Sitting on the canal with the striking views from morning 'till night and the best beach accesses 16 & 17 directly across the street, Drift House will be your dream home away from home! Nestled amongst towering palms and some of the most beautiful live oak trees, this 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home is perfect for you. Recently updated with new interior, double sitting area, kitchen, wet bar and dining area, baths, deck, screen porch, and dock. Cathedral ceilings in this reverse floor plan give an open feel to the common areas. Enjoy the screen porch as you watch the dolphins and birds play in the canal. Crab and fish off your private dock. Enjoy the huge deck with the gas grill in the evenings.

In the best location on the island, Drift House is less than a four minute walk to the Fripp Island Club - its pools, dining facilities, tennis and pickleball courts.

Beautiful nature all around you, mesmerizing canal views, and that easygoing Lowcountry vibe - all just steps from the beach. With the same delightful breeze. You will not want to leave!

The Fripp Island Club and its facilities were recently acquired by new ownership, who are making substantial improvements around the island. They have placed a brand new 12.8% tax on all rentals for which amenity cards will be purchased. We have had to adjust our prices upward in order to pay that tax. If you are interested in renting without the purchase of amenity cards, we would be happy to adjust the daily rates accordingly downward.

We include a golf cart with all weekly rentals.

Perfect place to stay on Fripp

This home is delightful, all details were exactly as pictured and described. Extremely clean, well appointed and well stocked, and perfect location on the island. Our group of 4 adults and 5 children ages 10-13 had the perfect week. Highly recommend!

Amazing 2023 Fripp Trip

A fantastic property on Fripp! Well cared for and very family friendly. Close to everything on the island…beach, pools and activities. Our kids loved fishing off the canal dock, caught several fish, as well as a sting ray :0 Peter was great to work with. Highly recommend this property!!

Location location setting!!!

The home is beautiful and well appointed with all the desired kitchen stuff and tons of seating inside and out. The yard and dock off the back was put to great use, fishing and relaxing in the hammock and we spent a LOT of time on the screen porch. Close to amenities yet feels private with beautiful trees and foliage-great bird watching-gorgeous! Beds are all very comfortable! Peter was very responsive and a great host!

We loved Drift House!

Our family would highly recommend Drift House. It had everything we needed for our family of 6 adults and 4 children under 8 years old. We ate in most meals and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect! It's a short walk to the beach, one of the pools and to get ice cream. :) It's a short walk to the pickleball courts which we also enjoyed using one evening. We also enjoyed the spacious yard and having a canal in our backyard. Our 8 year old grandson lowered a crab trap into the water from the floating dock and checked on it no less than 10 times a day. Every day he caught something and his excitement was priceless. He and his dad spent time fishing off the dock as well. We rented bikes and the trails make it safe for young children so a family bike ride to the playground was a lot of fun. While the one pool is walkable, the other one we took the golf cart while some rode bikes. It's a little too far for young children but an easy ride for adults. Probably the best room in the house, in my opinion, is the large screened in porch. It was fun to sit out there and eat meals...and the table was big enough for all 10 of us to sit around....and watch the deer walk by in the morning and evenings. We hope to return to Fripp Island and Drift House would be our top choice when it comes to accommodations. I must also mention Peter was the best host. I had numerous questions prior and after booking and he graciously replied to each and every email. Thank you once again for letting us use your home, Peter. We made countless memories to look back on for years to come.

Fantastic Stay

What a great home to spend a week with family in. The home was spacious and very clean. The screened back porch was wonderful. It had a great view and we spent time every day enjoying it. We cooked most nights and the Kitchen was well appointed. And if you want to walk to the beach, the location was perfect. And while we didn’t have any issues during the stay, Peter was still in contact to make sure our week went right. I would highly recommend.

Best location

My family enjoyed our stay at the Drift House. It is located on the best part of the island and is tucked back off the road for privacy. The home is well appointed and Peter was wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend this lovely home!

Beautiful Home

You know what I loved about our stay - it was effortless luxury. The screened porch, dock, and backyard was one of the best we’ve ever seen at Fripp. Beautiful decor, plenty of entertaining areas, the beds and linens were top-notch, very clean, and it felt as if we were staying at a five star resort. The house is located on the canal and is a perfect spot for fishing, very quiet area , yet across the street from a beach access, close to the marina, and other amenities. Peter was a wonderful host, he was quick to respond to my questions, made checking in an absolute breeze, and was very thoughtful with welcome gifts.

Exceeded Expectations!

We had an absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving week at the Drift House. The house was so clean, very well equipped and the location could not have been better. Peter was so great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our week. I will definitely looking to stay at this wonderful home again in the very near future. By far the best home we have rented in a long time! Can't wait to go back!

Best Stay!

This is probably the best property we have stayed at so far on Fripp!! The owner, Patrick, was so helpful and went above and beyond checking to make sure we were enjoying our started! The house was very clean and well equipped! The location is perfect too- walking distance to great beach access, the main resort area (where there is pools shopping and food), and on the marsh! We had a wonderful time crabbing and fishing off the dock! Also, we left something and he was so helpful in making sure we got it back! Highly recommend this property!!! Thanks for a wonderful week!

Wonderful!

We’ve been coming to Fripp for 16 yrs and stayed all over the island. Many our cramped and need a facelift but Drift house is a rare jem!! Location is perfect and it’s very quiet despite being close to the main road. House is perfect for families, with the back porch being our main hang out. Peter was by far the best host we have ever experienced. Thank you for sharing Drift house with us!

Fripp week

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a great stay at the Drift house. It was the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving, surrounded by nature. The home offered many places to gather, indoors and out. We walked or biked everywhere we wanted to go. Cooked all meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Great fishing from the dock!! From ages 9 to 67, we all loved our time there. Peter was an excellent host, accessible and helpful for our first Fripp vacation!

Great family vacation!

We had the best time staying at Drift House! Peter was the best host answering all of our questions before we got there to help us pack appropriately, and even after we left, helping to coordinate getting an item back to us that we forgot. The house was stocked with helpful items we didn’t have to pack ourselves: beach towels, coffee, laundry and dish detergent, and basic cooking items like salt, pepper and olive oil. In addition, the beds were comfy, bathrooms clean and updated, and main spaces perfect for socializing. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect place for our family vacation!

We lived the open concept living area as it was perfect space for all to enjoy at the end of the day. The screen porch was excellent for outdoor dining or morning coffee. The beach access was easy and so close. The boys enjoyed fishing off the dock in the marsh. A good time was had by all.

Loved it!!

We were so pleased with everything about this property and it’s owner that we will definitely come back again! I read reviews ahead of time and I must say that all of the praise Peter received prior was well deserved. He was so responsive to any needs or concerns. We were short two amenity cards for family that came later, and within minutes he made arrangements for us! What a pleasure to rent from such an accommodating owner. We found the home to be neat, clean, well stocked and with quality items throughout. What a wonderful vacation!

Another fabulous week at Fripp!

The home was beautifully appointed and well stocked. We appreciated the ‘goodies’ upon arrival. The owner was in constant contact with us and remedied any issues that arose. The extra refrigerator was a bonus....perfect for keeping all those drinks cold! My favorite time was spent on the porch watching the tide go in and our. The home is a perfect location. It’s close to everything yet sits far enough back from the road that you have privacy. Thanks Peter for sharing your home with us!

Fripp Island is an incredible nature preserve private island located between Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC; 1 hour from Hilton Head Island. The island is a private, gated resort community with 2 scenic championship golf courses (one a renowned Davis Love III Signature design), a tennis complex (clay, hardcourts, and pickle) and a variety of pool options including an ocean/marsh front complex housing and a heated pool.

Drift House is at the center of it all.
