Life was tough in the days when Vasco da Gamma was trying to find the best place in the world to live and it took years for him to get to America. I guess the same thing happened to us when we were trying to find our dream cottage. And we happened to find the most beautiful spot on the lake to live our dreams, a place where you can enjoy the beauty of the lake from 3 sides as if one is living on an island, a place where the humming birds reside and become your friends, a place where you can swim, kayak, Fish, paddle boat without leaving the cottage, a place which you can call home away from home. After enjoying the peace and tranquility of this magnificent lake cottage with our family and friends, we are now opening up this 4 season cottage to a discerning few who enjoy peace, tranquility & pure magic.

We had a lovely 8 days with friends. The fishing was not so good this year, but the weather was gorgeous and the cottage gives a wonderful lake experience. I would recommend, it’s a lovely place.

The Cottage was very clean with everything you need for cooking. The views of the Lake Sharbot were as advertised and one of my favorite things to do was lookout the big window drinking a coffee and listen to nature. Both docks made it easy to fish swim and paddle board from.

Amazing Place

We had an amazing stay. Beautiful location in front of Shalbot lake. Cottage is fully equipped. All you need is a good book. Recommend it 100%

Picturesque

Quiet and calming vacation with our friends in a beautiful lakeside cottage. Great fishing and kayaking. The home has everything you need and also has lovely outdoor space. I would recommend!

2 week work from home getaway at the cottage

It was great to work a reduced day and then enjoy the lake and amenities. Internet upload speed was just good enough <1mb/s Couldn’t do video but voice was ok.

Excellent Week at the Lake

This cottage and setting are as beautiful and peaceful as the photos suggest. The cottage has everything you need. We loved the deck with its multiple levels and its great views. The kayaks were great for exploring the lake and the firepit was fun at night. The town of Sharbot lake is a close drive and has a very well-stocked grocery store (that was even open on the Civic Holiday). Thanks for a great stay!

Secluded cottage in the forest

We have fished at Sharbot Lake for over 20 years-but Covid put our fishing on hold for 2 years. We feel so fortunate to have found this beautiful place. The home is lovely and comfortable with all you might need. The deck and surroundings are perfect for outdoor living. We fished, we picnic, we swam and we enjoyed. We truly would recommend.

Exceeded Expectations

This was a superb cottage experience, with everything top notch, and exceeding our expectations. The cottage itself was very private, and very spacious. It had a large dining table, and very comfy furniture in the living room area (super loungers with an ottoman!). Both bedrooms had marvellous views, and very comfortable beds. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and such. Outside, the deck was great, lots of room and marvellous views. It was well-outfitted with a hammock, lawn chairs, a good sized outdoor dining table , a couple of umbrellas, and a double swing chair. Down at one of the two docks we enjoyed evening fires in another lot of Adirondacks. There was a paddleboat, two adult kayaks and three smaller ride-ons for kids. Lots of toys, if needed! The better swimming was from the second dock, down a few steps from the deck directly in front of the cottage. Our host (Deepa) was very accommodating, patiently answering my usual plethora of questions . All in all, you cannot go wrong with this cottage. Enjoy!

Peaceful and pretty

The cottage is exactly as listed…clean, well-appointed and located on the perfect spot. There is wildlife everywhere—river otters, muskrats, hummingbirds, loons and more! Lots of things to do on the lake (kayaking, swimming, using the paddle boat), and we found that just sitting at the campfire or watching the wildlife filled up the rest of the time. Thanks so much for making your lovely spot available for others to enjoy!

Even better than expected!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everything from the quiet area to the cozy and very clean home to the wonderful outdoor spaces with the decks and fire pit was just what our family wanted! Even the fishing was good which was a bonus to the whole trip!

A Diamond in the Rough

This rental location and cottage is absolutely amazing. From the breath taking view, to the peaceful silence. The otters playing and tumbling in the lake right in front of you as the water rippled through the silence. A lovely fire pit next to the sandy waters edge where the kayak and paddle boat await. A new ownership for the hosts this summer. Their pride of ownership was clear as they did their best to make us comfortable. The hosts are friendly and patient. It was my first VROB rental and they were easy to work with and available. This was also the hosts first official rental and clearly they are eager to learn and make their renters comfortable. We wish them all the best as they move forward in their new endeavour. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.
