Our stay was incredible. The house was clean, very easy to find. There were loads of games to play. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very responsive, we will definitely be staying there again for future vacations.

Perfect for our girls trip weekend!The upstairs was large enough for our group of five to have room to talk and be together comfortably. Quiet neighborhood and located on a cul-de-sac. It advertised parking for two vehicles but we managed to squeeze in four. FYI, the coffee maker takes large cone-shaped filters.

Nice house in a beautiful and convenient location. It has comfortable furniture and beds. However, attention to detail is needed. Dishwasher had standing water in it and did not work during our stay. Kitchen is well stocked, but does need a working can opener and a few more cooking supplies for larger groups --- for example, additional serving bowls and a large soup pot would be helpful. Additional bath rags (only 3 were supplied) are needed along with better lighting in downstairs bedrooms-- they are very dark. With these updates and changes, this house could really live up to its potential.

Amazing stay

We had such a great time. We were in town for our nieces wedding and absolutely loved our stay. We were very comfortable and just enjoyed being in nature and admiring all the views. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would love to come back and explore more of Sapphire.

Beautiful mountain home!

The home is beautiful and located in the heart of sapphire valley. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. The view is full of mountain trees and the neighborhood is very quiet. There’s a cute firepit area in the backyard and a porch to sit to enjoy the mountains. The location is perfect to visit highlands, cashiers, local trails and golf courses. We loved the home and highly recommend for a mountain trip getaway! The host was very responsive and helpful when we needed assistance.

Great property. Family that stayed downstairs said it was warm in the basement bedrooms. There are split units but they indicated the units were loud. Also, the dishwasher was not draining and leaking so we were unable to use. I know these comments seem negative but it truly was a beautiful home and nice place to stay. These minor issues, I’m sure, will be resolved by the owner. We would rent the property again.

Spacious and Quiet

The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of room and the lower floor is perfect for families with older kids. There are plenty of local places to eat and a very well stocked grocery store near by. We enjoyed the amenities at the resort. The pools, game room, and putt putt course were great fun!We would definitely rent this house again.

This cabin was everything we could’ve hoped for and more! It’s incredibly spacious yet cozy—perfect for a family retreat. Thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need (and then some!), it made our stay effortless and comfortable.The location is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of North Carolina, and the nearby community amenities—just 8 minutes away—were a fantastic bonus that took our experience to the next level.A huge shoutout to the owner, who was exceptionally responsive and proactive with helpful suggestions throughout our stay. His attention and involvement made a real difference, and we’re so grateful.We had an absolute blast with our five kids and created memories we’ll cherish. Highly, highly recommended!

Wonderful!

This impeccable home in paradise was perfect for our family (4 generations!). Every amenity is provided for you, just bring the groceries! We came for the snow, and it didn’t disappoint. Watching it fall out the huge picture window while sitting by the roaring fire was idyllic. It was much too cold to enjoy the decks, but they are beautiful. I look forward to a summer trip to take full advantage of that outdoor oasis. Everything you could possibly want to see or do on a mountain getaway is right there. Our host, Alfredo, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions. Honestly, 10/10 for a host! Even the neighbors are super friendly. I can’t say enough about our short little stay. We can’t wait to return when we have more time.

We enjoyed stayng at this place. Chose it due to proximity of ski resort we planned on visiting. The owner has provided very detailed instructions along with videos, which was helpful. Staying at this property comes with amenities perks that the owner has generously shared. The house is older but well maintained and clean. Came with everything we needed to stay on a short vacation, toiletries was unexpected but a nice bonus I did not see at other short term rentals. Pay attention to road conditions as the road leading to the house may be steep at times.

The house was very nice, esp upstairs. Bathrooms/rugs could have been cleaner. Mini-splits didn’t operate well at all. Downstairs linens not well stocked and bed uncomfortable.

My Family and I, chose this place because it’s a perfect cabin in the mountain to enjoy special christmas day. This place has a beautiful view to the mountain and special trail to enjoy a hiking experience around the community. The Cabin is clean and all appliances works!

Great vacation

The host responded promptly the house very clean. The driveway was not as deep as other places we have stayed in. It was actually very nice and we got to see a bear within the first hour of us arriving there.

We stayed here for two nights while taking a tour of WCU fir our children. The house was lovely and well decorated. Everything was great and any questions I had were swiftly answered. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Could use some TLC

Pros: access to the resort amenities ($25 per amenity card per week-we got 1 for me and 1 for my husband-or $5/day), as the pools, arcade and mini golf were enjoyable, as was the beach and fairfield lake. The bathrooms in the house appear to have been updated at some point. The upstairs deck is nice enough during the day. Cons: The house could use some TLC. No curtains on the sliding glass doors in the downstairs room with the bunk beds. The kitchen and its appliances are old. The dryer stopped working mid-cycle on first use. The host offered to send a tech but this was our vacation and we weren't available to wait for one to show up. Also, VRBO will charge you a nonrefundable service fee and the company that manages the property, Evolve, will charge you a nonrefundable "Damage Protection" fee to book the house. We might consider returning to this resort community for the amenities mentioned but to stay in a lakeside home or villa.

This home is comfortable and private which is exactly what we were looking for. A few problems that couldn't be prevented-broken water main in town and a fridge issue. But Alfredo was on top of all of it and responded quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed using the amenities at the resort and honestly just had a great time relaxing at the house.

Wonderful, cozy mountain get-away

The home is lovely and perfect for families, especially for someone with mobility issues. The first-floor master makes things very easy! The home is close to area amenities and activities. The bunk room downstairs makes it possible to have a few kiddos sleep comfortably. Alfredo was a terrific host - even left us an Ingles card so we could get a discount. We would definitely stay again!!

Best ever

This home was a pleasant surprise, nestled in the mountains and private. The beds and furniture were super comfortable. There were a few minor issues while we were there, Alfredo was quick to help and give us info. We enjoyed using the amenities and fishing. Would definitely stay again! We were blessed with the sighting of a white squirrel!
