Fully furnished, Close to the pool and dog friendly

Matagorda is noted for it's great beach, fishing & birding. You can drive on 20 miles of beach. Fishing, shelling and birding is always good. This is not like Galveston with herds of people. The only herds are cattle that you may see behind the beach grazing on winter grass.

All you have to bring is food, beach towels & your favorite toys. Kitchens are fully furnished, with enough supplies for several days. Condos are right next to the club house and pool. Just walk out your door and cross the bridge. You are just a short walk to the sand dunes, cross them and you are on the beach or you can get a beach permit from the local stores and drive on the beach.

Great place close to the pool and the beach!

Place was nice and easy to rent, responsible priced. Was nice to walk to the pool. Beach is just a couple minute drive.

Great week at the beach.

One of the better outfitted Dunes rentals, had everything we needed. Make sure you bring plenty of bugspray if you stay at the Dunes, mosquitos swarm constantly!

We had a great time and enjoyed the house.If I had a complaint to make, it would be that the kitchen was actually overstocked, not much room left for items we brought in case we needed them.It’s clean , quiet and convenient to all of our activities.

Beach Time

Had a great time. We loved the area and how easy to get to the beach. Condo had all we needed and then some. Stanley store had a great grill. I didn't have to cook 😀

Perfect Location

Water all around! Walk to the beach and short drive for fishing and kayaking. Condo was just right for our family with 2 teens and had everything you would typically need. Wifi was dependable and Satellite TV was a plus.

Amazing Wildlife!

So much to do without making a big "to do". The condo offers a lot more than access to the beach, as the surrounding is a habitat for so many creatures. From the deck alone we spotted a small alligator, many crabs, many fish, and a turtle. We baited the crabs with lunch meat, and there were many small ones but and a HUGE blue crab came into the clear water below the deck also! Between swimming at the pool, combing the beach (with AMAZING shells), and shopping in town we found much to occupy ourselves at the dwelling. Would definitely return and recommend!

Favorite Place

This is our second trip to Matagorda Beach. We love the condo. Love that it has its own pool. This will be an annual family trip. John was great to deal with. Smooth booking process and we even got to check in early. We plan to be back next year and hope we can stay at John’s condo. 5 stars.

Great pool 😊Not many local restaurants so plan to cook , wonderful location be sure to get your permit to drive on the beach so cool 😎🏖
