses, plastic cups (for the pool). Unit also had EXTRA rolls of toilet paper, and cleaning equipment. Two swimming pools, nice Lanai/ patio chairs. Close to beach (like 250 yards away. Great Condo in a great spot

Great condo with all the amenities in a nice complex across from the beach. Easy access from the unit to the pool and parking, well equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Host is great with communication and information sharing. Super easy to find and check in to unit. Host was very quick to respond to all inquiries and easy to arrange details with. Overall a great stay in a great unit.

Maui Kamaole K103

Maui Kamaole is a beautifully landscaped, manicured and maintained property on the hill in South Kihei. This unit is conveniently located close to the upper pool. The unit is clean, well kept and well supplied with consumables. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Having two bathrooms in a one room unit is a very nice amenity. The owner was very engaged to ensure all our needs were met. The entire unit is dated, with the living room wicker sofa worn out, dirty and uncomfortable. The wi-fi functioned well as did the basic cable service. The kitchen was well equipped and a pleasure to work in. The refrigerator has an ice-maker. The washer and dryer worked well, but the washer is making noises indicating its end is near. The unit was quiet and peaceful with the exception of some pounding from upstairs on several occasions (which we have experienced at every lower-level Maui Kamaole unit in which we stayed over the years). The bed was a pretty stiff queen and the pillow options were less than ideal which resulted in some unexpected neck and back pain each morning, but that may be due to our age and personal preferences. It has two small wall A/C units which functioned well but, due to their locations at ground level, they blew directly on you if sitting on the sofa or when in the bed and they made their usual noise (constantly turning on and off), and they are very close by. There were lots of towels, two Bogie boards and a cooler, but it could use an additional beach chair or two and a newer umbrella. In spite of the suggestions for improvement noted, we would gladly stay again for this unit easily met all our needs and desires, ensuring our stay was fun and restful.

Great place with everything you need, and close to great beaches!

The property was exactly as portrayed and had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. The property owner was so nice, and very easy to communicate with. The beaches across the street were great and so easy to walk to. I would love to stay here again!

Beautiful Condo

21 family members traveled to Maui and of the 6 condo units rented, ours was BY FAR the cleanest, most luxurious and most beautifully appointed of them all. Nothing was overlooked by the owner to guarantee a wonderful stay while in Maui. We ♥️ It! Maui no ka oi!

Lovely Condo in Kihei

This condo was very clean and neat and was great for my husband and I to stay in. It has all the amenities we needed and Susan was a great host. She was proactive with timely communication and was even able to accommodate an early check in which was very helpful. The facility is nice and the upper pool was nice spot for reading or gatherings. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk and it is a nice healthy 15-40 min walk to a number of restaurants

As Promised!

The property was great! Clean and just steps away from the pool and hot tub. The communication with managment was wonderful and timely. The grounds crew and everyone we ran into were pleasant and polite. The location to Wailea and Kihei was excellent. You can't go wrong staying here - it was an excellent location for us. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach and "downtown" areas but we drove everywhere we went without problem. Thank you for a property as promised.

Clean and well-equipped condo

Well equipped and clean condo with plenty of amenities. Have everything we need for a relaxed day at the beach (beach chair, umbrella, beach towels etc). Kitchen is well-stocked for us to cook small meals. There is a pool and grill area right next to the building. Property is in between Kihei and Wailea, and is a short drive to the restaurants there. The beach is a short walk away.

Quick Get Away

The property is in an excellent location. It’s very clean, private, and everything was provided I mean everything! Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and maps! It was wonderful to have 2 bathrooms as one of us is an early riser. Susan checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and she followed up with me after we returned home. We would absolutely stay here again if it were available. 5 star rating for sure! Thank you for making it one of our best vacations!

Magical week in Maui

We had an incredible family getaway! We'd always stayed in Wailea before, but took a chance on Kihei and are so glad we did. The complex was gorgeously landscaped, the beaches were stunning and we loved relaxing in the tropical pool. I particularly want to thank Susan for being a generous and caring host. She always responded immediately and provided a ton of great tips before we even left the mainland. My only suggestions would be to replace the thin coil mattress on the sofa bed and to dust the decor. The homey rooms were spotless, but the lamps, art and floral arrangements could use a thorough wipe. We wouldn't hesitate, however, to stay here again. Mahalo!

Amazing experience at the Maui Kamaole! K103 had great access to pool and felt hidden away and private. In a hidden away part of Kihei, yet close to everywhere you needed to go to. And Susan the host was wonderful!

Excellent VRBO! Clean quiet and centrally located

Excellent place for around 3 people. Quiet located next to the pool with a back yard that is very private. Quiet, you wouldn’t know you are around others. Excellently located near the beach and shops and restaurants. Will stay again!

Our short and sweet stay

We had an absolutely great stay at Susan’s place. The house was fully stocked. It was like you wish for something and you magically find that in the house. The property was right off the beach and very close to the pool. Our 1.5 yr old enjoyed all the pool time she could. The backyard is lush green and you’ll find a lot of different kind of birds in the morning. We would highly recommend her place for whoever visits Kihei.

Maui No Ka Oi

As frequent travelers to the Hawaiian Islands, we have visited all of them over the last 30 years numerous times. And while the other islands have their strong points, the charms of Maui can be found no where else in the island chain. Our first visit was to the Northern part of Maui but each time we returned we found better weather and properties lie in the south. In all of the times we rented at many properties we found the Maui Kamaole to be the best property in Kihei, bar none. So it should come as no surprise when considering our purchase that we chose the Maui Kamaole. The complex is low density, unlike the hotels in the North where you can barely find a chaise poolside. The grounds are beautiful, unlike any complex in the area. Complex management is the best and the property is maintained to a very high standard. We love the property so much we bought two units and return twice a year to work and play in paradise. We hope you visit soon, you will also fall in love with the magic of Maui.

The Road to Hana: Journey along the wet side of the island with all the waterfalls, it is wonderful. Stop at Keane peninsula and bring a picnic lunch for Waianapanapa State Park. Then go past Hana at 7 pools (O’heo Gulch)—spectacular.

Lahaina: Lahaina is charming, has good food, and quaint shops. Go early. It gets hot and crowded later in the day. Leave the condo at 8:30 or so and head up the coast, it takes about 40 minutes.

Ka’anapali: There are many fabulous resorts; most have been updated in the past few years. Sometimes it is fun to go to Whaler’s Village and/or go to the hotels and just walk around. Park at the Marriot, and just cruise the strip, which must include the Hyatt Regency.

Haleakala Crater: Watch the sunrise from the highest mountain on Maui. If you are not an early bird, you can see the crater from the front door of the condo, if it is clear go for it. Haleakala is 10,000 feet high, so it is cold. Wear warm clothes. Total trip is about 4 hours.

Pa’ia and Up Country: Pa’ia hosts some nice art galleries, get out of the car and take a stroll. Upcountry you’ll find Panaole’s (Cowboys) and very different countryside including cactus, horses and some very charming small Hawaiian towns.

Wailea/Makena: We are 2 blocks from Wailea. The Shops of Wailea has some really upscale shops, and free parking. The beaches in this area are really great. Big Beach, Makena and Keawakapu are worth checking out.

Whale Watch: We take Pacific Whale Foundation Whale Watch trip out of Lahaina or Ma'alea Harbor. Whale season runs from mid December through April so if you are lucky enough to go on this outing, do it. They also do a dolphin adventure to Lanai’I which we do in the summer.
