The high point of Cedar Crest Cottages, a historic vacation retreat nestled on forested grounds with filtered lake and mountain views, Steller’s Jay Cottage is a tranquil escape surrounded by towering cedars. The newly updated retreat comfortably sleeps up to four guests with flexible accommodations, making it ideal for a family or small group of friends.

The two-level cottage opens onto a spacious living area with hardwood floors, wood-paneled walls, picture windows and high ceilings. Two bedrooms, conveniently located on the lower level, feature king-sized beds, one that can be converted into two twin beds. Styled in simple, modern decor with plush bedding and twin nightstands, both bedrooms feature a picture window and wall-mounted TV. Black-out and sheer window coverings throughout allow for maximum privacy.

Guests share a newly remodeled bathroom with a step-in shower on the lower level, with a separate powder room on the main level for convenience and private washer and dryer, complete with complimentary laundry pods.

As a guest of Cedar Creek Cottages, you’ll enjoy access to a community BBQ grill and oversized fire pit with lake and mountain views. In the summer, stroll to the beach across the street for swimming, sailing and boating on the lake, or hike through the surrounding mountains. In the winter, drive less than two minutes to the family-friendly Homewood Mountain Resort, or just 25 minutes to the varied terrain of Olympic Valley. The restaurants, shops and entertainment of Tahoe City are also less than 10 minutes away.
