Beautiful and charming house with pool

This Monte is located on the Costa Vicentina, between Vila Nova de Milfontes, Almograve and Zambujeira do Mar. It has a total area of ​​380 m2, with a reserved quality and is inserted in a 2 hectare lot.
It is divided into three main spaces: the night house houses the four suites; in the day house, there is a living and dining room, a kitchen and a patio with a covered terrace. The third volume of the house houses the salt water pool and the jacuzzi. Accessible from all parts of the house, a large lawned garden ends in a vegetable garden, where fresh fruits and vegetables can be harvested daily.

Monte Azedão is in the heart of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, so it was crucial that we respect the very strict rules in its recovery. The option to use materials and techniques as well as traditional solutions from the local area was unquestionable. As well as the effort to make this space as welcoming, intimate and comfortable as possible. The wide mud walls make the house much more efficient than we are used to, but in the coldest days, the underfloor heating and the fireplace keep the house warm. Partially autonomous from an energy point of view, the self-sustained character of the development, which includes solar PV heating for bathing water, domestic waste treatment and drinking water treatment was a priority.

All rooms are ensuite and have a private patio with unique characteristics. Of the four suites, three have a double bed and one has two bunk beds (ideal for children). The day house has a dining room with a feature fireplace shared with the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living space has access to the covered terrace that seats ten people and has a barbecue and wood oven. The pantry contains an additional fridge and freezer. Everyday appliances such as washing machine and dishwasher are available to make life easier for those who cook or prepare meals.
