This clean and modern, newly renovated studio has one King bed, 1 Bath, free-standing fireplace, and a full kitchen.

Pioneer Lodge is situated in the heart of Red River NM. 100 yards from the ski lifts, across the street from a convenient supermarket, Red River Brewing Company and many other restaurants. Steam Coffee shop is located on the premises, where you will find a gourmet assortment of coffees, smoothies, and delicious food options. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, outdoor grills, pond, and hot tub.

Beautiful Pioneer Room Lodge 3

The online photos of the room and outside property are embellished to say the least. The description of the room states no air conditioning but that there are two ceiling fans. True; however, the windows do not open and even if they did, there are no screens on the windows so we were unable to get any fresh air and the room was unbearably hot at night. Some of the other guests had the door to the room open to get any kind of air circulation. We know of at least two other guests who left early for the same reason. The lovely pond with "blue" water depicted in the photos is anything but lovely. The bathroom has been updated and the shower was nice enough if you enjoy cold water, but the toilet/sink are tiny like in a very small RV. We had booked two nights but stayed one. There is no information at all in the room as to how to access the hot tub, no hangers in the closet, and no place to keep your luggage other than on the floor. The kitchen was fine although the folks next to us said their 'fully furnished" kitchen had no plates or bowls. The rooms were clean and updated but the guts are still very old. It's just cosmetic and did not look like the photos! We were to empty the trash before leaving but there is no info as to where to take it. We have traveled around world, stayed places without air conditioning and never written a negative review. I would not recommend booking this property.

Pioneer Lodge

We had an excellent stay at Pioneer Lodge. Clean room, comfortable bed, centrally located, and a great view of the ski area, right outside the front door. We took our dog, and had no issues at all. They were very accommodating. The only thing that we wished it had was a table to eat at.

New Year Ski and Stay

Great location, newly renovated and right in the center of town. Owner also operates Steam Coffee right next to the establishment which provides guests free coffee and 10% discount on all purchases. There is a mini kitchen and local market (Der Markt) across to save on restaurant costs. Red River Ski is also less then 100-yds.

Great Experience

Had a great experience at the Pioneer. Location was great, room was clean and everyone was really friendly. Would come back again for sure.

Good Stay

We did not get an email that told us about checkin. But, we called and was given instructions. It went rather well from that point on.
