Excellent location and Villa

You won’t be disappointed about this amazing villa, the pictures don’t do it justice. There was plenty of room for four of us, two couples, and you could walk to every site and restaurant. The only thing is Next Door it appears to be a wedding venue and about three or four nights of the whole week was quite loud.

Be Still My Heart

This was my second stay at Villa Donna Elisa. I hope to return again next year. There are no words to describe how amazing the villa and gardens are on this property. The minute you walk through the gates, you feel all your anxieties disappear. The location is walking distance to everything in the city centre. Bruno and Federica are outstanding at attending to all details from booking through the end of your trip. I cannot say enough about this place and it’s representatives. It has become a VERY SPECIAL place to me over the years——it just takes you back to another time when life was much less complicated. I’m always sad when its time to go. XO

Perfect location, great views

This is a special place. Very private, spacious, and well-appointed. Situated on a cliff overlooking the harbor and close to restaurants and services. Also close to the train station for your ventures to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples.

Beautiful villa, centrally located.

The villa was beautiful! The garden is gorgeous, overlooks the ocean. The villa was centrally located, it was perfect for our needs.

I would do this again

You can not start this review without complimenting the owner and the management team. Absolutely exceptional. Perfect for 2 couples, quiet, clean, secure, excellent views of the water, exceptional landscaping, very close to everything, and the accommodations lacked nothing. The only thing missing was a private chef, chocolates on the pillows, and a turndown service :).

Villa with a view!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Donna Elisa. There was plenty of room for our group of two couples. Every convenience we needed was provided. We loved wandering through the gardens and sitting out overlooking the bay or gazing off toward Vesuvius. The location is superb with a market a few blocks away, the main Piazza a stroll away and excellent restaurants around every corner. Our stay at Villa Donna Elisa was a highlight of our 3 week journey to the Amalfi Coast. Bruno and the staff at the villa were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend!

Fantastic Spot, Beautiful views

A piece of paradise

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely villa. The town of Sorrento is lively and loud. The property is an isle of tranquility with a beautiful and very well kept garden, with lemon, orange trees and a lot of flowers. From the garden terrace and two of the apartment terraces you have an impressive view of the Vesuv and the sea. The apparent has a lot of flair, is well equipped and with two bedrooms and two bathrooms ideal for four persons. Both Donna Elisa, the owner, and Bruno are lovely and helpful. This is a place where we would love to come back to….

Living the Dream

Our 10 day stay at Villa Donna Elisa was like a dream. Once entering the lovely gardens we were overwhelmed by the accommodations and the hospitality. We could not have asked for a finer location in Sorrento and the nearness to the charms of this wonderful little city. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. It is important to add the hospitality continued with the interaction with Madame Donna Elisa who did everything possible to insure our comfort. It was always a joy to have conversations with her. We are extremely grateful for the attention we received when we had a medical concern and a physician came to the villa within an hour and we were very satisfied, actually overjoyed, with the attention and we were able to continue to enjoy our holiday. Finally, there are no words to describe the stunning views of the harbor each day. We are absolutely certain we found the finest place to stay in Sorrento at the Villa Donna Elisa. Upon our hopeful return to Sorrento again we will be able to spend our visit at the Villa Donna Elias. Patrick and Nina Lillard

Fabulous property in the center of Sorrento

We absolutely loved Villa Elisa. Located 3 minutes away from the centre of Sorrento, it is nevertheless a heaven of quiet and privacy. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and offers a magnificent view onto the bay of Naples and the vesuvio. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable, beautifully appointed and decorated. Fabulous.

THE BEST place in Sorrento!!

This was the second time that we stayed at Villa Donna Elisa and again it was absolutely perfect!! The privacy, beauty, lush gardens and ocean views right next to the city center cannot be duplicated. We honestly feel special and like royalty when we stay there. The communication and service from Bruno and his team were excellent, including the airport transportation he coordinated for us both to and from Naples. For those of you who like “modern” decor and might be shying away from this place because it’s more traditional, don’t pass this up. Trust me. We love and live our daily lives in modern. Villa Donna Elisa is special and a place you will never forget. It’s a place that you will want to come back to. Impeccably clean, private, very large bedrooms and bathrooms, tons of storage, full kitchen and several terraces and a patio right on the ocean. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to go back! A Superb Experience in the Lovely Villa on the Ocean!

Staying in this lovely villa was truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We were a group of 4 and had the second floor of this lovely home located high up on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The ocean views from every room, both balcony bedrooms and from a large outdoor patio are spectacular! The property is marvelously landscaped and has a sitting area in the garden area overlooking the ocean. There are lemon trees, many varieties of roses, palm trees and so many other flowers and shrubs that are just beautiful in this professionally cared for property. The location is very close to the Sorrento central city area but very quiet and peaceful once inside the property gates. The experience of our 5 day stay exceeded here our expectations by a lot!

Superb Villa and Location

We were in Italy with our daughter and wanted to find something perfect to see the Amalfi coast. This is a charming villa in the perfect location. It's quiet at nice but close enough to walk to many restaurants and sites. It would be helpful to have a list of recommended restaurants as there are so many to choose from. The beds are superb! This is a great for a family or two couples. Each bedroom has private bathrooms. The layout of the villa is perfect!

Beautiful Accommodation in Sorrento

The Villa Donna Elisa was a beautiful retreat. Our host was very informative and offered many tip and suggestions to help us enjoy our stay. The home was private and very secure. The view and the gardens were exceptional. The home is on a main street with easy access to restaurants, shopping and the main square. I would definitely recommend a stay at the villa.

A Sorrento Paradise

This apartment is in a magical setting surrounded by a lush tropical garden, on a cliff with a view of the harbor, the Sorrento coast, Naples and Vesuvius. Yet the property is steps from numerous restaurants and the town's main square and other attactions, and also steps from the Circumvesuviana train station that can take you to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Everything you would want for a perfect holiday is here.

Second time around

We have just returned from the Villa after spending 15 glorious nights here.This is our second time here and feels like our second home in Italy.This is by far our favourite place to stay in Italy.Mdm Elisa is a perfect host.She is very helpful and her knowledge of Sorrento is simply amazing.We had several chats with her regarding the history of this area.She has a very sharp mind and memory of past history. The view here never gets tiring.The villa is very well laid out,is kept very clean and the grounds are amazing. We will miss Elisa and the Villa and hope to return someday. The apartment, sea views and gardens of Villa Donna Elisa are all delightful. Quiet and private but within easy walking distance of excellent restuarants and transportation facilities needed for tours of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Perfect for Two Couples or Family of Five

We loved our stay here. Donna Elisa gave us plenty of privacy, but was available anytime we needed her. Excellent location - a five minute walk away from everything! This is the only place we will stay in Sorrento when we go back.

Perfect villa in Sorrento

Our family of four (two teens) loved Villa Donna Elisa! It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The views from the garden were amazing. Mrs. Elisa was so helpful and kind. Bruno, the listing agent, was helpful and arranged for rides to the airport and from the train station. The location is the perfect walking distance to everything in Sorrento. One concern was the wifi. The service was not reliable and could use an upgrade. Over-all, this was our best stop in our tour of Italy. Highly recommend!

Just Perfect

Fantastic stay!! Absolutely spectacular location. Close to the city, with dramatic views and tranquil gardens. Donna Elissa is a gracious host with a lifetime of knowledge. The decor is classic style, we usually like modern but everything is spotless and inviting. Every deck has a view and seating. I would highly recommend this property.

Why there?: He had several good reasons for choosing this spot, and it is for these same reasons that modern-day travelers are spellbound by this amazing villa. From the large and splendid terrace, placed directly above the sea, you will be able to admire the incomparable scenery of Sorrento and the tall cliffs that dive into the sea. A bit further in the distance, your sight will rest on the large arc of the Gulf of Naples, with the characteristic cone of Mount Vesuvius right in the middle of it. Closer by, you will be able to see other elegant historical mansions, which now are luxury hotels.
