Great Location!

The apartment is in great location for exploring the area beaches, restaurants and we made a day trip to San Francisco. It was very clean, kitchen is well stocked for meals, plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets, everything you need to make staying there comfortable. Communicating with Mary-Anne was easy with a quick response back. Would definitely stay again if in the Half Moon Bay area.

Nice stay

I booked this rental to visit family in the area over part of Memorial Day weekend. Check in was easy, the property was very clean and comfortable, and communication with Mary-Anne was very good. We enjoyed our stay despite our son being sick. I would stay again the next time we visit.

Beautiful HMB Weekend

The unit is exactly as the photos show! Lobby entrance is tight and dated but once inside it’s lovely and immaculate! Beautiful and tastefully remodeled home. Full kitchen of housewares, beach towels, chairs, and toys for my granddaughter! 1/2 mile walk to the beach at Pillar Point and Harbor shops.

We loved the place. Perfect for family of four. Walking to parks, beach, food etcWe live the open concept and everything we needed was there. Kindly there was fruit, cheese and crackers for us which we enjoyed. Fantastic value, and perfect for us.

Great Stay in a cute Costal Town

Our family only stays at VRBO properties when we travel and this was the nicest we’ve been at in years. Newly remodeled and super clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with all the appliances and extras you could think of. The host was very responsive when we had a request and check in and out was super easy. The location in Half Moon Bay was our favorite part. Close enough to the big city to go in for a day, far enough away to be completely out of it. Great beaches just a short walk away and a cute little downtown area with lots of restaurants a short drive away. Definitely recommend this property.

We Had A Lovely Time Here!

Mary-Anne, our host, was wonderful. Incredibly thoughtful and generous. The unit was incredibly sweet and had everything we needed. A full kitchen, a great shower, comfy beds & pillows, too! It was also in a great location and close to the ocean. Looking forward to our next stay. This will definitely be our first choice. Highly recommend staying here!

Hidden Gem

Our stay was truly wonderful. We previously lived in the area and were visiting to see friends, beaches and explore some new areas. The location is fairly walkable given the necessity for a car generally in HMB. The apartment had everything we could possibly need and the host was unbelievable responsive and even providing some items when we needed it on short notice. I can't recommend this place any more.

Wonderful stay!

We spent 4 days visiting the San Francisco area (including San Jose and Santa Cruz). This home was perfectly located so we never drove too far each day. It was recently remodeled and is beautiful in and out. It is walking distance to the beach too! The owner provided recommendations for sightseeing and meals - all were excellent. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Excellent location & place to stay

The hostess is so responsive. You are welcomed with wine & treats, coffee & cream. The home is 3.5 mile walk to Half Moon Bay & opposite direction 1.5 mile walk to harbor. Great restaurants both areas. I will definitely plan to return here. Very safe area. Hostess provides great resources for restaurants, hiking trails, breweries & winery. Enjoy a stay in this home.

Great Time in El Granada

We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, the house was well maintained and the owners (Mary-Anne and Brian) were very responsive. If you are looking for a quiet, well kept house, with access to the Bay Area, this is the place. The price point was hundreds less than local area hotels and other rentals. I could not recommend this place more highly!

Beautiful home

Great place! Huge! Loved the kitchen! Also had every kitchen utensil we needed! Within walking distance to the ocean! Owners were extremely nice and accommodating! Nice to stay out of the city but still be close enough! Will definitely stay here every time we visit San Francisco!

A Nice Coastal Respite

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Mary-Anne's place. It was very clean and quite large for a two bedroom VRBO. We cooked in a couple nights and the large kitchen had everything we needed including an amazing full-wood butcher-block island. My kids and I had fun playing ping-pong in the backyard our first morning. This property is close to many things Half-Moon Bay and quick access to the HWY without being so close that you can hear the traffic. We could not hear it at all, which was nice and peaceful. We'll definitely consider coming back for a future coastal vacation!

Great Visit in HMB!

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was large, clean, and well stocked. The kitchen was well equipped, and it had everything we needed. We had dinner out a couple of nights, but made dinner in the kitchen as well. We loved the welcome package with the treats. Very nice touch! I would recommend this place to others, but keep in mind the owners live upstairs and you will hear them moving around. If you are used to apartment living this will probably not bother you.

AWESOME PROPERTY, AWESOME HOSTS AND AWESOME LOCATION.

Mary-Anne and Brian were absolutely the BEST hosts at any VRBO property we've stayed at nationwide. Their hospitality and eagerness to make sure our stay was great was unparalleled. The property itself is beautiful and immaculate. It was well stocked with everything from toiletries to towels to kitchen utensils. Location, location, location. You would be hard pressed to find a more centrally located place than Mary-Anne and Brian's property in El Granada. We (my wife, son and myself) were literally minutes (walking) to the beach and a variety of great restaurants including Sam's Chowder House. Napa Valley, Sonoma, San Jose and San Francisco were all short drives. I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone considering visiting this area. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

My husband, two children and I have lived in the Half Moon Bay area for 25 years and in El Granada for 20 years. We can't imagine living anywhere else - the community is very friendly and quiet and the local natural beauty outstanding. I enjoy walking by the ocean daily and witnessing the variety it offers - sunny, calm and peaceful to windswept and stormy. I see wildlife every day - a variety of birds, sea lions, seals, dolphins and even whales can all be sighted regularly from the Surfers Beach area. In addition, we enjoy kayaking in the harbor area, biking along the coastal trail and hiking at the Purissima Creek Redwoods only 15 minutes away. We also enjoy the cultural offerings of our community as well - there is a local theater which offers productions throughout the year, the cafes and bars have a variety of live music every weekend as well as during the week and there are local art offerings such as the annual Pumpkin Festival as well as a number of local galleries. We are fortunate to be near a number of tasty restaurants offering a variety of cuisines - Indian, Seafood, Italian, Thai, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Nepali as well as many cafes and bakeries.

If we feel like venturing a bit further abroad, we are only 40 minutes from San Francisco and less than an hour from San Jose where ballet, opera, a myriad of museums, street fairs, festivals, etc await us.

Although we thoroughly enjoy our home here by the sea, we also love to travel even further abroad. I have lived in New York and London and have traveled throughout the United States, the British Isles, France and Italy as well as Cyprus, Costa Rica, Nepal, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. For me one of the greatest pleasures of traveling is meeting people from different places and cultures and we look forward to hosting guests in our VRBO from near and far.
