Wonderful home close to Hunter

This house is very close to Hunter mountain. It is a very cozy home with good wifi and an upgraded kitchen. I would stay here again if I went back to Hunter.

Perfect Hunter Home

The house was clean, loved the living/dining room area! Great for couple families or friends, and close to Hunter Mountain! Loved the extra touches (ski themed bedding, the Keurig machine), and the retro video game stations were a hit with the kids!

We had an exceptional experience at the Hunter Getaway Den. First, communication with the host, Jennifer, was awesome. She is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always replying promptly to any inquiries, making the entire process seamless from check-in to check-out. Second, the house is meticulously clean and complete with absolutely everything we needed. We felt immediately relaxed, warm, and cozy here. Finally, the location is ideal: just along the road, providing easy access to local stores, dining options, and hiking trailheads. This is a five-star stay, and we will definitely be returning!

Spacious, Immaculate “Bear House”

Clean, spacious, convenient house full of bears. Would suggest welcome booklet with directions for tv. Property manager exceptionally helpful and prompt in replying to questions. Suggestion of North South lake for swimming was excellent.

Wonderful Catskill Getaway

We couldn't have asked for better! The house was conveniently located (the owner even put cones at the end of the driveway so that you could find it easily!), the kitchen was well equipped, and we all felt very comfortable! The owner was excellent with communication as well! This was the first time my parents stayed in a rental home, and they were pleasantly surprised! Thanks for making our weekend getaway enjoyable!

Nice Hunter getaway!

Great house for visiting Hunter Mountain, nice and roomy space and has all facilities you will need. Beds were not the best, everything else was fantastic.

Perfect location

The location of this property couldn’t be more perfect! It is only a couple minutes in each direction from either Hunter Mountain entrance and it is a nice view out the back of the slopes. The home has a nice set up and very spacious ! The arcade games and foosball table make it even more fun while hanging out. The owner was quick to respond and was very accommodating. The only negative I would ever say about this property is that there is no washer and dryer in this home. I didn’t see it advertised this way in the listing and just would have been nice to know before hand so we could’ve packed appropriately. This property we would definitely book again and we all had a great time!

Great house for a family gathering

We had a great visit at the house. The house is large and fit my family of 4 and my in-laws, and could have fit more easily. The house, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. Everything worked well in the house, and water pressure was great (a nice change from our recent stays in other locations). The location is perfect for getting to Hunter Mountain, as well as other activities in the Catskills, but it's best to drive. For those with pets or small dogs the house is located on a busy road, and there is no fence, so they would be better playing inside or in another location. Our group loved the fusball and the Mortal Kombat arcade video game, and we had a great spooky movie night in front of the wood-burning firestove. All in all, we would love to return for a ski weekend in the future!

Felt home from the first minute

Perfect house for stay where there is not a lot of good take out options. Large kitchen, and dining area , we cooked throughout our stay… we even had guests for dinner…didn’t have to contact the owner even once…

Perfect for hiking!

This property is exactly as listed (and maybe even a bit better!) we hiked for two days and spent the rest of the time enjoying the property. Host is very responsive. Would be outstanding foe skiing Hunter. Literally right there!!! Loved it.

Family Get Away

The owner was wonderful and pictures were a good representation of the property. There was plenty of space plus more to spare. Jennifer provided everything you needed in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. It was clean and overall we were very happy. It was a much older home than we are used to with a very rustic country feel. We had such lovely weather that an outside space would have been welcomed. I would have loved to sit on a porch with a glass of wine and enjoy the comings and goings since house is on a main street. Plenty of parking and it was in close driving distance to Hunter and to town.

Exactly what we needed!

The house is just great! The fussball table and the arcade game (Mortal Kombat) make it even better. We really enjoyed our stay as a group of 7.
