Always a pleasure to come back here! Loved putting out a hummingbird feeder and watching three hummingbirds fly about every day! Sitting on the covered porch outside the master bedroom is amazing. And floating and relaxing on the cool, clear lake in the afternoon takes away the stress of work. Hosts are amazing and we had no issues that required their help! Home was clean, everything in working order. Highly recommend!

Great vacation

Super easy to reserve, accuracy of description helped us plan for 9, 4 adults 5 kids under 12, and 2 dogs. Fishing, swimming, a really neat zoo nearby, all sorts of activities even on a rainy day!

Calming oasis

We have been vacationing at the Firefly Inn for a few years now, and hope to keep going year after year. Clean, comfortable property. Well stocked kitchen with good quality pots/pans, etc. Large back deck with table/umbrella overlooking a beautiful lake. Love the sand access to the quiet lake. New covered porch area off the master is a wonderful addition. Excellent and prompt communication with property owners. We have zero complaints!

Wonderful Get-away

We loved the Firefly Inn!

The set-up at this location was perfect. There were 7 of us. We loved having the lake just steps from the back door. The sandy beach area was wonderful. Our dogs loved, loved the lake and also appreciated having their own full-sized doggie couch to lounge on. We fully enjoyed the two kayaks, paddle board and the paddle boat...and the lily pads. We had fun fishing and caught and released quite a few fish. We saw several cool water snakes and a turtle. It was a full moon while we were there, and the moon over the lake in the evening while sitting around a small campfire was perfection. The chalet does get a little warm in the heat of the day, but the ac catches up nicely in the late afternoon! All in all it was a perfect five days of fun and relaxation.

Exceeded our expectations

Property owners were responsive to our queries. Easy access to the water facilitated our enjoyment. Grandkids (aged 11 and 8) and dogs had a particularly good time.

Perfect weekend getaway from St. Louis

This weekend retreat is beginning to turn into a yearly tradition! This quaint chalet in Innsbrook is perfect for families and dogs! The owners are always very polite and prompt for anything you need. We enjoy the location of the property sitting in the woods. We especially enjoy the fire pit and sand area. The inside is always very clean and comfortable! High recommend this property!

Beautiful property!

This property is nothing short of amazing! The lake is beautiful, the outdoor spaces are impeccable. Enough room for our large family to eat around the dining table. Amazing experience for adults and kids alike!

Fabulous Firefly Inn

We were back for another relaxing week at the Firefly Inn. The check in/ check out process was a breeze. The place has all you need. Good pots and pans to cook with. Enough silverware and dishes to eat. There are TVs in the main room and master bedroom if you want to watch them. Games for rainy day entertainment. Outside is a beautiful deck, table with umbrella for enjoying outside. Closer to the water is a fire pit with nice chairs. Lily pads and kayaks for the Lake, which is clear, cool and relaxing. We had a great time! We’ll be back next summer!

Perfect for a family with young kids

The owners were very responsive. The place was cozy and perfect for our two small families. Our 5 year olds shared the bunk bed room while the parents had their own bedrooms. The little sandy beach in our backyard was key! The kids played for hours. Our two year old was also very entertained by the sand and water. The zero entry into the lake was great for our littles as well as our medium golden doodle. We could not have picked a better place.

Wonderful Family Get Away

What a perfect place for our growing family. The grandchildren loved the sand/beach & toys, canoeing, the lily pad, fishing. Quiet area (except when the little ones had a meltdown). The only "complaint" (and it isn't a huge one), is that the upstairs didn't cool off very well in the afternoon when it was nap time. It was a perfect place for our family to get away. There was something for everyone. Beautiful area & well maintained.

Wonderful family rental!

If you are looking for a summer kid-friendly place to stay, where your kids have fun all day on the water- this is the place! It's a perfect sized small lake where you can see everything from the deck. There is a gate on the deck that gives a lot of peace of mind for little ones. Tons of water items provided and a sandy zero entry area. Absolutely wonderful! We've stayed here twice and would love to come again. Owners are very kind.

Weekend getaway

We had a great experience here. The house was right off a quiet lake that you can enjoy and relax at the same time with all the extras you could imagine. Very clean and even had extras things you may have forgotten like bug spray! She left s’mores for us to enjoy by the bonfire as well! It was a great time for our family and friends!

Great Lake stay

We had a great time at the Firefly Inn. The sand beach was great for the kids to play. We enjoyed the canoe, kayak, paddle boat, and swimming in the lake. Property was clean and well stocked. Would stay again!

This was super close where the wedding was at the Aspen center. Very nice place to stay. Very peaceful- nice live concert last night at the pool.

We had a great visit to the Firefly Inn! Doug and Doreen were very good hosts. The communication was very smooth between us. The house was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to have a great stay! My family really enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities. We would recommend the Firefly Inn to anyone planning a visit to Innsbrook.

Yearly Nana and Pa vacation with just Grandkids

The owners were absolutely wonderful. Grandchildren range from 18 to 10 only spent 4 hours total on 4 night stay at pool they absolutely preferred the amenities and lake. Was first for some on paddle boarding and kayaking and canoeing. We pretty much had lake to ourselves. The only thing I want to mention which owners have no control of weather was triple digits heatwave during our trip and kids who like to keep going in and out if heat sensitive can be uncomfortable. We definitely will return. Highly recommend. Thank You Doug and Doreen for allowing us to have memories that last a lifetime at your family cabin.

Family Vacation in a pretty location

Overall it was a great rental property on a lake shred by 5 other properties. Loves the welcome basket that you all provided - it was a nice touch. Very pretty location with a lot of trails, fishing, community pool, wildlife (a lot of deer) and fire pit (fire wood provided which was nice). Not a long trip to go to St. Louis for a day trip as well. The only negatives that we had was the guest bedroom upstairs mattress was SO Uncomfortable (felt like I was laying on the hardwood floor). My husband and I ended up sleeping in the kids room with the bunk beds which wasn’t ideal. Also the internet was horrible so don’t except to watch anything while you are there. We tried to watch when it was dark but got frustrated so just turned it off. Note - I know it’s surrounded by nature and seeing wildlife is to be expected but we saw three copperhead snakes in the pond/up along the bank. So be careful and watch your surroundings - I wouldn’t advise swimming in there.

Beautiful property

It has everything you want. Well furnished, lots of stuff to do on the water, beach is perfect. Great fishing too! Get some worms and you will be reeling in bluegill all day.

Very relaxing place

The sunrise was gorgeous. The trees were changing colors and so pretty. This was a nice place to relax and recharge.

Firefly Inn Perfect Family/Dog Vacation!

Our weekend getaway could not have been any better staying at the Firefly Inn. This home had everything offered to make for the perfect family/dog vacation. This home had plenty of space for all 7 of us including our dog. Home is tucked back in the woods on a quiet lake with enough amenities to keep everyone entertained all day. Our family enjoyed our stay so much that we have planned to make this our tradition!

Piece of heaven

Our stay at Firefly Inn was perfect! We spent a lot of time outdoors fishing, canoeing, grilling, relaxing around the fire pit. Wildlife is everywhere to see and hear too. When the heavy rain came, we moved inside and everybody found something to enjoy. House is very well stocked and furnished. Communication with hosts was very easy and replies came very fast. Would definitely go back without hesitation.

Great weekend for all

We had a great weekend; the kids and dogs had a blast. Just bring your fishing poles, clothes and food! Otherwise this place has everything you need to relax and have a good time.
