Great Grand Lake Location!

Really great set up with the separate space for the kids to stay. We enjoyed dinner and the firepit on the patio every evening. The pine beach picnic site is across the highway and was great for fishing and even seeing a few moose. The ability to drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National park within 10 minutes was another huge perk. Great place to stay!

Small and cute

Very cute property. Perfect for a couple. We had a brief snafu with check in lock box code which was quickly remedied. Property owners were quick to respond to any questions. Steps up to the bathroom in the night are very dark and could use some lighting. Minimal cookware and chipped dished but enough to get by for just two. We enjoyed this little cabin and the deck with moving water behind in the late afternoon. So many birds!!!

A Grand Time in Grand Lake

We had a wonderful time at this little mountain cabin. It was super clean, well stocked, and perfectly organized. When we had questions, they were answered quickly and with care. We will definitely come back to this little cabin in the future!

Warm cabin for a cold vacation

My daughters (12 and 14) and I wanted to get away to the mountains during winter break with hopes to ski, tube, ice skate, and snow shoe. Unfortunately we had unusually cold temperatures-- even for Colorado-- during our stay. Thank goodness we were staying in this cozy cabin that made our vacation wonderful! Because we spent more time in the cabin than expected, we were pleased that the kitchen was well stocked (we made almost every meal there, although we did buy most our groceries in Denver on our way since the groceries stores in the area are limited). The tea kettle got a good workout, as did the comfy couch and TV for movie marathons and snuggles under the throw blankets that were also provided! The main bedroom had a very comfy bed, and since it was so cold, my kids did not spend much time in the "kids cabin", opting to stay in the main cabin where the fireplace was also easy to use (and we used it a lot)! Because we got quite a bit of snow while we were there, we were also pleased with the snow removal on the road/ parking area (as long as I moved my car to give them access). We did spend some time at the Fraser tubing hill which we think was the right choice over the other options. We watched NYE fireworks at Granby Ranch. And, we got day passes to Snow Mountain Ranch and enjoyed all their indoor activities.As a side note, I had a medical situation while I was there, and I contacted the owners for help. They were quick to respond via text and very helpful!

Cute cabin

The cabin is cute. The owner did let us know there was a block party with a live band scheduled during our stay. The owner gave us plenty of notice and the opportunity to cancel. We chose to keep the reservation, thinking we could have some fun at the party and as it was a holiday weekend, finding something else was probably not going to happen. What we did not anticipate was the live band being directly accross the street, vehicles parked everywhere, including campers packed in every open space. The final straw for me was a porta potty directly next to where we parked. I was was a bit worried about people leaning on my vehicle while they waited in line to use the porta potty. There were dogs everywhere roaming around and people standing in the road. The first night a guy across the street blasted techno until 10:30. We did not stay for the second night. I did not let the owner know, as none of what was happening was in their control. I know this sounds very negative, but the cabin and the owner are lovely. I am sure at any other time the cabin would have been great. My advice is this, great place if there is nothing happening, ie party, festival, etc. Probably great for a younger crowd who likes to socialize and drink with others as it seems to be a small block of cabins where everyone knows each other and routinely hang out in the evening.

Great location and cool property!

We wanted something close to the west side of RMNP and this was a great location. Plenty of restaurants and stores just up the road in Grand Lake, and it was only minutes from RMNP. Everyone in the community was friendly, and the house(s) themselves were awesome. A little different from a traditional house, but that made it even better. The bed was super comfy, good shower with hot water, and nothing seemed missing at all. Taking our trash to the bin in Grand Lake when checking out was a bit interesting, but a pre-paid bag was provided which was cool. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Shadow Mountain Lodge

At first we didn't think we could handle the different steps of the property, but we're glad that we stayed at this charming cabin! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the side patio by the creek.We were so excited to see a moose grazing on the other side of the creek as we drank our morning coffee! Conveniently located to go to RMNP and Grand Lake! Just wish the bunkhouse had it's own bathroom! We loved our stay! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!

Location okay few things need to be repaired and improved on property Pictures showed bright sunny and airy we felt more like dark and dreary. Our intention is to relax read and do crafts, we aren’t hikers and such so we can appreciate how the cottage would appeal to more active people who were more out and about. The kitchen was totally equipped and great for us cooks. Please don’t take this as a negative review just being honest in our own needs.😊

Pictures arent worth 1000 words

The cabins picture is taken from the back of the house. In reality, its 100 ft (maybe less) from a busy main road. The cabins are very close together. The cabins windows are all sealed shut except for the bedroom which faces the main road. There is no ac at all. It was very warm upper 80's most days, however the nights were somewhat cooler. The cabin is pretty inside but very plain. Kitchen is just nessities. One thing to note; there was insulin in the refrigerator and the guest book hadnt been signed for over a month. So, if you dont like the heat, or crowds dont rent this. It was also very confusing to find.

CUTE cabin with access to the Grand Lake community

I stayed here in March (early spring) with a couple of inches of fresh snowfall. Having the wood burning stove was a must since electricity went out for a while. The owners were great at keeping in touch. The place had EVERYTHING we needed for a comfortable stay from refrigerated condiments to laundry on site. I would love to see this place in the summer. I'd highly recommend it. Maybe next year!

Awesome, awesome little cabin with great location!

This cabin is just perfect for a small family and is nestled away but still extremely close to Grand Lake and even closer to Shadow Mountain Lake! The host was extremely responsive and addressed any questions or concerns that we had right away! We can’t wait to go back.

Birthday trip

We had a lovely time with my husband and two children. It was super close to town and had everything we could need. We loved the extra room with bunk beds that my kids got to have their own area. We will be back!

Very accommodating

I rented this property for my girlfriend and her 2 friends. The ad was accurate and the booking was easy. When the girls arrived, there was a slight issue with the bedding not being finished with it’s laundry cycle/beds made - but when the landlord reached out to check on them, and was informed of the situation, she went above and beyond to make up for it. I am very grateful for her hospitality and generosity.
