Cute hideaway

Not too far from the lake. Lake was too low to fish, but would've been fine if we had our boat. Tubing options also around. It's a quiet location and was affordable. The Internet went out one night but was back on in the morning. Host was responsive.

Wedding Trip

We were here for a wedding at The Reserve which was conveniently just across the Highway. We were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry about the drive back to a hotel. This location was very nice and quite so we weee able to relax when needed. We highly recommend this home.

Quite times on lake

Had a nice time at hummingbird haven. Tv lost setup at 8:45 Thursday night. Tried resetting router amp with no luck. Also was emergency next door at 6:50 am Friday with strobe lights lighting my room up. But that can happen anywhere, so I’m not deducting for this. Had good hamburger from city grill and goo Mexican food by Brookshiresand good breakfast at granny b.

Wonderful little stay

This is our second time to come with our two kids. It is a perfect little house for a family of four. It does need a little updating but other than that it is perfect! The price is good and you get what you pay for.

Don’t stay here

It was hot & miserable. We booked for 3 nights and only got to stay for 1. The window unit is insufficient for cooling the place. My kids were dripping in sweat in the middle of the night and during our one day there I had to drive them around for 2 hours for their naps so they could sleep in the AC of the car. The window unit and refrigerator have visible mold which made me sick. We left after one night to go stay somewhere we could cool down and not get sick. I provided photos of the mold & explained that it was unbearably hot- they did not care. Management (Michelle with Evolve) was less than helpful & is refusing to validate my complaints. I made it clear impartial refund is not sufficient. They’ve since stopped replying to me & only refunded for ONE night + cleaning fee. While I’m over here stuck paying for two places to stay just so we could sleep without sweating. All of this is on them and they’re assuming zero responsibility. Don’t stay here. I’d say you get what you pay for, but in our case we’re paying for what we didn’t get. Plus having to go pay for medical attention and an alternate place to stay.

Nice place for small families

We enjoyed our stay, quiet place with close proximity to lots of things to do, the glass bottom boat in San Marcos is a must see, shopping in San Marcos and the Riverwalk in San Antonio all within 40 minutes drive. Place is accommodating, for family of 4 or smaller, has everything you need and is great if you have pets. Cons, noisy window unit , and noisy fans, a mini split will be something I recommend, bathroom gets hot and spare bedroom needs air circulation.

Spring break’23

Cute property to stay for our family if 3. We spent time in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Kyle. Great yard for pets. It’s a little outdated-air confirming, refrigerator make noises like they are struggling to work, low water pressure for showers, spices available were expired-did not use, oven was dirty upon arrival, floorboards were separated- let owner know and she apologized for that. Lots of appliances to use- microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot to name a few. All comforts for your kitchen included- utensils, plates, cups, trash bags, cooking utensils, bowls. Family Dollar is right up the road- walking distance. Laundry mat about 3 miles away. If you are a picky sleeper- bring your own pillows. We always bring our own pillows even with a hotel. The porch was so nice just to sit and chill as it’s nice and quiet. Overall a nice stay.

Peaceful Retreat

We were wanting to visit Austin and San Antonio but didn't want to stay in a big city so decided on this in-between location. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the friendliness of the community. The size of this home was comfortable for our family of 4. If we visit this area again, we will definitely consider rebooking this or another one of the homeowner's properties!

Great Place!

The house was adorable, the owner was amazing and so quick to respond to any questions. My dog loved the fenced yard! Had everything we needed. Super close to all the fun canyon lake has to offer.

Clean , private, and comfortable home for a small family with pets.

We stayed at Hummingbird Haven for a week. Just enough space for 2 adults, 2 small kiddos and 2 small dogs. Lovely fenced in yard. A kitchen with everything you need. Great WiFi and plenty of privacy. Better, and less expensive, than a hotel room. Wonderful restaurant right down the street. Will stay here again!

Excellent Stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! Everything was perfect, and we had a great time relaxing at the property. We were very happy that our pets were welcome as well, the yard was perfect for them. We loved the new fire pit too. We will stay here in the future when we visit Canyon Lake. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was very clean, the owner communicated with us and made us feel welcome. The area was nice and quiet. We were just a little over a mile away from Overlook Park where we spent a lot of our time. We will be back for sure!

Cute little cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway!

Great location to things we wanted to be near. A/C works great and the little dressing room came in handy with three ladies sharing the space. I will definitely keep in mind for future getaways in this location.
