Cleanliness let the place down
My sister & I decided to have a mini getaway in Blairgowrie. It was a quiet location, but I think we’d choose a little closer to the beach & shops next time.
When we arrived at the house, our first impression was that it was tastefully decorated & appeared to have all that we needed. After a closer look, we realised how dirty it was. There were stains on the couch (covered with a throw rug), stains on the dining chairs & the house looked like it was desperate for a thorough clean.
When we went to bed, the pillow slips had marks on them & upon further inspection we noticed that the pillows were filthy. We were so disappointed!
At one stage I dropped an earring & then found it under the bed. I wouldn’t normally have looked under the bed, but I was disgusted to see how filthy the floor was. I don’t think it had been vacuumed for months.
On another note, we were surprised that there was no folder or even letter to explain how to operate anything in the room.
As neither of us had used an induction stovetop before, we had to Google what to do. (Didn’t realise that it needed the pot on the stovetop in order for it to work!) There were no instructions for the coffee machine either. Most places have numerous booklets in a kitchen drawer just in case! Couldn’t believe there were no teabags nor long life milk provided.
They also claimed to have Internet, however we were unable to access this.
Don’t recommend this place!
