Great location! House was cozy and clean…with one minor exception (one corner had a distinct pet smell but only in that corner of the room). Otherwise, great property. Loved the access to trails, especially into town!!!

A Great Getaway

Our stay at Woodland Log Village Retreat was fantastic! The cabin was well appointed and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, playing games in front of the fireplace, and watching movies on the big screen in the living room area. The hot tub was the perfect antidote to sore muscles after our adventures on the slopes. The location was quiet and private yet close to Snow Summit and the Village. We highly recommend this vacation rental and would definitely book it again next time we are up for a family or firiends ski/boarding trip.To make your trip even better, here are few things we recommend to bring that we had to go out and get or wish we had brought with us:KleenexAn additional roll of paper towelsAn extra dish towel or twoFirewood for the fireplacesTupperware containers for left-oversSalt, pepper and other seasoningsCooking oilCandles for the dining tableSpa/beach towels for the hot tub

Nice Place, Lots of Dog Hair

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood near hiking trails. Home space if very nice with nice large bedrooms. The only thing was there was dog hair everywhere. My son is allergic to dogs and developed hives the whole stay. Every crevice of our things had dog hair when we got home.

Awesome location!

This is our third year staying in this home. It is the perfect location to easily drive to/from the ski slopes as well as the village. With hiking trails right outside the door, there is plenty to do without snow. Our dogs love it too! The only reason for the 4 stars is that there were not enough towels upon arrival and the condition of the fireplace equipment was terrible (which we replaced). The property managers were extremely responsive and took care of the issues right away. However, the first two times we stayed, we did not have any of these issues.

Perfect home for large group

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and will absolutely book again! It’s clean, far enough away from the crowds to be peaceful but close enough to get anywhere within minutes. It’s clean and well stocked and dog friendly. Absolutely perfect for us!

Nice Family Getaway

Nice quiet property at end of street, has good amount of space for family or friends. Bathrooms nicely remodeled and cute wall paper and decorative touches. Hot tub was great,new and clean. Firepit area is nice but would recommend swapping sandy gravel with flagstone for less ant issues and to stop tracking sand into house from hot tub as well. But overall great property, enjoyed the cabin feel.

Great location, clean and comfy cabin

We enjoyed the long weekend at this perfect cabin located in big bear. We had so much fun sledding right in the backyard and then warming up in the jacuzzi. This place is centrally located and had everything you need for a great time. Check in is right down the street and the online description is spot on. Thank you!

Fantastic location

Great location and perfect for multiple families or large groups. Unfortunately the snow wasn’t great but had it been, sledding behind the house would’ve been perfect. Fenced backyard was perfect for our dogs. Would recommend!

December Getaway

This cabin was A+++++++. The description was spot on and had an amazing time. You can tell how well built the cabin is and the beds were very comfortable. We got lucky and picked a time where it snowed the entire trip and used the Main Street and small hills around the place for sledding with the kiddos. We will definitely stay here again.

Cabin is in a nice neighborhood with trees all around. There was plenty of room for everyone. Would like to visit again if the opportunity comes up.

Nice Stay

This house is great. Very clean, excellent layout, and it has everything you need. The downstairs did take a little while to warm up once the heat was on, but other than that...we loved it. Backyard is fantastic if you have kids and pets. Will definitely stay again.

Great location, met all our needs!

The property was clean, comfortable close to the village and walking trails. It was well stocked with all the necessities. Great view from the front deck and the back yard was a fun place to relax. My family and I had a great time. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location, perfect setting and just great!

This home is on the end of a paved street at the base of a mountain with hiking trails. It is completely fenced in both front and back. The bedrooms are large, tidy, and there are many windows! The kitchen is in the perfect center spot and there are many tvs in the house/rooms. The backyard is super cool with a jacuzzi, fire pit, hammock, kids tent for play and perfectly landscaped. There is a balcony at the front door area and the backyard and the master bedroom. It is really a great house and we have rented dozens of homes over the years in BB. The only one thing I would change is the carpeting on the middle and third floors. All wood is preferred personally for a rental because it cleans up easier and looks cleaner. The house also has a ton of boardgames. We are considering staying here again soon. They also have shampoo/conditioner/towels and washer and dryer on site. We loved this house!!!!!

Great spot!

Perfect place to stay for our group of 6! Easy walk to town, close to summit. Nice jacuzzi and comfortable cabin! Wish check in was virtual rather than going to the office, but oh well. Highly recommend!

Great Vacation

We had a great vacation overall. The cabin is located in a really scenic area and very close to the city. Very well kept overall, only gripe I have is the upstairs bathroom plumbing might need to be looked as there is some leaking that occurs when using the shower. Would def come back here!!

Cozy cabin

This was a great cabin- very clean and cozy. The kids could sled in the backyard and with nobody on one side it felt more private. There’s a nice hiking trail above and we were at the slopes in less than 5 mins- great time!

Beautiful cabin

Beautiful location! Very spacious! Huge front and backyard! Take blankets and bedding if possible because the 2 rooms on top get cold and bedding covers are dIrty. Throw blankets near couches are dirty. Downstairs its clean and there’s wifi. Take your own dish pods for dish washer to leave dishes clean. Fun cabin for the whole family overall!

There is No Street Parking Allowed in Big Bear- Make Every Attempt to Get Cars Off the Street for Snowplows. November thru April the law requires snow chains in your cars.

Pet Policy-Pet Friendly Homes Only-$40/Pet/Night
Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
