Nestled in woods by the water, this 600 sq ft, Conestoga Log Cabin is cozy & rustic, yet meets all of your needs.

STUNNING LOCATION

Sandy Cove is a Christian retreat center with 200+ acres on the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay, offering beautiful views in all seasons.

Pamper your family with a log cabin stay! It's a great opportunity to allow the kids more space - both inside the cabin and outside in the great outdoors.

Our Log Cabins measure 27′ x 14’7″, with a 6′ porch. There is a set of bunk beds in one room, a living area with a futon, a separate bedroom with a double bed and a loft with 2 single beds. Each cabin sleeps a maximum of 8 people (that’s putting 2 people on a futon so they should be little ones!) and includes a large full bathroom. Each has A/C and heat, and a kitchen unit with a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, microwave, sink and table with 4 chairs. All linens are included. Kitchen supplies are provided. Charcoal grill, fire pit and picnic table are available on site.

THE SPACE

Surrounded by 200+ acres of God's beautiful creation, you can make your stay a peaceful, quiet time, taking part in as many activities on property as you choose.

Many activities are available including mini golf, sports fields, trails, pools, hot tub (& more, seasonally). You can download the free CampersAPP, choose Sandy Cove as your destination, and use the passcode “Sandycove” to see the other activities/amenities available during your stay.

Just 4 miles from the quaint town of North East, you can spend the day shopping, antiquing, strolling Main Street or enjoy a bite at one of the many local restaurants - from coffee shops to fine dining!

Service dogs are permitted with a signed waiver required prior to check-in.

COVID-19

We are making extra efforts to keep Sandy Cove as safe and healthy an environment as possible, as we take all reasonable measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are following the guidance provided by the CDC and local health departments and ask you and/or your family to follow all current state and local regulations as well.

No alcohol permitted on property.

Quiet hours are from 10:30pm - 7:00am.

At the pool & hot tub, females are required to wear modest, one-piece bathing suits. Males are required to wear loose-fitting swim shorts.

Memories of Summer Camp

A little rustic for us, but we had so much fun just hanging out and playing games. They make use of every inch of the cabin. Beds were comfortable. You do hear every move anyone makes in the cabin. Cleanliness is in line with what you expect from a camp experience. Staff is friendly. We had some issues with the communication between VRBO and the resort - did not receive instruction for check-in or check-out. It is a beautiful spot for a resort, right on the water. And it's only a few minutes from Blue Elk Vineyard!

Tiny house, big fun

This is a unique property on a large campus for Christian retreat. It's peaceful and picturesque and there are plenty of amenities to keep the family busy. We had a lovely time.

Great getaway!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin on the Sandy Cove Ministries campground. Staying here allowed use of all the activities with no additional cost. Loved it and looking forward to the next trip here!

Nice place!

We rented two cabins at this resort for a family reunion. For check-in, our key code didn't work, but we received quick help. The cabin was very cute, equipped with everything we needed, and was super clean. Staff are very friendly. We rented kayaks and participated in some of the activities offered; our trip was spectacular!

Log Cabin Review

Lovely log cabin nestled in a Christian retreat center. VRBO listing in not affiliated with the center. But VRBO did not disclose that no alcohol was allowed on site. Listing was also confusing because once we were onsite the property indicates only “service dogs” were allowed, but the VRBO listing said “pet friendly”. It did not end up being an issue for us, but that was disconcerting. The relationship between the VRBO cabin listing and the retreat center amenities is unclear. We were not sure if we could use the pool or mini golf course. Overall the cabin itself was great, cozy and accommodating. But the relationship between the VRBO listing and the retreat center was unclear. Would recommend and recommend doing some research so you could comfortably navigate the property.

Beautiful location

If you are not familiar with Sandy Cove, check it out online. It is a Christian retreat center with amenities like a pool, miniature golf, marina, dock and game room. The cabin in which we stayed was extremely clean. I was amazed at the lack of spider webs; I finally found a tiny one clinging to a rafter. That is very unusual for a cabin the woods and told me that the clean staff goes above and beyond. The view overlooking the water is beautiful, and it is in the perfect spot to watch the sun set. The cabin's beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all we needed including a small coffee maker and a toaster. We will definitely be back.

Excellent place, clean and quiet. They are pet friendly so we had the chance to take our dogs with us...it was great.
