The ocean view tiny house was just a described! It was organized and tidy which is perfect for a Tiny House. It has character, a beautiful garden, peaceful and quiet while looking out to the ocean. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful with the house and suggestions for places to go for a walk and experience the beach and city. It was a wonderful place to stay! We loved Christchurch. We did the Christchurch Sightseeing Pass. Totally worth it. Hop-on hop-off tram, punting on the Avon and gondola ride with a magnificent view! If there's two of you visiting Christchurch, stay at the tiny house and enjoy everything around the area!

Cozy & peaceful tiny house by the sea!

We had such a wonderful stay at Hamish & Ronene’s tiny house. Such a cozy, peaceful and warm refuge during the wintertime. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, watching the sunrise from the loft bed (super comfy!) and relaxing on the couch with the sun streaming through the window. The tiny house is in an unreal location - a short walk down to both Sumner and Taylor’s Mistake on beautiful trails. Hamish & Ronene are so lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly recommend!

Great little space

Fantastic little tiny home, a quiet space close to coastal walks with fantastic views.Loved that it was out of the hustle and bustle of the mainncity but easy access to Sumner Beach cafes and east drive iver the hill to Littleton.

What a gem

This accomodation is absolutely terrific. It's small, yes. But it has absolutely everything you need and is very cozy. Haemish couldn't have been a better and more welcoming host. I would stay again without hesitation.

Enjoyed our Stay

We loved our stay in the little house. Even though compact, the house was well equipped for a short stay, the bed in the loft very comfortable, and the shower was lovely and hot. Hamish is a kind and accommodating host, responsive to any need. We enjoyed our walk along the cliffs, too, and visit to town.

Very nice tiny house

The stay was lovely. The tiny house is in the garden of the owners house, well equipped and clean with a perfect view on the bay area / sunrise. Just bear in mind, that you have to climb up some steps to get into bed.

Great place for us

Hamish was friendly, helpful and a gracious host. We appreciated the suggestion of dinner option at a local fish and chips place where we ended up eating both nights we were there, delicious.The gardens were beautiful and the tiny house was exactly as we pictured it. The views from the bedroom window could not be better, one of the best sunrises we have ever seen.

CUTE COMFY TINY HOUSE

Fantastic wee home, close to awesome cafes & walks & beaches. So neat. Mattress a little firm for my liking but that is only a personal preference as opposed to a negative comment. Well appointed & just fun! Hamish was lovely. Their home/property beautiful. Definitely recommend for a fun getaway👍

We are a semi retired couple who have travelled extensively and now enjoy sharing our unique property with others

Our cliff top location allows extensive views of the ocean and walking tracks to 3 beautiful swimming beaches. Kohanga tiny house is nestled at the bottom of our extensive organic garden.
Access if via a side gate. It is only a 20 minute walk to Sumner village where there are numerous cafes, eateries, shops, bars, supermarket, library and movie theatre.
The Purple Bus runs (every 15mins during peak hours) to Christchurch city and the airport.
