Weekend Getaway

This charming older style property is much nicer than the photo show. We loved the interior styling as well which was eclectic retro meets laid back bach. Great relaxing place with gorgeous native birds and a lovely wetland outlook. Lots to do nearby. Would highly recommend this bach.

Relaxing ,peaceful stay.

Was awkward to open lock on gate, but once in,the house was well off main road,so lovely and quiet. We were so fortunate with the weather and just enjoyed relaxing in the sun. Well equipped, comfortable,close proximity to fantastic beaches.

Perfect weekend getaway

We stayed here for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spa pool was great and house is close to beaches. Outdoor area is great. We thought of doing BBQ on second day but it didn’t work properly so we had to get takeaway, luckily we checked bbq before buying meat. Other then that no complaints.

Fantastic place for family and freinds

Great property with plenty of space outside for family and friends to play and hang out , the kayaks had plenty of use as did the deck ( could probably do with a shade sail or large umbrella) . The property manager was extremely accommodating. And very easy to communicate with

Stunning location and property

We loved our stay at this wonderful house. The fun retro touches, the spa, the VIEW, the firepit, the privacy, the ability to bring our furry friend along - it was perfect. Beautiful spot

Lots of space. Great to have second lounge area for kids to hang out and beds for four kids in one room. Loved the spa. Few minutes drive to the cove - beach, dairy, cafe and restaurant. Comfy beds.

Simply brilliant

A charming house on a very spacious plot of land. Plenty of room for activities and very private. A lovely spa and outdoor fire pit perfect for the cool evenings. Top that off with a spectacular beach just over the dunes less than a 10 min walk away. Also close to waipu town centre and mcleods brewery. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely Place to Get Away

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young kids) stayed here with another couple and we had such a nice time. The property was easily big enough for all of us, there are tonnes of beds and large living spaces. The kitchen is fantastic and had a huge range of basic spices etc as well as all the pots, pans, plates, you could need. We stayed during the floods and the property manager was in constant contact to make sure we were OK and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again

Great family time

It was all about being with the family and this is a great place to be able to do this. The kitchen has heaps of room and bench space for all to help out. Nice big dining table for all to sit around. Good having the separate tv room so the boys could watch the tv while the girls played RummyO. Not far at all to Waipu Cove or Waipu itself. Overall a great place to hang out. Awesome looking out over the water and up to Bream Rock. Lovely and quiet.

Perfect location - well equipped property

It was a clean and well-equipped property. The jacuzzi was a delight - sitting in the warmth and viewing a breathtaking night sky (we were blessed with 2 clear nights in a place with minimal light pollution). Close to all forms of water - beaches and estuary as well as a variety of restaurants and cafes in Waipu and Waipu Cove. The bed was extremely comfortable and the fans appreciated as well as the TV with a range of viewing when the weather wasn't great. I don't want to rave too much in case it becomes unavailable but a great location for a beach holiday!

Perfect for families of all ages!

This property had me planning a second stay - this was a short one with two 18 year old uni students who had no trouble soaking up everything that's on offer here: from the back lawn you can kayak or paddle on a surfboard down the estuary to the ocean for a swim or a surf; fshing is another option. The house is a spacious, perfectly set-up and well-equipped villa (extra large and efficient hob and oven). Huge lawn areas sutable for every type of outdoor sports, games and activities make the property perfect for all ages. Take your binoculars too, sitting on the back deck and watching the bird life in the estuary wetland is a great way to soak up the stillness and tranquillity (no traffic noise) this special house and location offer.

Perfect Escape

We had a blast. The property was immaculately presented and just as advertised. The spa pool was absolute bliss in the evenings and the kayaks were a blast. Although we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit we will definitely be toasting some marshmallows next time. Wifi was fast and easy to connect to and the smart TV made the evenings easy. A massive range of DVDs and books if you would rather though. The takeaways in Waipu were delicious. Best Wontons I've had in years. I highly recommend.

Tranquil setting with amazing views that creates the perfect place to relax!

Absolutely loved this property! Location is perfect, and setting is outstanding. Really close to Waipu Cove beach and surf. Amazing to be able to stroll down to the river and paddle around in the estuary, across to the dunes and beach. Spa on the front deck was outstanding! We cannot wait to go back.

Great spot to stay

Excellent Bach. Highly recommend. We picked it for the teenagers and the spa pool, internet and kayaks made it perfect for our teenagers. The view is fantastic and there is masses of bird life in the garden and river behind the property to watch from the spa. Pristine beaches a plenty either a wade or kayak across the river or a 2 minutes drive to waipu cove or a few more onto langs beach.

We are a small family (much bigger when the extended family comes to stay).
We love the beach and wanted to give our son the chance to be safe to roam and build memories.
We love staying at our home, but love to share it too.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

That's such an easy question. We were married in Waipu Cove in 2007. Just down the road. So the location already meant so much to us.

When we bought the land, we had no house or landscaping, so our first years were spent planting trees and renovating the house we relocated to the land from Te Aroha.
We still haven't finished renovating, and we would love to have a new bathroom soon, but we think the house works well.

We love the area, and proximity to Auckland (Close to 1.5 hours with the new motorway - eat that Coromandel). Over the years we have really seen such a change in Waipu. Great Cafe's opening, fabulous new stores, excellent markets, and old favourites like the Pizza Barn and the antique shops. It's just getting better and better.
