Never had a more concerned and kind hostess. The apartment is exactly as described. Baby and parents slept in the lower bedroom. I slept on the pull out couch. The location provides everything you need and the neighbors are kind and helpful ( I have arthritis in my hands and was struggling to turn the key and a neighbor came by and asked if she could help. There is an Aldi shop and another grocery shop very near, fruit and the best fresh veggies ever. Chocolate store as well! Restaurants just a block away with all kinds of food. Easy pick up for transport, right in front of your door when you call. Wonderful!

Amazing location!

Great location fantastic host

I would highly recommend staying here. It is right off the Rue Cler market, and surrounded by great restaurants and easy access to transit. Vénie is a great host, you can’t go wrong!

We loved our stay!

Beautiful location & a perfect, clean cozy apartment to spend a week in Paris! The street adjacent to the one the apartment is located on is one of the cutest we came across the entire time we were there! The owner was wonderful and helpful. The small outdoor space was perfect to enjoy a glass of wine before we keft for the evening. We highly recommend staying ( it looked bigger to us then the photos displayed) Our teenage daughters, husband and myself give it 5 stars!

Sweet flat minutes from Eiffel

Sweet flat, fabulous location, just seconds from Rue Cler. Great patio & kitchen. Ladder & stairs are tiny but we managed well. Delightful!

Accomodating host/perfect location

Our host went out of her way to arrange for us to leave our luggage 5 hours early with no charge! Communication was always prompt and helpful. The flat was adorable and we loved our little courtyard. The neighborhood was just that, a true neighborhood, that wasn't totally packed with tourists and felt safe. Restaurants were great. Chef's kiss for this one!

Perfect! Our new place to stay in Paris

My husband and I have been to Paris many times. The 7th is our favorite area so we’re were delighted to find this little flat. Vénie has done an excellent job of describing the apartment, the pictures and description are apt. A few steps to the cafes and shops of rue Cler, moments walk to the Eiffel Tower and with easy access to the metro and easy pick up spots for taxi’s or Ubers you won’t find a better location. Vénie is a gracious and accommodating host. She was incredibly helpful before, during and after. Even before our arrival she was communicative, incredibly organized and truly caring. Don’t let the size deter you from staying!

Best location and best hostess

From our first inquiry to checking out, Venie was extremely responsive, kind, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had the best time. I traveled with my sister (both in our 30s) and mom for mom’s 70th. The space was so well stocked but even better was the location. Around the corner from the metro and around the corner from Rue Cler, the CUTEST street with so many cafes and shops. Venie acted as a concierge and helped us with transportation, recommendations and even was so thoughtful to leave mom a nice gift for her Birthday. We truly didn’t spend much time at the flat since we were out and about. I did like that the toilet and shower room were separate as well. Helped with getting ready. The stairs going down to the bedroom and ladder going up to the loft were described accurately (narrow and not for claustrophobic people!) Would HIGHLY recommend!

Cozy Apartment in ideal location

Vénie was extremely helpful in all aspects of our visit. So much of what we wanted to do was within walking distance of location. There is a Metro stop just a short walk from apartment.

Wonderful flat in great location…

Four minute walk to Ecole-Militaire metro station and steps away from numerous restaurants and bars. And ten minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower. This flat is super clean, well-appointed and perfect for 2-3 people. If we come back to Paris, we’ll stay here again!

Wonderful apartment in great location!

This was my family's first visit to Paris and we had a perfect stay in Vénie's apartment. It was one of the cleanest places we've stayed in and was just as described in the listing. Vénie was an amazing and responsive host. The location was also fantastic, with Rue Cler just around the corner with many delicious food options. We will definitely try to book here again when we return to Paris! We loved our stay here!

The perfect location!

A charming property in the perfect location. Amazing restaurants and the Eiffel Tower are walking distance. Just around the corner are multiple patisserie and boulangeries. Our host was very helpful and the flat contains whatever you need if you plan to do your own cooking. Highly recommend it!

Amazing location and great place!!

Very cozy, great place. It was a wonderful experience for our family of 4. We had space for our 2 kids and a separate place for the adults! It was amazing to walk out the door and we in the middle of the city. The host was extremely responsive. We greatly enjoyed the location and our time in Paris. Highly recommended!!

Great location for first time in Paris!

I travelled with my son and his girlfriend who will be moving here with the goal of exploring the city. Venie was a charming hostess and the location couldn’t be better-with every shop and restaurant you need just around the corner and close to the metro. It worked fine for the three of us who spent most of our time out and about - it is cozy and make sure you are comfortable with a small space if you are traveling with others. Thanks for giving me a lovely intro to Paris!

This was our first trip to France (me, my wife, and our two adult kids). Booking online in a new country was stressful, and I know I missed numerous details. In hindsight, this apartment was probably the best choice of all the MANY units we researched.Location: As good as it gets, 15–20 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, and one minute in any direction to plenty of food. Grocery stores five minutes away.Basement bedroom: Comfortable/small but down a narrow, switchback staircase. Not ideal for bigger people or anyone with mobility issues. The bed is against two walls, so one person may have to climb over the other to get out. No door at the top or bottom of the stairs. From certain spot could see the lower half of the bed. Hung towel on railing, which blocked most of the light and view.Loft bed: Up a ladder above the bathroom and toilet (two separate rooms). Our 20-something daughter was fine with it, but it isn’t completely private.Living room sleeper: Our son used the fold-out chair/sofa. When unfolded, it mostly blocks the door to the patio. That said, the patio itself is an amazing feature, and none of the other units we looked at had one.The lightweight folding wooden chairs (inside and on the patio) worked fine, though at 220 lbs I sat carefully.All of that may sound like drawbacks, but the place worked really well for us. The price and location were excellent! Unit was well maintained. We’d stay again without hesitation.Owner was a gem.Tucson Arizona

Magnifique

Lovely flat with beautiful amenities and a gracious hostess. The location is fantastic with loads to eat, drink and see within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the courtyard and my son loved the loft bed. Pack light if you're staying in the bedroom - stairs can be a bit tricky with a bag. Enjoyed the towel warmer, thoughtful decorations and travel books. Venie is was graciously flexible with our arrival and departure. Read all of her instructions carefully - loads of info and well thought out but good to prepare ahead of time. Would love to stay again - a bientot!!!

Cannot beat the location!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. It was as advertised and exactly what we needed to facilitate a perfect trip to Paris with an 11 & 12 year old. Convenient jumping off point to walk the city or access the metro. At the end of a long day, no need to figure out dinner reservations or food for the next day with the incredible shops of Rue Cler outside your door. Eat in the private garden, pack a picnic or head to a local cafe. Easily walk to the parc every night to take in the twinkling lights. Vénie was communicative throughout the reservation process and our stay.

Incredible flat, incredible host

This flat is located nearly on the incredible Rue Cler, where you can find amazing shops and cafes, and near the Eiffel tower. The flat is clean and very comfortable. However, the most incredible aspect was the lovely host, Venie, who was very accomodating and friendly. She provided recommendations of local restaurants, and offered us to join with her and her friends and family for a pre-new years dinner. The flat was amazing, but the experience of meeting Venie and her friends was perfect! Couldn't recommend this listing higher!

A Very Special Place!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Venie's flat, and plan to stay again! The location is perfect, and the flat is comfortable, impeccably furnished, and well stocked. We particularly enjoy the private courtyard to hear the morning birds and sip wine in the evening. The kitchen has everything you need to make coffee/tea as well as to prepare a gourmet meal. Having the clothes washer was so convenient for our week's stay. We cannot thing of one thing that was not provided for our comfort. With all the conveniences of the Rue Cler just around the corner, and the Eiffel Tower, numerous Metro stations, and proximity to the river, the location could not be better. Venie is very prompt with communication and truly cares that her guests enjoy her lovely flat. Merci Beaucoup Venie!

This apartment could not be located anymore central. Rue Cler just at the end of the street and left. You can get everything you need. Cheese, pastry, wine, produce, chocolates and good restaurants. The Metro station super close. The hostess always prompt to return your messages. The apartment was fully equipped. Coffee, tea sugar, salt pepper. The tub was deep. Great soak after a hard day of site seeing. I highly recommend this apartment if you want to be central to everything.

Updated apartment in a great location.

Very handy central location. Short walk to Eiffel tower and many restaurants, and short rides to many museums and attractions. The apartment is updated and well decorated. The back patio is a bonus if the weather is good. The steps downstairs to the bedroom are very tight, so if you're not very coordinated, I'd look elsewhere. We were a couple with two kids. The teen slept in the loft, and the nine year old slept on the small foam mattress on the dining area floor. The washing machine worked, but we wished there was a dryer. Overall, for the price, location, and amenities we were very pleased. The owner was very clear in her instructions and responded promptly to questions.

オーナー : Vénie de Gineste

I am the editor-in-chief of a fashion trends magazine and have been receiving people at my place since 2015. I love it each day (and night :) and I do my best for my travelers. Some have become precious friends.
According to my travelers’ tastes, I might offer them a true taste of French life or leave them be happy and independent in our flat.
What has started as a hobby now yields a needed income. It’s not a full-time job, though. I’m not a hotel professional nor a hospitality robot. I expect Vrbo travelers to behave like guests.
The flat is incredibly well located and equipped. However I prefer hosting travelers who choose our property for its original decor and feel lucky to live amongst our remarkable pieces of Vintage Modern furniture.
I’m happy to provide tips and recommendations. Please feel free to ask me for help or info.

The building has been erected by my two-times-great-grandfather in 1895. He was a very modern aristocrat, an Eiffel tower fan and fought against the Philistines who wanted to destroy "her" (she is a feminine figure in our eyes). We know the history of this piece of land since before the revolution. It came in the family with a dowry. Its riches were the spring, where now there is the fountain. The flat history embraces four centuries, it's fascinating.

The patio is an unique feature. Not even 7 properties in our very chic neighbourhood can claim such a feature, and none for rental. The walls are very thick and conserve the heat or the freshness well, allowing to use the patio from February until October. The natural air ventilation is very effective during the Summer. This is a little flat for history buffs and distinguished people. Please don't book it if you're just looking for a place to crash. It has its quirks, its narrow stairs, its steep ladder. It's not for everybody.
