Literally steps to the ocean, this 4 bedroom 2 bathroom getaway has it all! The beach house has been recently renovated with brand new furnishings and a modern kitchen that comes fully equipped. Property has direct access to the water where you can spend hours swimming, beachcombing and relaxing. If the beach is more your style, a 4 to 5 minute walk down surf side lane will have you ready for a day of fun and sun.

We are located on a quiet cottage community off the main road offering amazing stargazing at night. Relax in the screened in sunroom during the evenings as you overlook the ocean and take in amazing sunsets.

Some of the islands best coastal drives are within easy driving distance and nearby communities Morell and Mount Stewart offer bakeries, trail walks, kayak and bicycle rentals, fresh local seafood and restaurants.
Golfers: The Links at Crowbush Cove is a top rated Canadian golf course and is a short drive from the cottage.

Wake up to the sun rising out of the ocean, watch the fishing boats making their way out of the nearby harbour and enjoy all this beautiful island has to offer.

**We are excited to be listing a new paradise in early 2026 - Island Tide Bay House: A newly built 2 bed 2 bath spacious and modern retreat nestled on St. Peters Bay! All the amenities of our beach house and an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts.

Overall experience was tremendous. The beach house and location is picture perfect. We loved waking up early for a sunrise and starting our day with serene views. The sunsets were breathtaking, the colours were amazing. The house is well stocked, clean, comfortable and beautiful water views. We will return and hopefully stay longer. Thanks, Doug

Stunning sunrises, sunsets and stars right on the ocean. We were fortunate enough to capture northern lights in some night images. Being “shoulder season “ it was eerily quiet, except for the ocean’s sounds…it was soul soothing. The layout of the house was perfect. We had everything we could have possibly wanted and were perfectly comfortable. The local people were delightful and food options were plenty. We absolutely loved PEI and Island Tides.

Beautiful location

Excellent ocean front location, very comfortable beds, nice welcome gift, lovely ocean side deck, has everything you need for a great getaway. We were 5 adult friends and the space just fit us. Perhaps couples could have up to 8. Beautiful beach for walking and gorgeous sunsets. We would definitely return to this gorgeous spot!

A relaxing getaway in a perfect location for exploring eastern PEI.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. There was plenty of room for all four of us. The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed, and it was just a short drive away to Morrell to pick up a few groceries. We loved our morning walks on the beach, and it was wonderful to fall asleep whilst listening to the ocean waves. The cottage is located just a short drive from PEI and is a great base while exploring the eastern part of the island. We especially loved the sunroom and are already planning our trip next year.

Loved this beautiful Truly Ocean front cottage

Thanks so much for the great stay. We came with adult kids and the place was perfect. Puzzles, books and lots of space for everyone to find their comfortable nook. Very relaxing, all you could need for a wonderful stay was available. Loved the walks along the beach. Highly recommend and hope to come back .

Beautiful Waterfront Cottage

Beautiful Location

Such a beautiful spot right on the water. The kids enjoyed climbing down on the rocks right in front of the cottage to look for shells and critters. A sandy beach is just a 5min walk away. The beach is nice and shallow for little ones. We loved every minute of it!

Most memorable stay right on the ocean

We stayed at Doug’s in Savage Harbour and discovered another part of PEI and had a great time with our four children! The house is on the ocean and the beach at a 5 minute walk is wonderful and not crowded. We really loved the intimacy so close to charlottetown. We biked along the trail in Mt Stewart only 10 minutes away! We hope to come again soon!

Sun, Sand and Water

Four friends reconnected from Alberta & New Brunswick for a wonderful stay at the cottage. Decor, view and well equipped accommodations made our stay so much fun. Mornings on deck with coffee looking out onto the water was a favourite. Could have used more toilet paper for 4 people, lol. Overall, highly recommend this Cottage.

Wonderful beach house

We had a wonderful time at the rental. Its waterfront property gives you a beautiful view of the water and famouse PEI red sands. Its a quaint cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, sunroom, deck with chairs, kitchen area and laundry in the house as well. Its a quick 30 minute drive to Charlottetown, and fairly close to other areas to explore. Would definetly stay there again. Its a quiet area to. No loud neighbours or partiers.

We stayed at Doug’s cottage for 2 weeks. He is an awesome host; very accommodating, super nice guy and great communications. The cottage couldn’t be any closer to the water, with an amazing view. We loved seeing the ocean every morning from our bedroom window. We also enjoyed the beautiful and quiet beach mins away. The cottage was clean upon arrival and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Just a couple things to note/heads up- the beds have wooden footboards that stick out beyond the mattress. Many of us actually injured our legs bumping into the edge while navigating around the beds and while trying to turn off/on the fan or light The ensuite bathroom had low water pressure and we often ran out of hot water but we did take back to back showers with 4 kids. Overall, it was a good cottage with a beautiful view.

On the ocean

Great time! The cottage is right on the water. Its layout was perfect for a family. The master bedroom was set up to allow for a totally separate room and bath for grandparents...a family room area ...and at the far end a sunroom that again allowed for sperate activities. The 7 people in our group all had plenty of room and were able to do symotanious quite and group actvities. Everyone had what they needed.🙂 The location allowed us to easily access some of the best beaches on the island when we weren't enjoying the beach we were on. Definitely would book again!

Overall we very much enjoyed our week at this well designed and appointed cottage. We knew before arriving that the grounds had not been fully restored post hurricane, which was fine. We were disappointed that a pile of soil was directly in front of the view from the deck. We very much appreciated the extras available in the shed. Thanks, Doug!

Wonderful location for a relaxing vacation!

We were 2 couples staying at the cottage, and we enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the deck watching ospreys and great herons catch their dinner, and seals hanging out off shore. Although there are a lot of cottages in that area, it was really quiet and peaceful. There is a nice beach only 5 minutes away by foot, and you can actually walk back to the cottage at low tide. Although the waterfront in front of the cottage is rocky, you can walk a long way when the tide is out. I’ve stayed in many properties over the year, and this was by far the best all around equipped property. Communication with the owner was excellent; he answered all our questions promptly. He also fixed a deficiency with the bbq quickly, so our cooking plans weren’t affected al all. Overall a great stay.

Summer 2023

This is our second summer in a row staying in this beautiful cottage! It is centrally located to be able to take a short drive on either point! Awesome restaurants nearby ( blue mussel ) in north rustico our personal favourite! Piatto pizzeria in charlottown another favourite! We all had lighthouse legs as we tried to visit as many as we could.. Doug is amazing and goes beyond to make sure you have a fantastic vacation! We were sad to see how much of the shoreline was lost with hurricane Fiona…the front is a work in progress and understandably so…didn’t change the fact that we will forever love this cottage…the beach is a very short walk away…sunsets almost nightly. The morning we left there were 3 adorable seals bobbing close to the shore… almost like they were saying goodbye 💙 We highly recommend this cottage..

Un beau coin de l’Ile-du-Prince-Édouard

Nous avons bien aimé séjourner à Savage Harbour! Nous avons une vue directe sur la mer, la plage est accessible à pieds et l’hôte s’assure que tout se passe bien. Passe Parc Canada fournie ainsi que chaises et parasol! On est un peu éloignés des grands centres mais c’est tout de même accessible dans un temps raisonnable (30 minutes). Nous recommandons cet endroit!

Hurricane Fiona

I left 5 star ratings for everything even though we didn’t get to stay here because VRBO won’t let me leave a review without rating our “stay”. I really wanted to leave this review because of how wonderful Doug was to deal with both before our scheduled visit and after we had to cancel. We were supposed to arrive for our visit the day that Hurricane Fiona swept through Atlantic Canada. We ended up having to cancel our stay because of the storm. I just wanted to say how wonderful Doug was in handling everything regarding our reservation cancellation and refund. He obviously had much more important matters to worry about but still handled our questions quickly and professionally. I look forward to staying here some day in the future.
