Blue Whale Cottage offers a truly special vantage point overlooking the famous St. Martins Sea Caves. From the windows, you can watch the tides flow in and out of the caves throughout the day—a rare and unforgettable experience that makes this cottage stand out. Whether the tide is full or completely empty, the ever-changing views create a front-row seat to one of the Bay of Fundy’s most remarkable natural features.
The cottage is a bright, spacious, single-level home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. The open layout creates a comfortable gathering space, filled with natural light and coastal views from every room.
Outside, guests can relax in the hot tub, which is sheltered by a newly built hemlock gazebo with a metal roof—perfect for enjoying the space in any weather. A propane fire table adds to the outdoor experience and creates a cozy spot to unwind in the evenings.
Located directly across the street from the Sea Caves and local restaurants, Blue Whale Cottage offers exceptional walkability. The entrance to Fundy Trail Provincial Park is just a 10-minute drive away, placing hiking and scenic coastal adventures within easy reach.
The cottage is equipped with a heat pump, ensuring year-round comfort in all seasons. While the interior is all on one level, there are steps leading into the cottage. Because of this, the property may not be the best fit for guests with mobility concerns.

This property surpassed our expectations! Loved all the extras like puzzles, games, robes, plenty of towels. Cozy coastal decor. Hosts were friendly and accessible during our stay. Perfect Ocean Getaway

The Blue Whale was the perfect backdrop for our gals trip long weekend! This home has everything you need, spectacular views, and excellent proximity to shops and restaurants, as well as the Fundy Trail Provincial Park. Love the covered hot tub for rainy days!

Beautiful place and excellent location

We just loved the Blue Whale! The location was amazing, seeing the Sea Caves and watching the tide from the rental was just fantastic. The hot tub was a favorite too and the robes were a great extra touch. Everything was perfect. We grilled and cooked meals in the unit and having the Caves restaurant so close was wonderful. We bought scallops at Spinneys seafood market - they were delicious! We also had Lobster Rolls for takeout. Very yummy! Huttges was a great place for groceries and meat. Beds were super comfy and the host let us use a cot which was also comfy.

Great place in the perfect location

We loved it from the moment we pulled in the driveway right till the last minute. Its location, the views, cleanliness, attention to detail. I mean theres a private hot tub! Everything we needed to feel perfectly at home was there and Becky was always just minutes away if we needed anything.(Thanks for the extra box of Kleenex) This is not just a place to stay. It's a destination

We had a great stay at your place! It was clean, well stocked with all the kitchen doors labeled. We had local coffee waiting for us as well which we quite enjoyed! We even completed your challenging wooden cat puzzle! Thank you for helping us make great memories with our kids!

Amazing house view...everything

We stayed 7 days. There were 3 of us. 1 bedroom each(1 king, 1queen and a twin size with memory foam mattresses), and two full bathrooms. The hot tub was inspected daily to make sure it was just right. Plenty of room. Becky, the host, seemed to think of everything. Including nightlights, robes to wear to the hot tub and even laundry soap! The house was beautiful and the view of the bay and the sea cave great?

The Blue Whale is amazing

the cottage was perfect, the owner was excellent and gave extra attention to our special requests, the location and view were great. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this property. If I had to find a negative, the beds were soft, but that is purely personal preference not a reflection of the cottage.

Great location

Location can’t be beat. You can walk to the caves from here. There are a couple nice restaurants across the road. Close to the Provincial Park. Close to the local store. The VRBO has everything you could need and more. Communication with the host was easy and responses were within minutes. Quiet and relaxing. The photos on the website don’t really do it justice. One of the nicest VRBO’s for the price.

Lovely Whale-Themed cottage

Although we had a very busy agenda and did not get a chance to fully enjoy the cottage, we found it to be a wonderful property with all the amenities/well-stocked kitchen and laundry facility, and a hot tub to boot! The view of the Caves from the front windows NEVER got boring and the location was ideal--it allowed us to get to our other New Brunswick spots easily. We did not discover the Fundy Trail Parkway till the evening before, on our way back from Fundy National Park but it was absolutely beautiful and scenic and turned out to be so close to the cottage. Our hosts Becky and Shawn were very responsive to our questions and concerns, and it was so nice they provided some fresh ground local coffee which was very enjoyable. Little added things like this are always appreciated. Would highly recommend and if we are back in the area, would definitely stay there again!

I started with one rental cottage in 2019, and over time that little project grew into three coastal cottages that I now host under Cave View Cottages. Hosting has become something I’m genuinely passionate about, and I take a lot of pride in creating spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for.
By day, I’m an elementary school teacher and the mom of a teenager. That background has shaped the way I host—organization, clear communication, and attention to detail matter to me, and I want guests to feel at ease from the moment they arrive. I understand how important it is to have a space that feels both relaxing and reliable, whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.
I live nearby and am very familiar with the area, so I’m always happy to share local tips, restaurant recommendations, or ideas for exploring the coast. While I respect guests’ privacy, I’m never far away if you need anything or have questions during your stay.
St. Martins and the Bay of Fundy are special places, and I feel lucky to welcome guests to this beautiful part of the coast through Cave View Cottages. I look forward to hosting you and helping make your stay a memorable one.
