Hi Everyone - we are SUPERHOSTS on Air B&B and excited to now be on VRBO!!!

Enjoy some serious R&R with expansive 180 degree views of Rice Lake and Trent River!

Our fully renovated 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom year-round cottage sits on a half-acre lot with great privacy and beautiful south-western exposure. The retreat features 125 feet of private water frontage and is only 1 mile to the Village of Hastings for easy access to groceries, restaurants and more!

Did we mention the tremendous sunsets???

Enjoy all that the Kawarthas have to offer with your family this year!

Bring your own boat (or rent ours!) to enjoy 40 miles of lock-free boating….you can boat all the way to Peterborough if you choose!

The cottage features 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom and was extensively renovated over the course of 2017. It is fully insulated for year round use and is truly one of a kind!

Enjoy all that the Kawarthas have to offer with your family this year!

Relax! - That’s why you are at the cottage! Some R&R is certainly on the menu!
Swim! - Weed-free area directly around the dock provides swimming for all ages
Fish! - Hastings was voted “Canada’s Ultimate Fishing Town” and is a great place to fishing for a variety of species – many of them right off the dock!
Boat! – A 12’ fishing boat (9.9 HP motor) is available to rent for daily/weekly rates….or bring your own boat!
Walk/Cycle! – The “Lang Hastings Trail” is a great path for walking and cycling…and it runs directly behind the property!
Golf! – Oakland Greens Golf Club only 6 KM north of the property. Several other courses within 20-30 mins!
Snowmobile / ATV! – The “Lang Hastings Trail” provides access to trails all across the province!
Explore! – Hastings is bordered by two counties – Northumberland County and Peterborough County. There are literally hundreds of things to do and places to explore all within a 60 minute drive!

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The beds were comfortable, the interior was very modern with all the amenities you would need, and out back you could sit under the trees with a nice breeze from the river. We were able to use the kayak and paddle boards and the water was nice and smooth. Would definitely recommend this place.

Home Sweet Home

This was our second time visiting. From the moment you walk in the door. It smells wonderful. Very clean. Everything you need is there. Listen for the sound of a loon and settle in for a relaxing stay.

Incredible views! Little chilly in April, but hope to go back during the warmer weather. The owners seem incredible and easy to reach if you have a question or concern.Definitely hope to stay here again

A February cottage stay requires a good fire and lots of wood..This had both.

We came to rest, to read and to unwind. It was perfect for our needs. Some good walking as well.

A great getaway!

My husband and I spent the Family Day long weekend in this cottage. We've been feeling burnt out lately and needed to just get away and rest. This cottage was everything we needed. It was the perfect size, had everything we needed and was very cozy. We had plans to take some winter walks, but really just enjoyed staying inside reading by the fire. We did end up going to a nearby skating rink which was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again and see it in all the other seasons. Winter was a great choice though!

Very nice and peaceful.

The property was well maintained inside and out.Nature is in full bloom and we saw a variety of Birds and other animals. We are thinking of booking in the fall. I enjoyed the time i spent there.

Excellent location, close to downtown Hastings. Beautiful spot on the river. Very comfortable accommodations and tastefully decorated. Very good communication overall.

Good R and R

Lovely updated cottage with all amenities . Very quiet and picturesque setting. Would highly recommend this cottage for a couples’ shared stay. We are an pre- retired city couple and even though we had a relaxing time , it was too much of a bugs life for us !

A special time for us at a special place

We had a lovely stay at the cabin for a long overdue dad/daughter trip we try to do annually. We traveled from Florida and Chicago to spend some time in Toronto and then a few days on the beautiful Trent River. I have stayed at my share of VRBO’s but this one is one of the better of many. It is on a great property with a magnificent view, great waterfront, dock, plenty of outdoor seating along with kayaks and canoes if you are up for water sports or fishing. Inside the cabin is wonderfully decorated and accessorized. Great kitchen to cook in and a family room with woodburning stove as well. Plus a Fender acoustic guitar if you are worthy of some string time. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable with good beds and linens-- and if you have little ones, the one bedroom has bunk beds and plenty of toys and games to keep active ones happy. A covered sand box outside with fun toys is a real plus. My only regret is we didn’t book more time here but a date in the near future is coming soon. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Family getaway

Our family stayed for 4 days in summer- the cottage is really well appointed and we had absolutely everything we needed- even a playpen and chair for our baby! The property is perfect with lots of green space, chairs, loungers and areas for kids and adults alike. We did a lot of swimming and if you take the paddle board out it is perfect. We loved it and the hosts were so so nice and communicated really well. Highly recommend!!!

Great location and updated cottage property!

This cottage is well appointed, comfortable and there are thoughtful touches throughout - exactly as profiled. Lots of windows, decent dock and a great selection of outdoor seating lets you enjoy the waterfront from wherever you are. It's a pleasant walk or moderate paddle into Hastings. Hosts were very responsive. Simply a great, modernized cottage on the Trent.

Thanks for the lovely stay

The directions to the property and checking in were perfect. The property is right on the water so we could drink our coffee and watch the geese and mist in the morning. The cottage is nicely set out and it had everything that you would need. It was comfortable. Thanks for a great stay.

Great stay

We stayed at this property in early Oct. Property and Grounds were exactly as pictured in profile. Correspondence with host were easy and timely. House had all items one would need for their stay. Very nice dock with great views onto the lake. Lots of windows for great views from inside the house. The Weather wasn’t nice enough to take advantage of the water recreation items provided. Outdoor lighting was good for taking or dog out and night. Although there is no TV, good WIFI is provided, so just be prepared to entertain yourselves with non-TV activities. Hay, your on vacation do something different right. We would definitely recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay at the beautifully updated cottage on the Trent! The cottage has everything you need (and more) to quickly settle into a relaxing stay. We appreciated the baby/toddler items, the location to trails/town, and the views. Thanks for having us.

Fabulous Getaway

It was such a quiet, lovely cottage getaway! We loved that it was steps away to the water and all you could hear was nature! The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely return - thank you for the much needed escape!
