Geckoes Lodge is owned and managed by husband and wife team, René Flores & Tine Mortier.

We have backgrounds in arts, education and tourism, and have lived in Belgium, Ecuador, Spain and Colombia. In 2018 we decided it was time for a new adventure and we moved to this beautiful spot in Costa Rica.

At Geckoes Lodge, we found the perfect project to bring together all of our likings, interests and pet topics: nature, culture, sustainability and a taste for living the good life. Geckoes offers private and luxurious holiday accommodation for those who - just like us - love to enjoy the rainforest and its inhabitants while making an effort to protect these treasures. We therefore commit to sustainable development, eco-friendly practices and environmental consciousness.

Since Christmas 2008, Geckoes has welcomed many guests to this magical part of the world. We look forward to welcoming you at our place.

Geckoes Lodge has four holiday houses in a magnificent rainforest and river setting. It is only minutes from some of the world's most beautiful beaches.

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is where the rainforest meets the ocean. This area is stunningly beautiful and development remains small-scale, which means more beach, nature and wildlife to enjoy.

On the outskirt of the property and with accommodation for four people, Casa Lirio is the perfect place to holiday with friends or family. It can also be a wonderfully romantic escape for just the two of you.

Casa Lirio is your cosy holiday home from which to explore the Caribbean coast. Here, you can snorkel coral reefs from white sandy beaches, take a horseback trip through the rainforest, surf the Salsa Brava, swing through the rainforest canopy, or simply bird watch from your porch while the barbecue cooks dinner.
