Perfect for Family

We absolutely loved our stay. The house had literally everything we needed and the best water heater for family lake trips (9 people taking back to back showers with zero issue)! The neighborhood was pretty quiet and not far from the water/beach. Would definitely consider coming back next time.

Fun for families!

We had a great time at Lake Mac last weekend. The house is compact, but had everything we needed. I appreciated the extra touches like having kids shampoo available, plenty of laundry detergent, and a very well stocked kitchen. The only thing that I would suggest is to make it clearer where the "beach" access is located and that it is seasonal - the lake was only at 45% capacity when we were there, so we had to drive to the beach access in North Shore.

Great Lake Mac property

Super clean and is stocked with everything you would need. My kids loved the bunk bed and the adults loved hanging out on the covered porch.

The house had everything we needed from shower supplies, beach towels and in the kitchen. Every time we asked the question "I wonder if they have a ....' we found it! The host was very nice and responded very quickly. Departure instructions were easy. I would highly recommend this house for future stays!

Worked Perfectly for Us

Our family needed additional space for a Landscape Construction Crew to stay while completing a job in the area. This place was perfect! The communication with the management company and owner was exceptional. The home was clean, organized and well furnished. We will definitely rent again in the future and recommend to our friends.

Great place to stay at Big Mac!

Very nice modern home with well-equipped kitchen, lots of room to enjoy (indoor and out) beds were very comfortable, all the comforts of home, including air conditioning. The host provided a welcome kit with stuff for making smores, a game to enjoy and bucket and shovel to enjoy at the beach. Walking distance to beach, great toad hunting for the kids (adult and children),. 10-minute drive to other beaches, since the beach near the home was suffering a bit from low water levels, I'm sure it would be much better in May through early July. Our family had just a great time!

Great place to stay!

This is an amazing property! Super clean, plenty of room and well stocked with everything. Communication was excellent and check in and check out process was easy. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful place to stay! They thought of everything.

Our family had a wonderful time. We have been coming to lake mcconaughy for years and have stayed in a lot of rentals. This by far was the best place we have stayed. The homeowners thought of everything to make our stay a great one. We will definitely be back next year. Felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel especially with the plush white bathroom towels. Bring your family and food and enjoy a wonderful vacation. The lake is super close and a mini store across the road.

What a gem!

This house has a wonderful location with walking distance to the beach and a quick drive to the nearest boat ramp. The yard is a great space for kids to play. The owners are very organized and thoughtful, providing camp chairs, sports equipment, books, games, movies, and a wagon to walk to the beach. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, and very comfortable beds decorated with beautiful comforters and throw pillows. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect Family Oasis

We had the most wonderful, fun and relaxing time. The location is stunning with incredible views. You have a small private path to the beach. It was magical. The home is a gem. The owner thought of everything from s’mores supplies, yard toys, coloring books and even extra toiletries if needed. The house was spacious, clean, meticulously decorated and so comfortable. Thank you so much for making this vacation such a special time for our families to relax and enjoy our time together.

Great lake rental

We stayed at this property for an extended family vacation. The owners have thought of and stocked the house with everything you could ever need. It was very clean upon arrival and the rooms are huge! The lake decor was very cute. We stayed in the bunk room with our two small children and the only negative thing I have to say about the place is the mattresses were very hard. Other than that we spent allot of time on the covered deck enjoying the view of the lake. There is even a direct access path from the house to the lake. We will book here again.

Comfortable Accommodations

We were very happy with the home and accommodations. The appliances were great, the beds comfortable and the property was well maintained. Our only issue was the drop off at the rear of the house and the abandoned foundation across the driveway. With a 3 and 5 year old we were nervous about them. With the older children neither would have been much of a problem. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much.

Lovely place

Wonderful place and very clean. The house had a great stock of items for all to use. Patio was great and just a short walk to the beach. Will be booking for next years cousin reunion at the same location!

Great place

This is This is very well maintained, clean, and comfortable cabin. Enough room to park 3 truck and boat combos. Will definitely stay again. PS: if you are driving there do not type in the location in Google. It will take you to the wrong address and the gentleman named Scmitty isn't very happy this is happening alot and will absolutely give you an earful 😳 Best directions: turn at cederview, over the tracks and turn right, take the immediate left and follow until it dead ends into the property 👍

Perfect spot for a beach getaway!

Anchors Away was an absolutely perfect spot for our family getaway. The house is amazing - brand new, sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and the owners have thought of absolutely everything you could need (tons of dishes and silverware, pots and pans, storage containers for leftovers, two different coffee makers, hooks for hanging coats/sweatshirts/towels everywhere, chalk markers to label hooks in the bathrooms to keep everyone's towels straight, etc.). There were also lots of kid-friendly touches, like sippy cups, plastic plates, toddler silverware, kids books and crayons, a pack-n-play, and a high chair. We also really appreciated the welcome basket, which was actually in a big bucket that the kids could use to play on the beach. Speaking of the beach, it was just a short (5 minute) walk away, and the house has tons of beach towels and chairs available for guests to use. After a day playing on the beach, we also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio furniture or at the picnic table for dinner, and roasting s'mores over the fire pit.
