Beach, Rainforest, and Food

We had a fabulous stay at the whispering Palms! A very short walk to the beach. Centrally located for eating local foods and exploring the rainforest. The accommodations had all the basics. We really enjoyed the balcony and it’s convenience to a beautiful clean beach.

I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK!!!

Great communication with owner. Very clean condo. The property is located right on the beach and the condo is about 1 minute walk to the beach. The beach is clean, empty/quiet, and peaceful. I have nothing but good things to say and would definitely go back to this condo on a future PR trip.

Comfortable and convenient

We truly enjoyed our time at Whispering Palms! Our family of four traveled to Puerto Rico the first week of April and stayed 5 nights. The beds were very comfortable, the ac worked very well, and the unit was stocked with everything we needed. The complex is safe and quiet. It was very nice that the unit overlooks the pool. We had the beach and the pool all to ourselves. The beach is beautiful and very peaceful. The owners were so responsive and excellent at communicating all pertinent information. We would definitely stay here again

Amazing stay!

The host went above and beyond on this one! He was so responsive and I appreciated that he gave guidance on the area ahead of time. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer and water filter in the fridge. The condo is equipped with so much beach equipment as well! I’d highly recommend.

Great Stay!

The house has everything you need and the owner is very responsive. The beach is wonderful and the community is very safe. Location very close to great restaurants as well as El Yunque National Forest.

Perfect get away.

This location was clean, fully loaded with accommodations and accessories. The guest contact was responsive and knowledgeable. They leave brochures in the home for local attractions and even the rainforest zip line. We did not get to the rainforest but we will be back !

Hidden Gem in Rio Grande

Amazing, is all I can say. It is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan. The beach is a short walk from the property which my guests enjoyed. It was even fun with rain in the forecast, as the board games the host provided, kept us busy! I would definitely stay here again!

Great place for families close to a beautiful beach

We stayed for about a week with our kids 6 and 9. The beach is awesome with soft sand, warm water and tons of coconuts for the kids to play with. You have a huge beach to yourself with only 3-4 other guests. The whole condo complex and its pool was for ourselves too during weekdays. It gets busier on the weekends but not crowded at all. There are tons of restaurants and jungle and zipline activities around in the area. Definitely recommend for families.

A perfect spot for calm family getaway

We enjoyed out stay at the appartment a lot. If you are family with younger children that prefers to cook meals on your own and enjoy your dinner at the family dining table - this is a place for you. Fully equiped kitchen with EVERYTHING you might need, good size fridge and freezer, good overwiev of the pool area and clean and beautiful sand beach in a few minutes distance that most of the time is almost empty during weekdays. We wish good grocery and food the stores were closer, so car or Uber is a must to stay here. We will truly recommend this spot to everyone!

Great location with both pool & beach access

Stayed in property for 8 nights with my husband and 2 teenage kids. Was perfect for our needs. Close to great attractions in San Juan and beaches in Luquillo and Fijardo. Right by El Yunque entrance. We were able to easily take day trips and return to enjoy the pool and beach at the property in the afternoons. The couch pulls out for a bed which was very helpful because room with bunk beds is small. Would definitely return and stay here again. Property owner is very responsive to any questions.

Incredible Family Getaway

Our family (husband and 2 daughters) just returned from a wonderful vacation in Whispering Palm in Puerto Rico. This apartment was perfect for us, very clean, well maintained and had literally everything we could need and more. The balcony has a pool view and the beach is a very short walk away. The beds were comfortable and it was wonderful having a washer and dryer available, especially when traveling with kids. You get tremendous value and quality at Wispering Palms. The owner is extremely responsive and very accommodating. We truly appreciate his flexibility in accomodating a late check out for our family. My kids are already asking when we can return. It was an unforgettable vacation for our family, thank you so much!

Great Condo, Great Location!

This is my 2nd time in this little complex, so I already knew what to expect location wise & beach/scenery wise. Based on the photos and descriptions, I thought I knew what to expect condo wise. But, the details went above and beyond the photos and descriptions! The owners thought of and provided just about everything! Coffee, tea, sugar and creamer for the whole stay, an array of spices for cooking, all remotes for T.Vs, A.Cs and fans were clearly marked, and finally, a beach property that has enough hooks for towels and bathing suits!!! They had them in the shower, in the bathroom and on the balcony! Thank you! And, communication with the property manager was excellent! This is an older complex, but we love it; and I can't say enough nice things about this property. We will definitely be back!

Very nice apartment in quiet area

Everything was perfect with the apartment and the location. We wanted somewhere quiet to get away from the crowds and this was great for us. The bonus was having a beach cart to transport chairs, towels, cooler, and boogie boards (all of this was supplied in the apartment) the 5 minute walk to the beach. The only negative (outside of owner's control) was that the pool was out of commission the entirety of our stay. But my son and I were primarily there for the beach, so a small setback. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and the complex was moderately occupied and hardly occupied at all Monday - Thursday. The kitchen is very well stocked/outfitted and even had a really good spice selection (tough to find in most rentals). William sent us a lot of information about the area prior to our arrival and was quick to respond to my questions before and during our stay. For the beach, I would call this a "natural" experience. They don't remove seaweed from the beach in that area like they do in some resort areas. I was totally fine with that because of years spent at remote beaches on the California coast (kelp for miles). Just a heads up in case that sort of thing bothers you. The ocean/beach is good for swimming with kids older than toddlers due to slightly rough surf since it's on the Atlantic side of the island.

Great for the price point

We are a family of six, kids ages 3-10. The apartment has the basics and is overall clean, safe, organized, and comfortable. Provisions were a bit lacking considering the duration of our stay (1 roll of paper towels, 2 garbage bags for 10 days, no tea or creamer, very limited sugar and coffee) and there was no housekeeping (if you are accustomed to this on vacations). Bring or purchase a lime squeezer for mojitos; there is a blender for pina coladas. There is a beach cart, however with little kids I would’ve preferred a wagon. I would recommend bringing plastic/nonbreakable kid safe plates/bowls and your own snorkeling gear. The beach chairs provided are OK but everyone around us had folding Adirondack chairs which would’ve been personally preferred. The apartment deck view is of the pool but the complex has Mountain Views and is a bit of a walk to the ocean. The beach is beautiful with soft sand (water shoes not necessary) but unfortunately the shower for washing off the sand does not work well and there is no shower outside the apartment. The pool was perfect for the kids, bring their life jackets (and or floaties). Again the shower by the pool did not work well (drain clogged and very little water) and the bathroom is in the apartment. We lost water for 18 hrs but there is an emergency tank in the apartment with instructions on use. Shopping at the store near the apartment is convenient but a-lot more expensive than if you went to a local grocery or big box store a few more miles away. These things are just knit-picking but I thought the info might be helpful to others considering staying here. This is a beautiful location to pull out the hammock, relax under the beach umbrella, hunt for sea shells and sand dollars, and bond with the family. Overall I’d rate this experience a 4.8/5 and I would recommend this place to others.

Cozy apartment near the beach

Excellent location, near the beach, ideal for families. William was really nice and always available. The condo is in very good condition and very quiet. The swimming pool is also very nice and you can walk to the beach. The Luquillo kiosks are just a short drive and the road for the Yunque National Forest starts right where the main road is. We did our grocery at Famcoop and loved PR monfongos! Old San Juan, if you take the toll road, is about a 30 minute drive. It has been our second time in PR and we would love to come back.

Wonderful stay! Absolutely recommend!

We stayed here to attend a wedding in the area and to visit/support family after the latest hurricane. The space was accurately described in the posting. Prior to arrival we received many helpful communications with both the owner and management company. Check in was easy, a little bit of difficulty with GPS directions but quickly resolved. Apartment clean, stocked, well maintained, great AC, washer/dryer (+++++), coffee maker AND K cup machine, shops close, location great, pool available, grounds well maintained, walked to beautiful clean semi private beach every morning. We LOVED the veranda and spent mornings with cafe y pan sobao in the breeze and evenings with dessert and wine listening to coqui. Again wonderful time, highly recommend, would love to return if we come back to this side of the island, most family live on the west and south coast so we truly enjoyed this east coast visit, Horseback riding and ATV trip in el Yunque, trips to the kioskos de Luquillo, and all the amazing dining spots! Close enough for day trips to San Juan. Even the teens enjoyed the space! Thank you for the hospitality

The perfect getaway for a family with a young child

Our family stayed here for 5 days and the amenities and quiet community was perfect for our two year old. The condo was clean and there were so many comforts of home that we had access to as well as all the beach equipment you would want without the hassle of having to pack it all. Our two year old had the time of his life at the beach, which was a short walk from the condo and the pool. The location on the island also made it so easy for us to go on morning excursions to tourist attractions and make it back "home" in time to make dinner and spend the evening enjoying the beach. We also happened to stumble upon a starfish, sand dollars and a crab because the water was so clear and calm, which our son loved. It was exactly what we needed and hoped for. We plan to come back!

Viva La Puerto Rico

This location and unit was amazing. You truly have a private beach that only ever got busy on Sunday and Monday because of Memorial Day, and even then wasn't bad. This unit is a 2 bedroom but the second bedroom is very small but it has it's own AC so was perfect for kiddos. We had an issue with warm water but this was resolved ASAP as soon as we called about it.
