この施設について

Big Beachfront Bach- the Surf Chalet

This large, comfortable house is absolute beachfront at the sheltered North end of Taupo Bay and next to the boat ramp for easy access. There are spectacular beach views from most rooms and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and the kiwi calling on the hill above.

With 4 bedrooms and 2 living rooms, it is spacious and well set up for two families or large groups, with plenty of room for up to 12 guests. The fully large section has a fenced lawn in front of the house for the kids to play on and bush up the back to explore.

The kitchen is tidy and well equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher and a fabulous view! There is outdoor dining and a BBQ on the front deck so you can dine and watch the boats launching in the surf.

The bathroom set up is perfect for a bach, with separate shower cubicle, bath, sink and two toilets.

The Surf Chalet is a proper kiwi bach- it is simple, comfortable and great for a relaxing holiday at the beach. We have recently renovated internally so its looking fresh and beautiful inside too!

Taupo Bay is one of the best beaches in NZ, with a long, curved swell-magnet beach and a cool rocky headland to the south. Spend your time surfing, fishing, investigating rock pools, boogie boarding, sunbathing and digging in the sand. Enjoy the fabulous Northland weather on one of its top beaches- you won't want to leave the bay!

Please note: We provide duvets and pillows for beds. Please bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels or you can rent from our property managers

Perfect location and great property

This holiday home is well equiped with all you need to enjoy a relaxing family/friends get away. The beach was great for swimming and the batch is true as advetised - a real beachfront jem with gorgeous views of the bay. We had 3 families with a mixture of teens and adults and we had plenty of space for either quiet or social spaces. Would definately stay here again.

Family get-together

Twelve guests stayed for a long weekend. There was plenty of parking for three vehicles. Located near the safe sandy beach allowed us to swim, paddle board, surf, fish and take a good walk to the estuary at the far end and back. The view from the house was amazing.Some beds were more comfortable than others and all but one bed were up stairs. The ranch slider in the downstairs bedroom could not be opened. The two toilets are located downstairs along with a small shower room and a bath room. We couldn't find a clothesline but appreciated the washing machine and clothes airers.The kitchen was well equipped including a dishwasher. We didn't have enough chairs nor could we all fit around the round table for meals. There were more tables and chairs on the deck.The various lounge chairs and sofas, upstairs and downstairs, were not easy for an older person to get in and out of! The vacuum cleaners were not able to do their job. We had to look under furniture on arrival for objects dangerous to a crawling baby.There were spider webs and lots of 'long' flies at night!Insect repellant for the beach is a must.The outside tap was very useful for sandy feet.A bit sad not being able to use the sauna nor the fireplace.Overall we had a lovely weekend helped by the good weather and good company!

Big house Big veiws

Huge house with separate areas for relaxing, playing board games, watching the veiws, space for kids to play in the bunk room and hide and seek throughout the large house. Close to the playground and you can watch your children play fr the dining window. Great swimming boogie boarding right infront of the house.

Fabulous stay

We were 2 adults and 6 kids and absolutely loved it. The batch had a seperate studio where the kids stayed which was great. Very clean and refurbished.
