Peaceful Guest Unit

This is a one room, one full bath detached unit with a private entrance. Its small but has the basics. It has a counter top, mini fridge, microwave, two comfy chairs as seen in photo, a comfy queen bed, and comes with a Keurig stocked with cups and powdered milk. There is not a tv due to the space. Its a safe and quiet place to rest for travelers. Wifi has been sufficient to stream on your own personal devices.

About the area: Charming and full of character, located in the Park at Lake Highland Neighborhood. This 1920s property hosts a rear guest house for visiting guests. This area is surrounded with hundreds of restaurants within walking distance of 1 mile vicinity. It is an excellent place to walk or bike to many of the local nooks such as Mills 50, Ivanhoe Village, Thorton Park, Lake Eola and College park. Rated #1 neighborhood in Central Florida.


Just walked down the historic brick path onto the patio that leads to the guest house. There is a side yard with a chimnea fireplace they can also be used with caution. There is an oak tree swing that is pretty to use it anytime of day.

Commonly asked questions:
-2 people cannot stay here long term, it is too small.
-No there is not a kitchen, it does have mini fridge and microwave.
-NO PETS, dont ask.
-Unit has separate detached entrance from main home.
-Absolutely no smoking of any kind.
-Discounts are built in.
-There is not any room for a tv so laptops for netflix are encouraged should you desire.

There definitly is room for a tv. Needs to be added. Great for a short stay.

Property was very nice. Location excellent and easy to get to. Need to add hand towels to towels. Rearrange glass table and a tv would fit. Bathroom was very clean and good size.

Perfect for my needs!

This is such a wonderful private space in a fantastic neighborhood downtown. I visit family 3 or 4 times a year. Unfortunately one is very ill. This is less than 2 miles away. It has everything I need in a private studio. The outside space gives me privacy and space to unwind.

Quiet nice neighborhood

This property was perfect for my business trip. The unit is small but it was comfortable for a short stay. You can walk to some restaurants nearby and it’s situated in a very eclectic “old Orlando” that offers a variety of foodie experiences.

Cute and Comfortable

It was very comfortable in a nice, quiet neighborhood and exactly what we needed. We weren't planning on cooking, so it didn't matter that there was no kitchen. The mini fridge and microwave were all we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

The best place while visiting family

This property was the best and I’ll definitely be back. I visit with family nearby two or three times each year. This is the best place by far. I will be trying to book every time I make a trip in the future.

can be tough stree parking if you are not used to it

no outside area to use to enjoy, since yard is not in good conditions with wood products all over, as tho 'in construction'... even swing shown in photo is no longer available. Small place, which is accurate, but electrical outlets and switches have seen much better days, eapecially in the bathroom: they need attention. No way to turn on single floor lamp, so the overhead celing lights are about all you have. Chairs are nice to have, with a few small side tables, but the bedside needs someplace on both side to hold phone, etc. While there is no TV, we brought our own. There could be made a place for one, especially if mounted on a wall to save space. Biggest downside is the Very OLD and high wall-mounted AC unit, Right Above The Bed. It is way too loud when 'Bumping' loud on and off very few minutes, It needs the owner's attention. My advice to ALL owners is to STAY several overnights in your own guest rental to 'see' what your customer's will see.
