Disappointing vacation!
My name is Gary and I booked this vacation because I needed an elevator. Two days before my vacation 14 July 2022 I was informed by a phone call that the elevator in our condo had just broke and it wouldn’t be fixed until the end of the season. When I asked what the plan was I was told that they had nothing to provide me as an alternative because they had no other 3 bedroom condos to offer me. So now as a disabled veteran who is awaiting double knee replacements, I’m forced to climb 4 flights of stairs which I have tripped and fell twice during our vacation. I can’t cancel the trip and destroy the people we invited plans. So I have to plan my day around making trips up and down the steep stairs to limit the chance of getting hurt and messing up everyone’s vacation. Two days I had to sit in my truck and wait for my family because I was in to much pain to make the extra trips up and down the steep stairs. That’s not even the worst part, once meeting some of the owners during our stay at the condos. We where told that the elevator had been broken for over a month. Which means they knew shortly after we booked our trip they could have informed us and allowed us to look for a different place to stay. I can only assume that making money was more important then ensuring the customers needs are meet. This was the absolute worst trip I’ve ever had in my life. To top it all off the cleaning crew you have hired to take care of the condos at Ocean Terrace are truly a disservice to the owners and isn’t worth the money they are paid. The shower handle was broken off and laying in the tub hadn’t been reported to be fixed so our first showers where cold ones.
